So I'm not one to get upset with bad service, unless I've gotten really bad service or consistently gotten bad service. I am not sure why but everyone except for ONE person that works at this jamba juice is rude. I work at UCSF and go to Jamba juice at least once a week. I love their menu and all their options. I have been going to jamba juice for years and never have I ever been to one with so many grumpy people, not just in the morning but at all times of day; lunch and dinner too. There is one exception to this though, George, i think he is new because he is actually quite nice and helpful when it comes to customers. All the other employees, especially the girls are rude and don't look like they want to be there, which they probably don't. But it just makes me in a bad mood to see other people in a bad mood. Their food and drinks, just like any other Jamba juice, large selection with all sorts of variations that you could make. However, every time I seem to get something from them, hoping that this time will be better than the next, their blended drinks are always not blended all the way with at least a 1/4 of the cup filled with frozen fruit chunks. I got a acii bowl this morning and it was more like blended juice with yogurt and fruit mush with fruit on top. It was not blended nearly as much as it was supposed to be and the bowl was only filled about half way! I've never been into a Jamba Juice before so I can't compare this one with others. I will say that I was thrilled to have the option to have unadorned, juiced vegetables - carrots, specifically. The person who helped me was full of smiles and very efficient. The carrot juice was delicious and exactly what I wanted. Who could ask for more? I don't know the nutritional value of the smoothies, though I believe the information is readily available. I always shy away from smoothies because they tend to have a lot of 'stuff' in them besides healthy fruits and vegetables. Tried my pitaya bowl here since I always wanted to try one. It's basically a smoothie in a bowl topped off with fruits,granola,nuts and coconut shavings. It was just something super refreshing to have since it was cold and ice cream like. The color of the bowl is super pretty, way more vibrant than an acai bowl and tastes way better too. If you haven't tried a pitaya bowl yet, I suggest you try one from here because the servings are pretty big. They have two sizes of 16oz & 24oz which I got the bigger one since I thought it might be tiny. When I first got it, it looked small to me till I started eating. This Jamba Juice seem to always be out of something. And the worst part about it is that they won't always tell you before you pay for whatever it is you ordered! I've been here a few times and honestly if I had a choice I would not come here again. There are maybe two workers that will smile when they talk to you but the other workers are rude and of no help. I use to work at Jamba Juice and the goal is to make the drink in 3 minutes or less. Let me tell you, you'll be lucky to get your drink in 5 if you come here. They either struggle to make the drink, they move slow or they're so deep into their conversations with one another they forget what they're doing. And these are on slow days. I don't bother to come on busy days. And although they do guarantee to make your drink to your satisfaction, they always mess up something but by the time I get my order, I gotta get back to work so there's no fixing anything. Wanted to order a Chocolate Moo'd but they were out of the Chocolate base, so I order the Strawberry Bowl instead. Jose comes in and starts to assist George. Now I had placed my order about 10 minutes ago and everyone ahead of me is gone and those behind me are now getting there orders. I am trying to be patient as I also work in Customer Service at UCSF and I know how it can be during a rush. I peak my head over a couple times to see if anyone is working on my order. Nad. Finally, Jose asks what I ordered and they proceed to find my order slip, which they found. George is rushing to make my order now and Jose asks what he can do to remedy the situation. I just gave a small shrug and turned down the free drink offer. I was in a hurry at this point and didn't want to wait for something else. They tried to rectify the situation by offering a free drink, but I really didn't want to take another persons spot, or have to wait around. Every time I come here, the hours are wrong, they are closed, they are out of bananas, or oranges, or the juicer is broken. I'm not a big fan of Jamba Juices prices constantly rising but I admit their smoothies are delicious. Mango a Go Go, Strawberries Wild and that lemonade one (yes its my favorite yet the name slips my mind) are perfect to quench my thirst. I am extremely picky about how my Mango a Go Go is made and I must say this Jamba Juice makes it right. Many of the other locations skimp on the mango and tastes watery and bland. This Jamba Juice is a hit-or-miss. It's great that there's a Jamba on campus in such a convenient location.. It reminds me of UCSD Price Center (the glory days..). I ordered their Heavenly Green Tea twice. First time, it tasted the way it should be, meaning it still had a taste of green tea. A week later, I got it again, and it tasted blandly of steamed 2% milk. Did they not blend enough green tea powder in it? My friend went not too long ago and the worker spent 2 minutes looking up the ingredients and how to make the drink. They also left a chunk of fruit on the bottom for her to spoon out. I'm here from out of town and I get Jamba Juice multiple times a week from my area and any area I can. I was super excited to see that there was a Jamba Juice right across the street from UCSF where I am staying with my husband because he had surgery. I replace meals during my day with a Jamba. This store has to be the shittiest one I've ever been to and if I could give this a zero rating I would. Let me start with day 1. Day1: super excited because I love Jamba. Go into the store and it's a little small but I guess that should make it easier to keep clean. Well apparently not for these kids, because the store was a mess from dishes that needed to be washed to the counters needing to be wiped down, the fridge area needing straightening up, sweeping and mopping and that's just some of the things I noticed. I was hungry so I sorta overlooked it hoping to just get my Jamba and be happy. The cashier was super rude, I brought my tumblr in and its policy to give a 10% discount for bringing in your tumblr, well she told me because I used my reward points that she wouldn't give me my discount; I've never experienced or had a problem with this with any other store EVER!! So, whatever I have the money to pay for my shit anyway so I did. I ordered a Kale-breeze and I added some boosters and some whey protein. Like I said this store is small so it's very easy to see what they put in the blender before blending it. Side note: absolutely any other store I've ever been to will wash out your tumbler if you ask, I always do because I'm OCD like that; well they barely squirted any water on my tumblr at all and didn't even run it through any soap, like all other locations I've ever been to). I watched them put everything into the blender, they absolutely did not put any of my boosters or my protein in my smoothie. I was pretty upset but didn't want to make a big deal about it, I just wanted my shit so I could get back to UCSF to my Husband. Both the females that were working must have been on their rags or something because they both had attitudes, or maybe they didn't like each other. I don't know but I'm not comfortable with people that have attitudes making my food, thankfully I was able to watch them make it and they didn't do anything stupid to my shit. Day 2: I seen the same females working so I skipped the day, didn't even want to deal with their bad vibes. Day 3: (I didn't even want to ask today about cleaning my tumblr so I washed it before going this day) Seen someone else working this day so I was hoping for a better experience..... this day was a young dude. Again the store needed attention that it wasn't getting. I'm not even sure what he was doing when I walked in but it wasn't cleaning up. Again I ordered my Jamba, about 90% of the time I order a kale-breeze, it's my favorite and it's so refreshing. This is exactly what I ordered again with my boosters and protein. Watched dude as he made my smoothie (I was the only customer at this time). He absolutely did not put any of my boosters or protein in my smoothie. He started to pour my smoothie into my tumblr and I said "did you happen to put my protein in there?" He looked at me like a kid that got caught doing something their not supposed to and said "oh, sorry I forgot" dumped my smoothie back into the blender and put all my stuff in it blended it up (on a low setting, so the mangos did not blend well) poured it back into my tumblr and wasn't going to give me the rest that was in the blender, I had to ask for it. The dude was not in a good mood just like the previous employees. Absolutely every Jamba Juice I've ever been to the employees are upbeat, happy and helpful. This particular location was by far my worst experience ever with a Jamba Juice in anyway and every way. Whoever own this location needs to do some serious housecleaning from everything in the store to the employees. I am truly disappointed in this location not just because of the way it wasn't cleaned, not only because of the employees with the shitty vibes, not just because of them not making my my smoothies the way they are supposed to be; it is most definitely a combination of everything and on top of everything else none of the smoothies that I've gotten from this location was blended how it should be, they were all super chunky but on top of everything else they were all watery. I honestly feel sorry for all the customers that visit this location because they are not getting the Jamba experience that they deserve and the smoothies are not up to par like any other location I've ever been to; so all customers that visit this location are definitely missing out in so many ways and they probably don't even realize it. I absolutely Love Jamba Juice and this will not stop me from going back but it will stop me from going to this pathetic location again until it's overhauled. read more
