Typical Chinese buffet food is decent and usually always hot. Service is ok depending on who you get also the buffet has a pretty good selection. I like the fact that the buffet rows aren't close together. So you have space to walk when other people are getting food. My problem with jasmine is when they seat you in the back and all you can smell is the, sewage coming from the bathroom. Which is disgusting if you're trying to enjoy your meal. I know they smell it they work there everyday yet haven't, done anything about it. My other issue is why have staff wear gloves if they are going to wear the same, ones their entire shift. I literally see them grab dirty dishes with the same gloves they serve drinks with. I watched my server the last time I went there clean walls chairs tables the leg of chairs probably even, her buff with same gloves. Then she proceeded to make a pitcher of sweet tea with same gloves. While using a plastic fork to stir it with her whole hand basically in the pitcher. My advice if you go don't drink the tea get a fountain drink. read more

This is our first time in the area in the head kids to bring along to this. Usually buffets are a hit with children under 10 so we brought them here. The lunch price for kids under 10 was $4.99 in the adults were $9.99. Certainly was affordable. The restaurant is very clean and spacious and well-lit but also nicely decorated. I can't say if this place is the best buffet as it's the first I've been to in Columbia. It's a solid buffet with the usual food fare but nothing really stands out as above average. Service was friendly, and interior looks updated. I visited on a weekday during lunch hours, and the $8.99 price tag was pretty reasonable with the variety of food offered (lots of fried things, sushi bar, dessert bar, ice cream, salad bar, fruit bar, basic Chinese entrees, etc). A good buffet finally in Columbia SC I can rely on. I've lived in California the last 7 years and they had so many buffets there. I love the seafood especially the deep fried crab legs, the octopus, mussels. All very delicious. You should try the honey croissants they are my favorite I could eat a 100 of them... If there are any spicy food lovers I highly recommend the Mongolian BBQ with shrimp, bean sprouts, zucchini, and onions (ask for extra extra spicy) if you want noodles or rice you can but I like mine without it. So they take all the ingredients and fry it on the grill. Definitely try this please! The service is great also I love all the ladies that work there very quick and sweet to talk too. Upon entering you can tell that the place is well taken care of. Clean and neat. We were seated instantly. As soon as we were seated we were asked what we want d to drink and then the buffet was on. All of the available items in the buffet lines looked fresh and hot. The lines were clean, neatly organized and labeled. I ate several of the items to include General Chou's chicken,Teriyaki chicken, Sweet and sour pork, Egg roll, And pork pot stickers. Everything that I ate was hot and fresh as well as tastes. This restaurant needs a visit by the healt inspector. Cooks without head cover(hair net), greasy and durty stoves. The hibashi cook pick bottles and a 5 gallon from the floor and continue cooking with out washing the hands and the same flat grill greasy and durty all around it. And much more details that will have this establisment to closed. I informed the server and manager who was at the reguister and I walk out and still had to pay for it. I must've passed this place 1 million times over the years, and just never gave it any thought. Until I was alone for Thanksgiving. While my family was 1000 miles away eating turkey, I was feasting on steak and shrimp and sushi, and many other delightful delicacies. I have seriously never been to a Chinese buffet that has crème brûlée, which actually happened to be delicious. I rarely give five stars. The service was attentive, it was surprisingly clean, it was comfortable, and everyone was polite and friendly. The food was fresh, and well-prepared. Big buffets tend to gross me out honestly, but this was so nice that it felt almost like being at a family feast. It was a nice experience, and I will definitely try it again on a not-holiday. They had a wide variety of standard dishes, tasty vegetables, my favorite Kim chee, a fresh looking salad bar, but also ham and turkey for the day, and I don't know if they always have steak but I certainly felt special eating it. read more

We've been wanting to visit this place for a while. The place is okay, there's a lot of people when we came which it gave us a good impression the moment we step in the restaurant. Ramon and I is happy to the food options they have of course the same things from all the Chinese buffet :) but for the amount of food they have on the restaurant is quite overwhelming. We eat everywhere so we like to see what they offer from the food itself and the service they provided. Unfortunately they need to work on providing great customer service. This is a pretty average Chinese buffet. The restaurant was clean and the food fresh. I didn't try the hibachi but their sushi was decent, about on par with what you expect in a buffet. The menu was fairly standard with nothing spectacular except maybe the dumplings which were my favorite item on the buffet. They had several lanes of food. The sushi was fresh and you can make your own stir fry. The prices were decent. Lunch buffet $8/$9 and about a dollar more for dinner. We've been coming here to eat, for a long time..even before they changed their name. It's a total buffet style restaurant. They have over fifty two items on the bars. And they're always crowded on the weekends. I like it because you have such a huge variety of food items to choose from. There's also a large fruit & desert bar, as well... I have been here several times and the buffet is a hit or miss. There are great things to eat but the food isn't hot unless you get the food off the grill. The sushi is great and never have any issues getting the items I want. The restaurant is always busy and at times you may have to wait to be seated. I have to admit i was skeptical about eating here. I expected it to be like all the other restaurants in taste and quality. However, this place has the best Chinese buffet in Columbia. I have been to 7 buffets and this one gets my vote for best. The General Tso chicken is not a ball of fat & breading like all the other places. Even the grilled chicken/broccoli didn't taste like tofu. It tasted like chicken! The crab rangoon was not as deeply fried as normal, which was good and they were delicious. I am picky about those. They even have sweet plantains, crawfish, blue snow crab, octopus, a few oysters, ribs, steak, and tilapia for dinner. I am glad they put the octopus on the desert bar. I would rather lose my appetite after dinner than before. (eww!) I wouldn't know how to eat one anyhow, but at least it kept me from getting desert. That is a good thing because I was already full. There is a hibachi area, and sushi bar. The decor is modern and upscale. Everything seemed great. The waitress was also attentive. I did not eat sushi or hibachi, so i am not able to review those. I did see the sushi guy talking on his cell phone. I cant say whether he washed his hands afterwards. It seems to be the complaint of other reviewers, but I didn't see on my visit. If i couldn't give them a rating i wouldn't but i work close by and i used to come to Jasmine all the time before the pandemic but recently i don't know what their problem is now it's like they've become prejudice towards A.A. I've been a there recently and the service was horrible and yesterday i was in there for lunch it was the worst most racist experience I've ever had since it reopened the service is past horrible 2 other tables had to get the server attention to come to my table and she still didn't come to my table until i tapped her on her shoulder and finally turned to ask me what i wanted rude as hell so i asked her how could she help a table that was there after me and you had to walk past my table to help them but still didn't help me she said they were busy but they opened at 11 and it was 11:30 with only 8 customers then the habachi cook was so rude and didn't season my food at all then i tried to call and talk to them abt my experience couldn't even talk a manager just the cashier who spoke and understood very little English i will never waste money in there again read more

The decor is beautiful and the food is amazing. Even my picky eater child can find something to eat there. Definitely go there with an empty stomach so that you can enjoy it all! The sushi may be occasionally made with frozen fish, but most places do that now, especially if you aren't right next to a place where you can get fresh fish. read more
