I went to customer service this morning and a nice short lady named Dolly, was very helpful. We brought in a plant that had a price on it, my cousin Purchase it on her credit card but didn't showed up on her card. So I asked Dolly if we can get store credit or cash? We didn't have a receipt. The plant was 25.00 +. So Ms. Dolly was nice enough to give us a 10.00 gift card. Well I spend 60.00 there today. This store is always crowded however they a huge selection of tools and a big plant nursery, I wasn't impressed with their kitchen and bath inventory, definitely lacking in that department. Parking lot is insanely crowded so be prepared for that. read more

I've been going to Fairmont for quite some time and there is definitely a time and a place that Fairmont location is better for pro purchases, however this location has become my favorite, for returns, for help and for the crowd that shops there. Shoutout to Paul, David and Jose from the pro lot who helped me on Black Friday, the worst possible day to need to go to Home Depot. Thank you guys! Seriously, I don't know what they're serving in the break room to keep these folks motivated and friendly, but it's working. I recently had the pleasure of working with people in the appliance department and the door department. Both were fantastic and patient with my inability to decide on what I was buying. For the appliances specifically, the nice man (can't remember his name) spent about an hour with me as we scrapped together Black Friday deals to get me a handful of appliances at a very good price. An ok Home Depot location, with all the employees super extra friendly and helpful, always asking if you needed assistance with something. Bathroom is clean. Prices expensive, I don't remember spending over $30 to make copies for keys before. Parking lot is a bit chaotic with different cars driving multiple directions, as always some group of people standing around waiting to see if the customers would hire them for extra labor, I never seen that many people until today at this location read more

Home Depot LG I wanted to share my shopping experience at Home Depot at the Lemon Grove, Ca. Today was the most terrifying experience in HD that I have experienced. I was there to make a purchase of Rain-X bug window cleaner. The first team member that approached me and asked how he could help me then directed me to aisle 17 or 18 In automotive. I wasn't able to locate the Rain-X so I stopped another TM, he told me on the left side at the bottom. As I was looking at the self it was empty. With much aggravation I did check your website for Lemon Grove it was saying that there was 97 available. I stop another TM and her name was Kay. She used her phone (scanner)and was able to verify that it was in stock. As she was trying to help me she was coughing in my face the whole time and never covering her mouth or apologizing. I found this completely rude and unprofessional. As I followed her to the front of the store from almost the garden department and all the way to contract desk. All she did was cough in my face and stopped to help two other customers instead of assisting me to figure out where my product was. I was so confused and frustrated after about 15 minutes, I just turned around and walked away with out making any purchases. If I would've been at Santee location. My go to store, I would've had TM walk me to the product and show me exactly on the shelf where it was. In closing this was not the first time experiencing a lack of customer service. I will never be go back to the lemon Grove location again. I will drive the additional miles to go to my favorite located in Santee. They know how to treat their customers right. The other night, Estevan Mancia, working in the lumber department of the Lemon Grove store went out of his way to help me. The circular saw at Lemon Grove has been down apparently for two months. This is very unfortunate for everyone! So Estevan took the time to cut a long piece of wood that I needed into six separate parts with the hand saw! He was busy doing his own project, but didn't think twice about helping me out. Got a chance to chat with him while he was using the handsaw. Tried to order several pieces of home office furniture. Found exactly what I wanted but each had a different delivery date. One of the dates was a day that I was not available to receive the delivery. Called the store directly. Was told the dates could not be changed and was referred to the on-line help desk. Called there and was again told nothing could be done to change the dates, even if I was not there to receive it. Also wanted the items assembled and was willing to pay for that service. Assembly was almost the same amount as the item itself! I have always found what I need at Home Depot. But this is a terrible business model. Such a let down! read more

All locations (not just this one) require veterans to download an app, upload thier information in order to qualify for the 10% discount that Home Depot is so glad to speak about. Never mind that most of us have ID that can get us into a military base and should be as secure as it gets. I agreed. It's not the stores fault. Over the weekend I purchased a product that I found in the store. I didn't search on line for it. I pulled out the phone, and used the app for the discount. A few days later I get an email saying "Hey what did you think of the (item) you bought?" Yep. Home Depot is using the app to track our purchases. Not to ensure we're veterans, To track our purchases, as a specific group, targeting us. Never mind that we get the same discount as "pros" - who by the way get preferred parking. Do I want 10%? Sure. Do I have a right to it? No. But, I have a right not be treated as a targeted demographic that they'll use for advertising, and then exploit my information in a way that others would not be subject to. You got this one wrong Home Depot. Your teams in store are great. Your business practices are wrong. read more
