Delicious cookies and scones. Tempting pies. Seating is mostly outside or to go. Relaxing atmosphere with lots of to go customers. Conveniently located next to Sierra Foothill Conservancy.

Eclair, key lime and pecan pie!

Jantz! While visiting Mariposa we stumbled across this cute little bakery, we grabbed a few things for our picnic and everything was incredible! Especially the Pecan pie, key lime and eclair :) The woman who helped us, Lucy, was very sweet and also made us a delicious sandwich. Yumm!

Found this place on yelp as we were staying at autocamp. It's located off the main road. Street parking right in front. We had no issues parking but I wonder if there's a parking lot in the back or something. It's located in a building with several other businesses. It's very small inside. There was one table of seating for two inside. The rest was out in the patio area. In addition to pastries, they have pies, sandwiches, salads and drinks. Ordered - kolachy (season and berry?) - Cinnabon (w butter cream & cream cheese on the side) - turnovers (strawberry & blueberry I think) - cake pops (chocolate) - cheesecake (blueberry) - chicken salad sandwich w/ potato salad. Came with pickles and a peppermint candy - meat sandwich alone Everything taste great. The Cinnabon was freshly made and soft. Glad I got 2 cos he ate them both. I wanted to try the kolachy cos I don't think I have before- it tasted like a fruit streudel to me with very dense dough. The turnovers were ok. Cheesecake was really good. I got the chicken salad sandwich as the worker said it's most popular and my husband got the meat as she said that was her fave. My husband and I agreed the chicken salad sandwich tasted better. Potato salad was good. great portions. Definitely recommend this place. FYI doesn't look like there's a bathroom inside but we didn't need to use one.

Last time I came through town, I got a box of different baked goods here and they were excellent. So much, that I had to come back. However, this time I tried a slice of their apricot pie and it was terrible. Something about the crust is completely wrong. I noticed what looked like to be a moldy spot on the crust and pointed it out to the cashier. She said that it Was not mold but it had something to do with how they packaged/transported the pie. I took her word and brought it back to our hotel. Needless to say, I had to throw the pie out. In thinking about it, what the cashier should've done was offered to replace it with something else :( The eclair that my son had however was still awesome.

After having brunch at Sugar Pine, my SO and I were craving something sweet! One of the workers had recommended Jantz Bakery for the Kolachy's-- so we decided to give it a try! PARKING: Fairly easy with lots of parking in the back. STORE: Yes! There's tons of pastries and pies to choose from.. but as delicious as they all sound, Jantz Bakery, DOES NOT ADHERE TO THE COVID-19 SAFETY MEASUREMENTS AND PROTOCOLS. - None of the staff members were wearing masks or gloves ( did not care if customers wore their masks or not ) - Did not care about limiting the amount of people inside The store itself was clean but it was alarming to see the store being careless of the safety of its employees and customers. With Mariposa's population, I'm sure their cases aren't as bad as other places... but we are still in a pandemic. WHAT WE ORDERED: - Strawberry Kolachy: our fave one out of the two! - Berry Kolachy: to us this one seemed really bland. Least favorite! ** Because these delicate treats can be finished in two bites, I'd recommend you buying more than 2! Be warned, these can be highly addicting! Overall, I would recommend you to come for the Strawberry Kolachy's. I would like to try their pies in the future... most definitely after this pandemic since they are NOT COVID FRIENDLY.

Sticks Coffee, Mariposa: 2026 May 19 (5 of 5)…read more Tucked behind tall shrubs along a short alleyway is a secret door to a little coffee shop. My observations alerted me to a communal yet cozy setting, with shared table and comfortable benches. This establishment feels magical to me. The floor is clean and the wooden tables and benches are inviting. I noticed that they have regular customers, as one after another, the customers were greeted by name with hugs and big smiles. Savanna (sic) greeted me and took my orders: small latte & ricotta + egg toast. My Ricotta + egg toast was delicious and the presentation was nicely done. The ingredients looked simple and the herbs tasted fresh and clean. The dish was perfectly seasoned. I tasted a little 'heat' at the back of my throat, but that's something I can handle. I even enjoyed the green sauce over the top. LOL! My order of latte was smooth and creamy. No sugar needed here. The creamy milk did its job. Savanna made my coffee after taking the order, and I complimented her on the delicious coffee. Would I go back? You betcha! And I'll bring my friends. Note: There's seating outdoors as well for those who bring their four-legged family members

For lunch, we ordered the Lox Toast and Za'atar Chicken Sandwich. I got a lightly dressed side salad added for $3. The Lox Toast was yummy. I was just a bit disappointed at the side salad. I don't think it was worth the $3 for a tiny box. The chicken sandwich was good and included chips. Not a bad place to stop by on the way to Yosemite.

Right now Falaf-a-lot is on site and was excellent. We had a salad plate- 4 different salads with a pita and choice of protein (including falafel, chicken, lamb), fries were crispy with homemade ketchup on the side. And a lamb meatball pita with chips. Tasty! Beer was all good. No flights which I prefer, but good selection.

They have limited hours so make sure you plan for it, and they also host events throughout the week which means live music isn't always available. The ordering process is straightforward - you place your order at the front inside and then pick it up with a buzzer outside, which works perfectly for enjoying the outdoor setting. 5/5 Tomato Soup with Half Grilled Cheese was so hearty and exactly what you need after a long drive or before heading into the mountains. The soup was the best I have had in a while, with rich tomato flavor that was perfectly seasoned and had just the right consistency. The grilled cheese was nothing too special on its own, but it paired so well with the soup, especially to warm you up in the cold. The combination is classic comfort food executed beautifully, and you really can't go wrong with this order. The Grove House is absolutely worth planning your Yosemite trip around! It's the perfect stop to fuel up before heading into the park or to unwind after a day of hiking. The combination of good food, welcoming atmosphere, and that small-town charm makes it a must-visit when you're in Mariposa. I would definitely recommend trying this place out - it seems like one of the best restaurants in the area on the way to Yosemite. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and hoping to catch one of their live music nights!

The cashier who helped me was very friendly and nice, he got me the fries&drink combo even though I didn't know about it and ordered them separately. The sandwiches were perfect portion and the Dutch crunch had that perfect crunch but softness at the same time. The homestyle lemonade was just the cherry on top, refreshing and not overly sweet. I don't often get included in the order at sandwich' shops, so I just said, "Anything gluten free, if they have it," Unbeknownst to me, a very fresh and big lettuce wrapped "Turkey Avocado Sprouts Swiss" with "The Works" (condiments). I was blown away, it was delicious. I waited to review until I went a few more than a few times, just incase that wrap was a fluke. Nope! I haven't gotten sick there yet and I appreciate that a lot. Itzel makes the best wraps, I believe I can tell the difference if she's making them. Perfectly stuffed, tightly wrapped (because if not they are super hard to eat), and cut in half. Thanks girl! Thank you for always being on time for my pick up order (which is super easy to place by the way) and thank you for the great food. It's obvious you're a hard worker and care about your job. That's rare these days. I've never been to any other Deli Delicious besides this one, but I can't see how they would top this one. Thanks again! I might do a wrap photo shoot and add some pictures a little later.

Found this diamond in the rough from Merced to Oakhurst. Passing through Mariposa for business…read morerelated purposes, decided to stop to see what they had to offer and saw this bbq spot. I am very big into bbq and if i see a spot, my tastebuds and appetite get curious. IMO, there is not a lot great bbq, living in the south for some years, i have had my fair share. This place is a great mention for bbq. From flavor to tenderness. I had the ribs, tri-tip and brisket. The tri-tip and brisket was tender and had good pepper flavor but not over powering. The ribs, amazing flavor with just a bit of a snap. Sides: coleslaw and beans. The beans were delicious. The coleslaw, well it's different but good. To each their own and this place was fantastic to me. This would be my go to for bbq if i lived in the area.

After ordering, it was a little difficult to find seating because the indoor space is limited when the patio isn't available. Luckily, a table opened up just before our food was ready. We didn't wait for the staff to clean the table because we weren't sure it wouldn't be snatched by others. That said, the food was very good, which is why I still gave it a few stars. Overall, the limited seating and the cleanliness during our visit affected the experience a bit, but the food was fine if you're hungry.

I don't usually post things like this, but I feel like I need to share my experience…read more I've been a regular customer at this coffee shop for months. I used to go almost every day, I've supported them consistently, bought drinks and beans there regularly, and it was part of my daily routine during a really difficult time in my life. My usual drink isn't available on their online ordering system, so I've always called ahead to place my order. That has never been an issue before. They knew my order so well that they referred to it as "the Amy Special," and there were times my drink was prepared ahead of time for me to pick up when I arrived. Today I called to place my usual order. I was told the person on the phone was the owner, and I was told they had been discussing my drink and that it was "very unusual," and that I would need to come in to order instead. I asked for clarification because I've always ordered the same way for months. I was told again that I would need to come in, and that my drink was too complicated to order over the phone. I explained that I've been ordering this drink the same way for a long time and that I've always been able to call it in before. After I said I was going through a hard time and wasn't really up for coming in, the call ended. When I called back, the phone was hung up on multiple times before I was able to briefly speak with someone again. When I did finally speak with someone I recognized, my reaction was emotional because I was confused and hurt by what was happening, and the interaction didn't feel like the experience I had come to expect from them. What I'm upset about is not that a business can change how they operate. What I'm upset about is that there was no clear communication that a policy had changed, and no explanation that made sense of why something that had been routine for months was suddenly not allowed. I'm sharing this because I genuinely thought I had a good relationship with this place as a customer, and today's experience didn't reflect that. This was a place I supported daily for a long time, and it became part of my routine during a period of my life when it genuinely mattered more than people probably realize. That's why today's experience felt so disappointing and hard to process.
