First of all, I come to Jason's often, I bring my family and recommend friends. However, today around 5pm, it was dead. My mom and I were the only ones in the restaurant. Yet, when I ordered my sandwich and we paid, the employee with blond hair was starting it, then a guy came in (maybe boyfriend or brother?) and started talking while I was watching her not make my sandwich that I paid for. It's not hard to have excellent customer service, especially when it's dead. I'm an assistant manager in retail and I've had food service experience. I recommend Wildflower Bakery or Paradise for the price & the great customer service you always receive there. Although, an older man was kind enough to clean off a table for us because- although it was slow, the tables were disgusting with crumbs. I had heard good things about Jason's. We were in the mood for something different and on the lighter side. I had already checked out the menu online and decided I wanted a Muffaletta. I was a bit confused about the Special which includes a 1/4 Muff, ruffled Potato Chips and a pickle. The cashier said you could have a go through the Salad Bar as the side. The Salad Bar looked very fresh and that was what I went with. Let's just say I hardly ate a light meal. I made a huge salad and added some of their Potato Salad, Tuna Penne Pasta Salad and then got a desert plate and got some of their yummy Fruit Salad and some of the best muffins I have had in awhile. The Muffaletta was huge despite being only a quarter. The Salad was very fresh and the Fruit Salad was tasty as well. The place was pretty slow, but it was an hour before close on a Sunday night. The crowd was predominantly if not exclusively Gay on my visit. I am not sure if this is typical. I will certainly be back to a Jason's Deli soon. I just love their nutty all mixed up salad. Every time my boss is in town, he insists that we have lunch here. It took me about 3 or 4 visits to find what I like.. I think I had a turkey wrap once, and a couple of other dishes (sorry I don't quite remember what..) but this is, in my opinoin, by far, their best dish that i have tried! Stepped in Friday early evening to try the Muffelatta. . OK I guess I had high expectations, cause the only other ones I've ever eaten have come directly from the grand daddy of Muffelatta's straight from New Orlean's, Central Market from the French Quarter. This Verison of the sandwich that Jason's Deli made was a very West Coast approach to the sandwich. I mean it had the olive dressing, and the meat reminded me a little of what the real ones are like, but not really in the same ballgame.. It was a little dry for my liking, and I wish the bun on it was a little more toasted. But if you've got a really tight budget and want a sandwich to feed you for like 3-4 days order it, you can always alter the leftovers at home to your liking. The Muffelatta was freakin huge. Like 4 sandwiches in one. Yes you can order the half for 3 dollars less but I like nibbling on my food a day or two later. The sandwich was only $10, and came with a pickle and some ruffles potato chips, and a side, potato salad. I probably won't order the huge sandwich again, just cause it was a little disappointing because I'm used to sorta standard on them, but wouldn't say it tasted bad at all. My companion and I have not only been a fan but also frequent diners at the Phoenix Metro Center location. Today, August 1, 2018, we went in for lunch, which usually are half and half, and after the order was totaled up and I gave my debit card for payment I was asked for my ID. Never, never in all the years I have frequented the Jason's Delis from Texas to Arizona have I ever been asked for an ID until today. Of course, I was not only pissed off but raise Cain as to why the hell I was being asked for an ID. It is not only the request for an ID when the party ahead of me were no asked and those people were "white", and I being a Native American. My first thought was the Trump speech falsely claiming of presenting ID when people buy groceries and why not for voting which has trickled down to eating out where any time one presents a debit or credit card for purchases they are to present an ID, if if they are frequent guests. To add insult to the presentation of my ID the manager asked me if it was OK to sign the receipt instead - what's the difference you're still discriminating by having me sign a receipt while you let others go through with their orders without asking for their ID. The white man in line behind me tried to console me by telling me he's always asked for ID but that was no consolation. SO THE MORAL OF my complaint is if you're Hispanic, Native American, or Black, JASON'S DELI will ask you for your ID before they served you because they don't TRUST you or maybe because of your skin color. read more

Came in for the first time today after driving by multiple times. Ordered the Italian special half sandwich, chips, potato salad and a large drink. All of this was only $11.00 and I felt like it was a great deal. Plus the meal came with a half dill pickle. The food was really great and I felt like the meat was sliced perfectly thin. so dine in is pretty good always good food and honestly cheaper, DELIVERY/PICKUP SUCKS!!!!!! this is the 3rd time they got my order wrong i ordered a kids CHEESE pizza, and a Cesar salad with a large drink. so my order came about an hour later (not a problem) i paid 27$!!! CRAZY and tipped the driver 10$. typically when i go in person my bill is 20 less. so the fact it was so expensive was weird, but delivery is a luxury so no problem there for me at least, other people may not have that extra money . my pizza came as pepperoni, i took it off, but the taste was still there and . i specifically said the regular original chips like 3x still wrong. salad was good, and also didn't give me a straw for my drink. the pizza was also cold and soggy by the time it got to me, but other than that everything else was good. plenty of ranch, and salad dressing and even threw in a pickle. i've been going to this place for over 12 years now, as my dad was a former employee, but if you're looking for a perfect order i would definitely eat there. or at least order there so you can see what they're doing ! read more

We like the food here, except don't get the Mediterranean Wrap--that was not so good; the pastrami and the club sandwiches are great; my reason for the 2 stars is that the service is less than desirable. If you eat in, you will have a better experience probably--I did on 2 occasions. However, on 3 occasions they have gotten it wrong when we did take out each time, and note that the place was not busy. One time they never let us know our food was ready--we waited quite a long time and then checked and lo and behold they said they called our name, but the place was empty, so not sure whose name they called or how loud they called it. The bread was stale, they forgot the extra plate and mustard, but on top of that, we spilled a full glass of water the went on the table and the floor. When I asked for napkins at the front counter, she refused to give me any extra, saying the busboy was going to clean it it, after 10 more minutes, i asked the tall blond and she refused to give me additional napkins, saying the busboy was coming. Waited another 10 minutes he finally, shuffled over to us. My niece's pants were very wet from the spill and when she tried to get some paper towels off the roll, he stopped her and told her she could not do that. Were went to the bathroom and guess what? No paper towels in there either or a hand blower. Had to dry my hands on my pants because there are NO napkins anywhere but behind the counter. No one tried to help us, or apologized or explained why we could not have additional napkins. My husband and I split a sandwich and they would only give us one napkin, even when I asked the girl to bring another. This was unbelievable behavior from the entire staff. What is the deal with the guarding of a paper napkin?? What is wrong with this staff? I have never seem the likes of it. We literally waited 20 minutes for someone to clean it up. The floor was soaked, the table too. We didn't want to move for fear someone would slip and fall. I don't know who the manager is, but I would bet every dime I have that this place will close down due to horrible service and stale bread.I could deal with the stale bread and incompetent staff, but sitting in a soak area for that long is unexceptable. Food is good, buts that's pretty much all they have going for them. I've come to realize that when you create your own sandwich, it's merely a suggestion to the person making it.
