Birthday Celebration Disappointment Ordered Custom Birthday Cake on Tuesday 2/07/2023 for pickup Thursday 2/09/2023 after7:00 PM. Because this was an important Family Celebration I didn't want any problems with the Order. I tried calling 4 or 5 times on Wednesday to verify the order would be ready as promised. The phone was never answered regardless of what time I called. Voicemail was not available. Tried calling multiple times again on Thursday with the same result. NO ANSWER. My worst fear but not really a surprise. The CAKE WAS NOT READY!! No real explanation from the employee at the time or from Rocio Ruiz, the Manager, who call me at my request on Friday, 2/10/2023. Ms. Rocio said she was very, very sorry, but never provided a satisfactory explanation. Leaving review as an Uber Eats delivery driver since I cannot do that through the app. I picked up the order (a milkshake), and although the associate was very pleasant, I do not logically understand why a milkshake (a liquid item) was placed inside a much larger paper bag? And not secured in any way (stapled around, etc,)? It was only stapled on top, so that I couldn't even move the item around inside the bag (understandably so because of food safety). Of course, during transit since there was so much room inside this bag, the milkshake container tipped and spilled all over the bag. Please, please, find a different way to bag your items! I originally saw on google that this place closes up at 10 pm. My wife and I walked up at 9:30 pm and the doors were locked. I understand that the worker has close out duties and that he is the only one there. That doesn't justify him closing up 30 minutes before closing. Keep the store open until the alotted time or change your hours to what the actual closing time is. Went with my boyfriend on a Saturday night around 7 pm. We waited 20 mins in line while the one employee attempted to make / take all of the orders. Terrible customer service at this location from the girl working at 1:00 pm on 5/27. I hope the owner of this franchise is aware of the unprofessional customer service. The cakes were mislabeled for the flavor I was looking for. The flavor was not statedcorrectly on the label. I had placed the box ( that I was going to purchase) on the floor, because I was afraid I would drop the many I was jumbling through. In doing so, the worker came and aggressively picked up my box and placed to the side. I Explained to her that I was looking for mint not chocolate chip. I asked if they had cakes in the back, she said no. Apparently, she was angered that I had placed the cake I was going to buy on the ground, stating "it was unsanitary." Her response, was that I should just "go to Balboa." Look, I understand,if you are having a bad or perhaps you're not a happy person, but the worse thing you can do as customer service is take it out on customers. Twice now in the last week I've been here for a shake and the employee refuses to make one saying she is out of milk. She tried to tell me tonight that the manager only buys the milk from sprouts next door on Saturdays. That's ridiculous. Im sure milk is part of the delivery order when ice cream and napkins and spoons and cakes are delivered. There was a different employee who worked nights for the last year and she always made us shakes without an issue. Now there's a new girl and conveniently no milk. There's no one in there- it's not busy. It's hard to believe they are running of milk. I think this boils down to laziness, and it's really disappointing. Here is what I ordered: 2 scoop sundae (Jamocha Almond Fudge and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough) There was a half melted scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough and no jamocha almond fudge. There, was, however, some green stuff (cleanser?) floating in there. I asked to add chopped almonds. Got that. The store was dirty, not filthy but dirty. The tables weren't clean, the trash can at the door was overflowing and the bathroom said out of order on it, but they can use it freely. We received the wrong flavor and when it was brought to the managers/supervisors attention - it was a smug Oh were sorry and that's it. No offer of a refund or even another scoop. The manager/supervisor then showed even more of an un professional demeaner bye speaking only in spanish to the employee that came in at 6:30, which caused a glare from him to me and he said a few things in spanish and glared at the new hire behind her back and shook his head at her. On the bright side, I got an opportunity to show my son first hand racism and segregation/tribalism. I pointed it out to my son, from the bad service, poor attitude to the continuing of the poor everything as other employees came into play. There are scattered tables at which to sit with your ice cream, and the staff was uniformly pleasant. Although I have friends who swear by the Chocolate Mint flavor, I can never resist one scoop of Pralines 'n' Cream on a sugar cone. It never disappoints. read more

I've been so excited for this place to open. Got my cappuccino blast craving fulfilled yesterday and it was just as good as when I was in high school. I also tried my friends tropical banana smoothie but I would suggest sticking to the ice cream menu items for obvious reasons. They have premade ice cream cakes of various sizes. The employees are so sweet and really into it. They all seem really young though and are probably getting their first glimpse of what it's like serving the general public. I wish them all luck lol. At one point he seemed a bit confused and confirmed one of my items. Upon walking out of the store, I noticed that he had given me the wrong flavor with one of my double scoop orders. The incorrect flavor was at the bottom, so was not immediately noticeable. I walked back in to point out the error. He acknowledged that he made the mistake, but informed me that if I wanted the correct flavor I would need to pay for it since I walked out of the store.
