I really appreciate that there is validated, free, parking here :) as LA can be a bit tricky…read moresometimes with parking. The validation is also easy and quick to do. It is a scan on a small machine at the front entrance of the store. The workers are also friendly and attentive to help direct you on how and where to validate. I called the store to check if the coffee bar was open, and it was! If you're coming in for just the beverages, I recommend calling the store because the coffee bar can be closed randomly and quite frequently. Despite this, the drinks from the coffee bar are so delicious and affordable. I got a small berry chantilly matcha with oat milk, which was only $5.25!! What a steal in this economy. Just this time, the drink made a bit too sweet for my liking, but delicious nonetheless.

It's nice knowing that there's a legitimate great grocery store nearby. On Tuesdays, rotisseries chickens are 2 bucks off, and that's enough to feed me for another day or so. They have a Friday deal on whole pizzas as well and I routinely see sports on in the bar they have as well. For Valentine's day, they'll always have deals on roses and usually, on any holiday, the store will be decked out in bunnies and eggs for easter or green and what not for St Patty's Day. Honestly, the best thing to happen to Culver City East!

I LOVE GROCERY STORES AND RAINBOW ACRES IS THE BEST ONE I'VE EVER BEEN TO!!! I absolutely love…read moreexploring grocery stores; each and every one is unique, has different deals, a different aesthetic, and select food. I like to walk around in them for fun all the time. So... take my review seriously!!! I tried almost all their food and can give a detailed rundown on each one. They have amazing, amazing, amazing food made with love here and employees that are incredibly kind and funny. They're welcoming and you can tell they really enjoy working at Rainbow Acres and want to spread good vibes. Their food is made in house, from scratch, exactly what it is. No food dyes or processing. Just fresh, straightforward food for a good price. RAINBOW ACRES MADE ME SHED A TEAR. I was so incredibly ecstatic to find an healthy, grocery CO-OP near me. The smoothies are great, they sometimes have samples. They're all delicious and they also can be paid with EBT. Their guac and chips was actually the best I've ever had from a grocery store. The guacamole had enough salt and lime, like... whole foods and chipotle guac was PUT TO SHAME. Well-seasoned, super chunky, cilantro, red onion, tomato, mmm, and those chips were actually fresh tortilla chips. So crunchy and light. So yum. God. Their sandwich was insane. Slices and heaps of chicken breast for double the price of a sprouts sandwich and quadruple times more tasty. Don't second guess it, just get it!!! BBQ chicken and ranch salad was insane. I ate it in like 10 mins and my stomach was bulging. When you see it, it will be irresistible. The grilled chicken is marinated and covered in a sweet bbq sauce and their housemade ranch is seasoned deeply, comparable to wingstop's ranch. Crunchy lil tortilla chips and crunchy salad with some roasted corn. Every single thing in that plate had its own flavor, unlike the prepackaged slop at other stores. However, it was close to $20... The fruit tart was FRESH and yummy, a tad sweet, but all the fruit was incredibly quality. The crust left a little to be desired, but great nonetheless. Their hot deli food is great too. We got a parm crusted chicken breast and it was very juicy and flavorful. The samples were great, even their curry is packed with flavor. Their turkey chili was insanely hearty and delicious, thankfully not too salty. chili mango is the best my boyfriend claims he's ever had. immense selection of unique canned and bottled drinks. They make their own green smoothies and juices in glass bottles, but there's also local branded magnesium teas, adaptogens, sparkling waters, etc. LOTS AND LOTS of vegan options. Great selection of teas and medicinal herbs and pure oils meant for the skin. I picked up some grapeseed oil and snacks. Some of the prices here are cheaper than whole foods, but some are more expensive. I really love Rainbow Acres, but some of their prices can be expensive. However, when factoring in the quality, freshness, and how the food is SIMPLE AND CLEAN AND HOPEFULLY AS ETHICAL AS IT CAN BE, it justifies the prices. The employees are always helpful, so it does help to imagine that the higher prices go to them as well. I'm really happy that this place exists. It's not pretentious and makes clean eating accessible for anyone.

I'm really disappointed writing this because I've been a regular here for a long time. I live down…read morethe street and walk to Rainbow Acres almost every day to get the same thing, Chinese chicken salad plus whatever else I need. It's been part of my routine, and I've always trusted the quality. Unfortunately, my last visit completely changed that. I found a dead fly in my salad, which was honestly so disgusting and upsetting. It's hard to overlook something like that, especially from a place I come to so often and rely on. What made the experience even more frustrating is that I reached out through the online contact/question form and never heard back from anyone. A response or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. Because of this experience, I don't feel comfortable coming back. It's really disappointing, but finding something like that in my food is something I just can't get past.

I ended up at Lassens Natural Foods & Vitamins' Mid-Wilshire location as a parking hack for an event I was attending across the street at All Season Brewing. I made a couple of passes on the local streets with no luck, so I entered into their inviting large parking structure that they apparently shared with other businesses, and went inside to scope out the joint, and out of some guilt, made any kind of purchase as a sort of payment for parking. Would this odd experience leave any sort of lasting impression on me!? PURCHASE Larabar - Various Flavors ($1.29 x5): Among the five flavors I purchased (e.g. Cashew Cookie, Banana Bread, Pecan Pie, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Cocoa Coconut Chew), my favorite was the pecan pie and how it truly represented this Thanksgiving dessert but in a handy packable bar form. I actually enjoyed all of them and this brand as a whole. If you knew me, I always had some kind of granola or nutrition bar on me as a quick snack option or substitute while I was on the go. Each bar filled me up like those Snickers commercials and normally held me over until my next full meal! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=9IpWA5iKRMcDT1xMuGCIkg SERVICE I casually roamed throughout the store as I went down each aisle as if I were casing the joint without anyone asking whether or not I needed any help (which was fine). I finally found something that wouldn't cost me too much and knew I liked it, so I scored. The young man at the checkout counter was chill, rang my items up, and when I asked him about parking validation, he easily handled that for me - thank you! PARKING (Varied; FREE this instance) I believed they shared a parking structure with other businesses in this complex and validated your parking if you shopped with them. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of parking along the main drags of La Brea Ave. and 8th St., respectively, and all surrounding side streets, if you were lucky enough to find an open spot. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE This was a smallish grocery store with every inch seemingly maximized. The aisles were a bit snug, while they appeared to have a decent deli and prepared section. There was only one checkout area, so this truly felt like a local neighborhood version of their much larger stores such as the one I've shopped at before in Echo Park. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large surrounding windows while many electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. I couldn't recall any TVs nor any background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL For the ultimate reason that brought me to Mid-Wilshire's Lassens Natural Foods & Vitamins location, I gave it two thumbs up! And, for the items I settled on purchasing, another kudos. However, this place wasn't exactly for me nor was this particular location. For all of the health food nuts, I'm sure this was perfect for them; however, the closest I got to this would be Trader Joe's and maybe an extremely rare trip to a Whole Foods. The product mix again appeared to be limited due to the size of this store, the prices were a tad high based upon my standards, and the service was straightforward which I was fine with. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $8.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS
