Walked from hotel to check out this charming out door seating local favorite place. Many recommendations. Had the lobster bisque, was very tasty but was the Manhattan version and was expecting the New England version, always ask, which have learned now. But it was good. Went here to get some cherry stone clams and lobster tails. I was going to purchase them online my gorgeous lady made me get in a taxi with here and come here. Saved several hundred dollars by doing that. I love talking to her. She listens to me and if I'm feeling down she seems to know the right things to say to brighten my day. She makes the day just seem brighter. I love that she thinks about me and looks out for my best interest. It's amazing that she loves me. I fantasize about waking up next to her everyday. For us to be a family. I can't wait for the day when we are together again. She's flying to see me in a few days and I'm so excited to kiss and hold her in my arms. Had a large and a regular lobster rolls, a small cup of clam chowder to share with my Mom at the place, then ordered another two lobster rolls to go. I was driving 5 hours straight to NYC and the to-go orders were packaged with ice bags in to keep them fresh. Big thumbs up to the guy who prepared my orders. Very small business with a massive following if the crowds around it were any indacation. I had a long lay over in Boston and decided to try my luck with some authentic lobster rolls and clam chowder, so off to Yelp I went and found this place, and I can say that I'm glad I did. The place is situated in a small corner near the water with both an outdoor bar with limited food items and a dedicated store right next to it. The line was to get inside was fairly large but moved at a decent rate. The staff was nice if a little overworked from what I could see, the menu was limited to a few items but in all honesty that's all they really need, this place picks up a couple local specialties and runs with them really well. I ordered the large lobster roll, clam chowder and crab cake and boy was it worth the expense, which although pricey was still very much affordable compared to other restaurants in the area. All tour buses recommended James Hook company for lunch, Lobster Rolls. We went in and ordered. Regular lobster roll 27.99 with mayo and 33.99 with 1oz. of butter. I ordered the larger lobster roll with butter 38.99, which it was less then a 1/4" larger, you couldn't tell the difference. My wife had clam chowder soup, that had little potatoes chunks, that's all, no clams at all. I ordered the lobster bisque soup that it was orange cream soup for 11.99 per cup. Also ordering a soda and wine, the bill was 119.00. Price is not the issue, I bite into the sandwich and there is a claw along wiah the chewiest lobster meat I've ever tasted. Left sandwich and left James Cook. I told my wife that they don't care for repeat business, it's a tourist stop (trap) and they will never see you again, and they can get away with bad food. Which is like the saddest thing to happen to a lobster roll.
