The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with getting my rental shoes before I went into class. My first class was with Erin at 8:30 am on a Monday. I thought the class would be packed but it was actually the opposite. There were only a handful of us in class and while I thought Erin's routine and music selection were good ... the energy was lacking. As an instructor myself I definitely think if there were more people in the room it would be a completely different experience. ALSO, they left me a really nice note welcoming me back to SoulCycle which I thought was a really nice touch. My second class was with Nicolette on a Wednesday at 6:00 pm and it was jumpin'. When I walked in I was greeted with people with bald caps on haha. SoulCycle is known for doing themes every once in awhile. Little did I know I was there for the Mr.Worldwide ride (Pitbull). The instructor and some of the students dressed up which was a lot of fun. Although this class wasn't full either I was smiling, laughing, singing along and working hard because the energy in the room was high. At the end of class Nicolette gave us such an inspiring takeaway to remind us to keep going ... even when you're not sure where you're headed ... keep going! If you're looking for a high energy cardio workout I would recommend a class. First ride is $20.

I took my first class and it was challenging for me. Holly must have 10 pairs of eyes because she didn't skip a beat with anyone in that class. She was attentive to all of her students and recognized everyone's level of fitness and addressed their rides accordingly. Joining this team has been one of the best things that has happened to me in a while. I went from not working out for over 3 years to waking up every other day at 4:45 am just to make it to class! Briana is a BEAST. Not only does she push me, but she leaves no team member out! I still have no idea how she knows everyone's name, it's like a one on one but as a whole! I feel invigorated during and at the end of each class! Her playlist is LEGIT and you feel pumped with every beat. She even shares her Spotify playlist, so that if we enjoy a song, we can listen to it for the rest of the day. I have nothing but the best things to say about this facility and every single person who works there. Diane is always willing to help, whether it's by handing out fresh, clean towels to texting me 10 minutes before class to make sure I'm on my way! She's truly so lovely. The stadium seating really helps everyone see the instructor. State of the art sound system is loud and really helps the experience (especially when you compare to other studios). Shoe rental is free and there's good availability of sizes, I've never had an issue. I do wish they had more retail available. I think that's the one area they're really missing out on. They celebrate birthdays, ride milestones, gender reveals like no other! Highly recommend if you're in the area for a class. Your first one is free!

They charged me again the following month and it took an additional 2 weeks for Alan to agree to refund the charge, promising to call me to ensure everything was sorted. He never called (all of this happened over email as they refuse to get on the phone). I was charged again this month, despite trying now for three months to cancel. THIS PLACE IS SHADY AF.

Every single one I have ever had has always been extremely intense and will work out just as hard if not harder than you during the class. Heidi was no different. Not only was she awesome before class - helping us rookies to Rush Cycling ( which btw, is a spin class on a bike that can lean right and left, so you can get a more full bodied workout), but during the class, watching her KILL it on her bike, while motivating us to keep going, that really left me in awe. At the end of one of the runs, she left out a huge "whooooo" which as any spin person knows, is that moment at the very end, after you've wanted to give up for the last 2 minutes, but you didn't, you kept going, and now you are basically letting it all go by giving yourself a verbal high five for slaying it. It's just cool because spin instructors really work out and work out hard with you. That makes you feel like you can do it too. that alone makes me want to come back. A couple of other things: 1) If you've never done this before, you will feel pain the next day. It might even be hard to walk or sit. Factor that into your plans 2) There is parking in the area 3) Rush Cycling is on the Third Floor of the New Brunswick Center. 4) The studio has towels, butt pads you can borrow for the class, and water for purchase.

Rushcycling has a special kind of bike that maneuvers left and right as your riding. It is tricky to understand at first but after a few classes you will get the hang of it. One tip for all newcomers that want to try spin, the next day, your inner thighs and behind will be in pain caused from the seat of the bike. This is normal!
