I wanted a smoothie and I had money. Shouldn't be too difficult, right? With the statewide COVID-19 hysteria, everyone in the store (half-a-dozen customers and two staff) was wearing masks. As you may already know, masks sort of muffle voices and elocution, so verbal instructions are a little harder to understand. That's why the time-share salesman on the phone doesn't wear one when he calls you at dinnertime. Yet some nitwit at this particular Jamba Juice thought it was a good idea to have the background music cranked up to 11 so that no one could be heard without screaming. As I dutifully waited in line six feet away from my fellow customers, the dialog at the service counter went something like this: "MAY I PLEASE HAVE A DINGLEBERRY AND RAW OYSTER SMOOTHIE WITH FAKE SOY MILK AND SPRINKLES OF GRASS CLIPPINGS ON IT?" "WHAT SIZE?" "WHAT?" "WHAT?" "I WANT A DINGLEBERRY AND RAW OYSTER SMOOTHIE WITH FAKE SOY MILK AND SPRINKLES OF GRASS CLIPPINGS ON IT!" "LARGE, GARGANTUAN, OR MEGABIG?" and so on until the order was placed - perhaps even correctly. Of course this slowed the already glacial pace of commerce as the overworked pair of Jambarees raised the sound level even further by using outboard-motor-sized blenders to pulverize frozen chunks of who-knows-what into smoothies. One Asian guy work here last Thursday around 5:30 he gave me a hard time about promotion last Thursday when I came in to store make a purchased it's nation wide, his said I cannot get how stupid it's that his said I have to bring a friend with me to store in-order to get this promotion. When I got there after 30 minutes my order was not done but the person that was still paying at the cash register had their drinks already done. I ordered 3 drinks and they had 3 drinks. I am so happy that I work near a Jamba Juice. I fell in love with it here when I was studying abroad in Australia and now I go every time I see one. I went first thing in the morning as soon as the opened. Despite waiting at the door for them to open, they were very friendly and welcoming. I got my usual medium razzmatazz made with a smile and went on my way. It was made perfectly! I love that the raspberry and orange are the flavors that stand out. I don't like bananas and I love that they are only in this smoothie for texture and I can't taste it. I am happy to be able to go to a place where they are friendly even at 6:30 AM because I know that sometimes it is hard to be nice that early in the morning. I wasn't feeling well yesterday, so I did a search for the nearest Jamba so I could get one of those smoothies with a Vita boost. I think it's been years since I've last been to a Jamba location ... but, thankfully, this store was only 10 minutes away, so I was able to get my Jamba fix after work. Once I entered the plaza, I was easily able to spot Jamba--it's on the side by VONS and Starbucks--and I didn't have to wait long to order, since there was only one customer in front of me. Good thing there weren't more customers, cause there was only one guy behind the counter! I was debating between the "Peanut Butter Moo'd"--which I have only had once--and the "Chocolate Moo'd," which used to be my go-to order from Jamba. I noticed a "PB Chocolate" option on the menu (which was slightly more expensive), and I asked the guy behind the counter about the difference between the "Peanut Butter Moo'd" and the "PB Chocolate" (it seemed pretty similar ... except one just had chocolate and one didn't). He was a bit unsure about the differences, but he said he thought the "Peanut Butter Moo'd" had more nutrients (bananas, soy milk, etc.) than the "PB Chocolate" option. Though I love the peanut butter-chocolate combo dearly, I figured I had better try to get the smoothie that was slightly more healthy (of course, the options I was considering were not the healthiest because they aren't the fruit-based ones, but creamy peanut butter sounded good to me). I ordered the small size and asked for a Vita boost--my, how times have changed, since you now have to pay 25 cents for a boost (it was free the last time I ever went to Jamba)--but I needed all the vitamins I could to shake this under-the-weather feeling. Another customer came into the store while I waited for my order, but it wasn't long before my smoothie was ready. I had forgotten to tell the guy that I wanted my smoothie "finely crushed" so there would be no lingering ice chunks. Fortunately for me, the smoothie was blended pretty well, so I wasn't crunching on ice as I sipped my drink. Though this spot has gotten some negative reviews, I would visit it again, thanks to its close proximity to my workplace and friendly service. I can see how this location may be a slower store--if there's only one person behind the counter--but I didn't mind because the worker was friendly, and my smoothie hit the spot. Here's what I would recommend, based on this and my previous Jamba experiences: "Peanut Butter Moo'd": I think I only got this smoothie once when I was younger--I never really deviated from the "Chocolate" version--but I'm glad I gave it another shot on this recent Jamba tip. It includes peanut butter, bananas, non-fat vanilla frozen yogurt and chocolate moo'd milk chocolate. The menu might have changed slightly (from online) because the guy told me that there was no chocolate in this smoothie ... but I guess I looked disappointed, so he added some in for me. I definitely enjoyed the strong peanut butter flavor (couldn't taste much chocolate), and I ordered my "Moo'd" with the Vita boost and sans bananas. Note: The workers do ask if you have any allergies, so props to them for being sensitive and mindful of job responsibilities. "Chocolate Moo'd": This was my go-to order at Jamba in the past and it's no surprise, being that I love chocolate. This smoothie is one of the sweeter options and features a blend of nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt and creamy chocolate. I would always ask for the ice to be finely shaven, so they would keep the blender with my smoothie contents going for slightly longer. I don't mind the occasional ice crunch when drinking my smoothie, but I've definitely had Jamba smoothies that were filled with ice chunks and required chewing! I love the "Chocolate Moo'd" because it's sweeter, but not overwhelmingly rich. You can taste the sweet frozen yogurt blend that's accentuated with the chocolate flavor. This treat is refreshing at any time, but especially when the weather's warm outside. "Orange Dream Machine": This is my auntie's favorite smoothie from Jamba because it tastes like a creamsicle, and she orders it on every visit. It includes orange juice, orange sherbet and non-fat vanilla frozen yogurt. I don't like orange at all so I wouldn't order this smoothie, but my auntie says she loves the citrusy taste that's complemented by the sweet vanilla fro-yo that balances it out perfectly. read more

I think they have opened recently. Very small store. But that's not the bad part though. The bad part is, they always screw-up the orders. I never got the order right, Ever. Either the cup size was wrong, or the flavor, or they forgot to add something, or burn my Jalapeno twist. Every time I go there with the hope that, this time they will serve me exactly what I have ordered. But then again, boom. The only reason I keep continue going over there is because of the location. I don't understand why this place only has 2 and 1/2 stars.. Everytime i come here I and fully satisfied in terms of the service and my smoothie. I came here yesterday and it wasn't my first time. I ordered the new apple and vegetable smoothie and it was the best tasting drink i've had in Jamba Juice. I've started coming here more now that I have their Insider Rewards. It definitely helps giving me $$ off so I'm not spending a lot. They send you a free drink on your birthday and you don't have remember a rewards card, just put your number in at the register and it comes up. So far I've has the Chocolate Peanut Butter Love that I enjoyed a lot! Tastes like a treat but has 14g of protein. And today the cashier Margaret helped me in getting their new veggie Tropical Greens "juice". She modified it to have extra mango & Greek yogurt to be thicker like a smoothie and similar to their Kale-ribbean drink. I enjoyed it a lot and she gave me the receipt with the recipe on it so I can return and get it made the same. I've been coming to this location for quite sometime and the workers now know my name. When I come here, I usually order the acai primo,oatmeal, or the mango a go go. The mango drink and the oatmeal are always consistent when they make it, it's just that when I order the acai primo, it's a hit or miss. It's thick in texture at times and other times, it's runny. Horrible customer service and management! This place is totally unprofessional about how they manage it and how they don't have a working application website to access the real application for me not to go into the restaurant to follow up so many times and I have been in contact with Michelle twice one time this month and another time last month and I have gotten a weird vibe from her from the start of when she took me outside to humiliate me to tell me that I wouldn't be a great fit for the position and after I left about a month ago I was humiliated by her and it was an uncomfortable situation! She is the most rudest person and extremely mean spirited as well especially if someone wants to find a job. I wouldn't recommend working at this place and also would not ever be a customer there again for how much money I have spend on their juice! You have lost two great customers! Maybe I'm biased because I love tropical smoothie, but Jamba Juice isn't bad. Lots of choices to fulfill any craving or need you may have. The staff there is awesome and helpful. It's Jamba Juice, it's a chain, there's not much you can say. They have their standard ways of making their smoothies so you're not going to find much difference between them. Are they overpriced? Yup. But sometimes it's just what you want and you gotta have it. Are there smoothies deceptively high in sugars and carbs? Oh yeah. You need to be an informed consumer when ordering from here. Generally, I prefer to jamba my own juice, but recent happenings including singeing my immersion blender's power cord on the gas stove, getting a JJ gift card, and sore throat led me to jamba juice. The menu has expanded since I was a kid, you can now select yogurt type smoothies, smoothies with fruits and veggies, smoothies without milk, smoothies with milk, smoothies with soymilk, etc. I opted for the fruit and veggie smoothie, the Berry UpBeet which had berries, mango, and red veggies. Of course, like any veggie pulverized with frozen fruit, there was not a taste of veggie in the smoothie. It tasted of berries and was refreshing. Of course, JJ probably uses some sort of industrial/professional/vita mix type blender, so the smoothie was uniformly blended, leaving no chunks of junk mixed in as usually happens when I make a smoothie with a run of the mill immersion blender. I will agree that it is a bit expensive to be a regular visitor, but I love the orange dream machine and would to visit more often. I have tried other varieties, but always come back to old faithful. After my wisdom tooth extraction, I stayed on a soft diet for about 24 hours (I had a great surgeon so recovery was quick lol). Smoothies was on the list of things I was allowed to eat so I stopped by my local Jamba. All of the smoothies were pretty good, but they lacked the pizazz factor that many other local juice bars have. The flavors were there, but the overall experience felt pretty sterile, but safe. I got a Caribbean Passion (a classic) and my girl got their Chunky Strawberry bowl (which was a little bit pricey) and I was in and out of there in about 5-10 minutes.
