I've recently had a problem with my Wolf stove purchased from Jarvis (along with a number of other high-end appliances) in a kitchen remodel 15 years ago. It now needs service, and I sent an email over the weekend, got a response that they were scheduling a couple of weeks out, I responded that yes I would be very interested in an appointment. Update - in the two days since my previous post, Jarvis management has been in touch with me to apologize for their mistake , and rectified the situation by re arranging a delivery/installation within 24 hours . I appreciate their taking responsibility for their error and fast work to correct it. Now- this is exactly the sort of service I expected in going to a family owned business! Thank you . When my gas dryer died during Covid, I did some online comparison shopping and selected Jarvis based on reviews and the desire to patronize an independent dealer rather than a big box store during the economic downturn . I went into the showroom and was helped by a salesperson on August 28 - he was very helpful and let me know that he could get me a model that they had In stock with delivery and installation on September 2 if I purchased right then, prior to the start of the tax free weekend as inventory could not be guaranteed then. I understood - and made the $999 purchase . The salesperson let me know if for some reason my dryer was not in stock , I would be called within 24 hours . No call came so I assumed my delivery was on as scheduled . No delivery call came and I phoned the store on September 2 to inquire and was told that delivery was underway... after my 4th call (I called every two hours between 830 and 2pm), I was told that my model was not in stock at all and delivery was probably not until September 10! Had I not incessantly phoned , no one would have reached out to me to tell me this despite promising me otherwise . I made a purchase, gladly paid the premium but was misled that my order was In stock and was not notified . Ever . This is very Unprofessional . In my experience the customer has always come first, and they have really catered to our needs. Update: The manager followed up with us (we had left a message asking for them to call). He was responsive and worked hard to make things right. They were able to expedite the delivery and compensate us for our trouble. They continued to follow up until everything was solved. We appreciate their response. Unfortunately we have had continued struggles with Jarvis. We bought all of our appliances with them for a new house less than five years ago. We took their advice in brand. Now three of our appliances have broken. We trusted Jarvis would make it right and used them for service. It took three months of delayed parts, faulty parts, and wrong work, and many days off of work for us before anything was fixed. With no effort from Jarvis to compensate us or make it right. After our dishwasher broke and we were told it would be cheaper to buy a new one we made the Mistake of going back to Jarvis for purchase hoping they would help us out with price since we had already spent so much money with them. Well they were able to come down on price 50 dollars but again it was full of missteps. We expressed the need for the dishwasher to be delivered quickly. The first salesman told us he would call with a price on Wednesday. On Wednesday night we received an email saying he didn't get to his manager and would call us Saturday! So we called the store back to work with someone else. He got us all set for a Tuesday delivery. Monday at 6 pm he called to tell us the dishwasher was damaged and could not be relievers as expected. So now we are stuck changing work schedules again and still no attempt from them to make it right. Embarrassed that I had recommended them to friends many times before we experienced this. Terrible experience with these people...spent well over $2000 on a new high end washer and dryer and have had one problem after another with both...dryer currently not working and cannot get Jarvis out to honor the warranty...utterly unhelpful and completely unresponsive. Called up and spoke with Sarah about an issue I was having with a 4 year old Electrolux Dryer that had seized. Did not purchase it from Jarvis, but was desperate to find parts from a local retailer, so we could get it up and running again. Not having a clothes dryer with active kids isn't fun for working parents. I expected my interaction with Jarvis service would be "we can set up an appointment for a tech to come out". "We dont sell parts to homeowners" or "sounds like you need a new dryer". What I got was respect and help. Sarah was incredibly pleasant. Based on internet research I believed the drum rollers were at fault. But this was just a guess based on the symptom. The same dryer broke down 6 months earlier and had the majority of parts replaced, including motor, blower, heater and belt (by the original retailer we purchased it from). The rollers were pretty much the only parts that weren't replaced and I didn't order parts via the internet in case I got the root cause wrong and needed to return them. Sarah assured me that I could return the parts for a refund, so I order what I thought I needed. Sarah also consulted with her service manager Dave, who offered to diagnose the problem if I sent him a video. Upon reviewing my video, Dave suggested I check the blower fan. He didnt think the problem was caused by any of the five drum rollers. Could it be that easy? Yes, it was. I'm still not sure how the fan got stuck, but a stern push on the fins was all it took to dislodge it. I disassembled and cleaned the fan assembly and reassembled the now operational dryer. I'm happy my spouse is happy and I will go to Jarvis next time I need a new appliance. This sort of customer service is extremely rare. Often "customer service" is all about selling you warranties and scaring you with repair costs or trying to get you to buy new. Not to say that Jarvis isn't in the business of making money or selling product. But the respect and support I received from Sarah and Dave sold me on Jarvis, the company, so next time someone asks me where to go to for home appliances they'll be the first place I recommend without reservation. I am incredibly disappointed with how everything was handled here. I never write reviews but my experience was so bad that I just had to. About a month ago my glass stove top cracked and I needed a new stove. Went to home depot but the sales guy pretty much pushed me aside so I decided to go to a small local shop, Jarvis Appliances, where I figured I would pay more but customer service would be top priority. I walked in and was greeted by a sales guy. I showed him the dimensions of the cutout I had in the countertop and he showed me the stove that would fit. I went home to double check and confirmed that the stove would fit. A few days later I called to place the order, although it was a different sales rep that I was talking to. He assured that the stove was in the warehouse and would be delivered to the store the next day. Next day came so I called but it hadn't arrived. The day after came and I called but still no stove. They assured me that they would call me when it arrived so I decided to wait to see if they would call me. A week went by and no phone call so I stopped by after work to check on the status. They said the stove was in the back but when I signed the papers I noticed they had ordered the wrong size. I was a bit upset but I realize that people make mistakes. They then ordered the correct size and assured me it would be in within a few days. They even promised to get me the stove no matter what. I didn't call to check on the order because I wanted to see if they were going to follow through on their promise. Another week went by and I again stopped in after work and they told me the stove was in but when they went to look for it they couldnt find it anywhere. I was trying not to laugh, thats how pathetic it was. I asked for my money back, although it took about a week to see the funds transfer back. Funny how quickly they charged me... I ended up going to Yale down the street, upgraded my stove to induction, got it the next day and installed. BOOM! Thats the way customer service should be. Our bottom drawer freezer would not close today, and by 5:30pm it was obvious that we weren't going to be able to fix it ourselves. I called Jarvis Service and left a message for the following morning as service had closed for the day. Next thing I know, I get a call from Tim in service who said he stop by on his way home. He was here 10 minutes later and literally wrestled with the contraption. After 15 minutes, he was able to access a loose screw far in the back that was keeping the track system from working properly. He fixed it and did not bill us. Wow! It was impressive. Started with Kevin Doherty in sales and he helped guide me to a couple of incredible machines for washer and dryer. Then the delivery guys did an amazing job with my pain in the ass schedule and getting them to my house. They also got them in to my basement by having to basically crawl under my deck. I used this company when I was building my very first home in Natick! I found everyone in the company from sales, to the front desk so helpful and kind. I never knew that choosing appliances was not as easy as a two second decision like they show on HGTV. I had tried large stores such as Lowes etc. because I thought I would be able to find, "great," deals there. I could not find anyone that worked in those stores that specialized in appliances. When I am choosing a washer, dryer, stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator I dont want help from someone that is also a specialist in geraniums and doorknobs. A friend recommended Jarvis and I went there, and was thrilled/relieved with their service! They informed me on the best options for every appliance that I was looking for, and were able to deliver as soon as we were ready for install. After my contractor had installed all of the appliances(Jarvis does NOT install for new construction, this is why I find other reviews to be misleading about a new construction install) I dropped the glass plate to the micro wave. I called up Jarvis, and they remembered me! Asked me how the house was coming along, and within that week I had the new glass plate back in the microwave! I recommend this business to anyone who needs someone that actually knows what they are talking about, and that really truly does appreciate your business. I am a HUGE advocate for small/family business, and that is why I love businesses like this! There's no walking down five hundred aisles or pressing a call button for someone from the gardening section to come help you!! My husband is a contractor and we ordered an entire kitchen full of higher end appliances from Jarvis along with a washer and dryer - to the tune of over $25K - for a project in Wellesley. Now this clearly is not a lot of money to Jarvis based on their treatment of us, but it is to us. It took several calls, but we finally got Jarvis to set up a date for delivery and installation. As the date approached, Jarvis called my husband to say that they did not have someone to install on the date that had been promised. They then said that they had called and talked to his wife (me!) and that I must not have told him about the scheduling issue. Now mind you, they never called me and I was standing next to my husband on the job site when the rep from Jarvis called and LIED to cover his own sorry **s. We took delivery without installation and when the delivery arrived, the washer was not there and Jarvis sent a different dryer than what we ordered. The different dryer would not fit into the laundry room and the delivery team was less than pleased that they had to take it back (damaging stairs on their way out, thank you very much). We are still trying to resolve the washer/dryer issue. Jarvis is "looking into it" after several calls and we are not getting calls back. Continuing their stellar work and delivering customer service, clearly. I prefer to work with local companies, but in this case, we will never work with Jarvis again and will tell everyone we know not to do so as well. Over the past two years, I have had some appliance problems that required new parts. The parts didn't come in on time, so appointments were cancelled and rescheduled. When I called for a service call, I was told that because I had cancelled appointments in the past (due to their inability to get parts on time) perhaps they could service my appliance at the end of the next week. First, I resent being told that cancelled appointments were my fault (I work and only schedule appointments for times I was free). Second, I resent being spoken to in a condescending tone. I have spent thousands of dollars over the years at Jarvis, on both appliances and service calls. I was patient when an oven took 3 - 4 months to repair (over the holidays, too). This was the last straw. If you have ANY alternatives, use them before you try Jarvis. read more

I would like to give them less than one star. Took five months to get our oven fixed that we purchased from them. Started in mid-January... first delay no problem on our end... anything can get delayed... 2nd time... we were also ok, disappointed... but the 3rd and then the 4th time... then I went to Amazon... and lo-and-behold the part was there. Called another guy... still waiting for the Jarvis part, the other guy had the part in 2 days... The oven is working.... at least someone along the way should have said sorry a lot about the delay... The kicker is that the guy from Jarvis who had fixed the oven last time had stripped the screws which made the oven very hard to get apart... so the Jarvis folks charged for 2 hours instead of the 1 hour (they politely marked it out on the bill that it was supposed to take 1 hour but took 2 then claimed the screws were not stripped but didn't show them to me. Hmmm... They sell good stuff but boy are we not buying anything from them again as service is not particularly their strong point. Well, after the visit, we didn't use the oven for a couple of days and when we did the door hinge now makes a very loud clicking sound. Wonder if the repair folks broke or damaged a hinge while they were working on it. read more

Jarvis to the rescue- once again!!! Our entire vent fell out of our hood because the contractor cut the hole too big and then never secured it. This venting had been staying up on a wing and a prayer- unbeknownst to us! Well, it came crashing down the other afternoon. I heard a loud crash in the kitchen- so grateful I wasn't cooking when this happened! I didn't know who to call. I posted on a local site looking for help and Tim Dunn was the first to respond! He was even able to come over just a few short hours after I posted. Tim fixed the problem within 10 minutes. No charge- just wanted to help us out! Ordered a wine captain in a certain size which only Jarvis sold in the area. Not only did it take over 3 months to arrive, but Jarvis never would keep us posted on the delay. We would have to call about ever 2-3 weeks and check on it and there would be another excuse which wasn't totally their fault, but they never ever ever would let us know what was going on with our order. FYI when you walk into showroom no one budges from the desks either, you really have to approach the sales people to get any help. read more

I just purchased all of my appliances for my new kitchen and could not be happier with the service and the selection. The sales people were very helpful and knowledgeable about the products and I did not feel pushed towards the promotional items that may not have been the best fit for my needs. When my appliances were delivered there was an issue withthe microwave having been recalled from the manufacturer. Not only was the sales team excellent with helping to resolve the problem, but one of the guys dropped off the new microwave on his way home from work so that my construction could stay on schedule.
