I've been to several Jason's Delis around town and found this one to be one of the better ones - most likely because it's relatively new and quiet as well. It's one of the best salad bars I've ever been to in the area. I usually get the soup and salad combo, at which I love the chicken and sausage gumbo soup. I've had the chicken pot pie (pretty good) and chicken tortilla soup when available (pretty good). I haven't had a sandwich or wrap there in a long time since the soup and salad is usually good enough for me. Their cookies are very good, but they're $1 a piece which is a bit too much, but doesn't hurt to splurge once in a while. I love their salad bar the best - - the ingredients are always fresh, 3 kinds of lettuce, plus red pepper hummus is offered as well. The 3 kinds of cornbread muffins and the garlic toast is great but be careful as you could easily overcarb it. The icing in the cake is their free chocolate or vanilla ice cream machine, where I usually add strawberries and chocolate mousse from the salad bar. The only gripe about this specific place is that their employees start their close down prepping about 45 min before the store closes, and this can be somewhat of an inconvenience and a nuisance as well. They should wait until it's very late in the game but they obviously want to go home asap. It's annoying going up there and having someone else switch out containers or consolidate stuff while you just want to eat and GTFO, ya know what I mean? Regardless, Jason's Deli is one of my favorite places to go for a nice salad, soup, and free ice cream. I started a draft that simply said, "I love veggies". And this is true. For some reason, as a society, we are turning away from salad bars, and Jason's is one of the last bastions of the bar of unlimited vegetables, which I appreciate. I also appreciate the variety. I can get my veg on, and a dining companion can get a delicious muffalata. Or a bowl of pasta. Or a potato literally bigger than my head. Or pick from a glorious array of soup options. If nothing on the menu strikes your fancy, you can also build your own sandwich, which I like to do. I can't think of anything negative to say about Jason's Deli, except that I wish it was on the other side of the freeway (as I would go there much more often for lunch if it was in walking distance!). read more

We had a friend spend a few days with us and she had a craving for a muffaletta sandwich, since we had gotten her hooked on these in the first place, we felt a need to feed her need. We hadn't been to this particular version of Jason's in Round Rock so we paid them a visit, all three of us decided on the Italian sandwich created in New Orleans. My wife and I added a single trip to the extensive salad bar for a measly buck. The sammiches were very good and the oatmeal, pecan and cranberry cookie was over the top. Well its been almost two years since the last time I was here. Uugghh! The cashier that helped us tonight must of been new or something. Just a horrible experience with her. No greeting no nothing. This is one of my favorite chain sandwich shops. I have yet to order something that I did not like. My favorite would have to be the smokey jack panini. Turkey, avocado, jalapeno jack cheese, bacon and tomatoes on toasted panini bread. It's always fresh, flavorful, and filling! On our last visit, my husband ordered the pot roast melt. Omg, it is amazing! They load it FULL of meat (no skimping here) and top it with cheese (provolone, I think). You can almost feel the heart attack coming, it's that good! ...or bad depending on how you look at it. Another favorite: the baked potatoes. Whichever you order, you will be blown away with how BIG they really are. They are also very generous with the toppings. Last, but certainly not least, the strawberry shortcake is a must! I love jasons deli. most for 3 things: 1) the salad bar! you want fresh veggies and someone is always cleaning it up! 2) the muffaleta 3) the soup! - tortilla soup is awesome! I have been to this location a few times but its hard bc its right near third base, tortuga flats, and sushi nini. You get the idea. But we had a salad the other day and split a cup of soup. Perfect for us. I didnt even have room for frozen yogurt. If you are near here its a must try. My advice. get the muffaletta split it bc/ its HUGE! Even splitting half of a muffaletta works for us bc they serve it with chips and a pickle. read more

I am a fan and a tremendously repeat customer of Jason's Deli over many many many years including this location. I have supported them from when they first opened so many years ago that they had chips in plastic baggies and plain wrapped sandwiches to now branded this and that cups, bowls, wrappers, bags, etc... right down to color printed napkins! However, this was my last visit to the Louis Henna location. I will not return under this management. I asked for a cup of soft serve chocolate ice cream to complete my meal to go. An employee tossed a clear butter sized cup at me wouldn't stop telling me what was best for me and that everyone needs to cut back. Mind you, I am physically fit and even if I wasn't, an employee has no business telling me what I can and can not have when I paid for a cup of soft serve! There are lots of choices in sandwich shops. Save yourself some time and choose a different Jason's location or a completely different business. read more

I was very excited to taste the jason deli's Baja salmon wrap since as it sounded delicious. Wild salmon, homemade avocado jalapeño cream, cucumber, pico leafy lettuce and Baja slaw in an organic wrap with a lime wedge. However when it arrived there was no line wedge to be found? And despite this wrap sounding creamy and delicious it instead was dry and lacked flavor. I did however get a few burning hot mouthfuls of jalapeños that are chopped and chucked in as part of the pico? I couldn't believe that wit pico and cream sauce this was dry it's like they forgot to add any sauce? Also the wrap seems loose and gives the impression that they filling is lacking. I had a steam veggie side which was again no flavor just steamed, at least they were not soggy . I like my veggies crisp to retain nutrients. The cake balls are not worth $4.75, they are blah, nothing to write home about. Dense texture, very sweet, not bad but not exactly great. I wouldn't bother purchasing them again. Just came and had the papa verde sweet potato dish which is fantastic! Massive pot Ruin with soft seeet potato, spinach, turkey, cheese and avocado with jalapeño ranch! I highly recommend this! This is by far the nicest Jason's deli I've been to since living in Texas. A lot of them in Austin seem really run down where as this one is always clean and the salad bar is always well stocked and clean. No random olives all over the place either! The staff is always super nice, my kids are pretty picky about "new" ingredients and they're so accommodating with substitutions. We love this place! read more

Worst sandwich I've ever had. I ordered a veggie sandwich on a croissant. The croissant was burnt and rubbery and tasted stale. There were absolutely no condiments on it at all even though I ordered THREE and they got the vegetables completely wrong. My mom and sister ordered half sandwiches and got full and on sourdough bread but got cheap whole wheat slices. Just awful. No excuse for that kind of crap food. I start with two stars because when I called, they explained the issue and deducted the nasty sandwich from my ticket. It only gets two stars because the sandwich was horrible. I ordered a Beefeater, set to be delivered between 12:00 and 12:30. It arrived at 11:30. The other sandwiches were sloppy, but otherwise good, and the soup was okay for potato and clogged arteries. The beefeater was dissolving its bag with garlic. The dog ran, assuming leftovers were in her future. At work we order delivery from Jason's Deli a lot and I'm always impressed with the quality of the food. I decided to stop in on my day off and it was crazy madness on a Monday afternoon! Nonetheless, everyone was fast, efficient and friendly. I ordered a caprese sandwich to go (which is delicious) and got a mini ice cream cone for free while I was waiting. I also noted to myself that the salad bar looks great and I'll have to come back to try it. I chose baked potato chips with my sandwich... They also provide you with a pickle, a mint and a coupon for a free cookie or $2 off delivery. Very generous! I've been here on a couple occasions and I've realized something. If you want to see the stereotype of someone who lives in Round Rock.... come here. Mini-vans and SUV's fill the parking lot. Women with multiple kids in tow are chasing their brood around the restaurant while trying to have adult conversations with their husbands who are on their lunch break. It's a little expensive for a mediocre sandwich and soup..... but they do have Dublin Dr Pepper (made with Imperial Sugar) so they get 1 extra star. My friends and I have been here at least 4 times in the last month. I think we like it. Each time I have ordered the salad bar and a half sandwich or soup. I like their beef sandwich and their chicken sandwich. I like the small ginger bread roll like things from the salad bar which always is fresh and the many styles of crackers you can pick from. I have been going to this new location on Anderson Lane since it recently opened. I have to say the manager and staff are GREAT! Tables are always cleaned. They have workers cleaning tables asap! The manager even cleans tables or help his staff. I used to go to the one in Hancock Center but its not as clean as this one at all. This was such a disappointment. I ordered a salad and the penne with meatballs. It took two try's to get a clean bowl and fork to eat with. The pasta was so over cooked it was just mushy in my mouth. And this whole restaurant was so dirty. greasy hand prints on EVERYTHING the floors were sticky and had food on them, the seats also were dirty. I've been to a Jason's Deli before in San Antonio and this is nothing like it. It has a salad bar with a fairly large selection of items, and its cool that there's free ice cream. The set-up is a little screwy though, its like they wanted to add a bunch of features for the customers but ran out of room and had to stick things wherever they could fit it. Another reason for the three stars is the cost - ouch! It was just the two of us and our bill was nearly over $25 and all I ordered was the salad bar and ice water! My boyfriend and I LOVE Jason's deli and come here several times a month for lunch. This location is especially awesome, the food is always delicious, the employees are friendly and chatty, and the restaurant and salad bar is very clean. We were really impressed with Jamar (I believe he said his name was) who was our cashier and brought us our food. He was very friendly and made the experience that much better! I have stomach issues and love sandwiches and salads, but my boyfriend isn't always the biggest fan. Jason's deli is perfect for the two of us, they have lots of other options than your regular sandwich shop tends to have and you can't beat the free ice cream afterwards! I usually just get the managers special (1/2 sandwich and salad bar) with a roast beef on croissant and baked chips, but my boyfriend let me try his papa Joe and it was to die for! Having moved here from NYC where there is a salad bar on ever ycorner, I had been hurting for some good salad bar. Souper Salad is ok but I am way to tempted by all the other junk you have to pass by to get to your seat. Plus they have way too many mayo based salads which totally defeats the point of eating a salad. Jason's has a great selection. Beautiful, fresh selection of spinich, romaine and mixed greens, lots of other healthy items, many I do not see at Souper Salad (peppers, several different nuts, hummus). Well, what is there to say about Jason's Deli that hasn't been said in a ton of reviews? It's a deli, they've been around forever offering nearly the same menu in all that time, and they're decent. The location in Round Rock has good room and good service. My menu choices here usually restrict themselves to one of several choices: 1) Broccoli-cheese soup. It's thick, rich, and absolutely delicious. Maybe it could use some more broccoli, but it feels sinful eating this stuff. 2) Fiesta spud. The baked potatoes from Jason's are legendary. Topped with cheese, chili and some pico and you've got a meal that weighs in at 3 pounds I would bet. The chili is surprisingly good for a generic deli place too. 3) The NY Yankee. 3/4 pounds of meat. swiss, and mayo between two anemic pieces of rye bread. There's meat, meat, and more meat. Very good when you want a serious corned beef/pastrami sandwich fix. We don't get bitten by the deli bug all too often, but I'm perfectly content with Jason's Deli. read more

I live in Round Rock but work in Austin. Today I was getting a late start and thought I would grab something on my way into Austin. Food was okay. But when I asked for my normal Ice cream cup to go since my food was to go they tried to hand me a small cup like you would put salad dressing in with a lid and they said that with the Covid they had to make cut backs and could give me nothing larger than that unless I wanted a cone which is not safe to eat or carry and drive with. I numerous times told the employee just never mind but he continued to try to push the cup at me. He said trust me it will fill you up, trust me. I guess their free ice cream is bring your own cup at least at this location. I have never experienced this within Austin. They lost a future customer with me as I will drive the extra mile from work to go to Austin. I hope you save allot of money by not offering that to go cup in the future and that keeps your doors open because you may not realize how many customers you may loose by not offering and humiliating your customers with a tiny salad dressing cup and trying to tell them that that small cup is all you need to fill them up like I am a pig or something for asking for even the small clear cups you have previously offered. Simply, I enjoy Jason's Deli whenever I get the chance to order from here. I enjoy the menu choices: from the Nutty Mixed Salad, to the Gumbo, to the muffalatta sandwiches, to the simple ice cream. *Bias Disclaimer* I have eaten at Jason's Deli since the original location opened in Beaumont, TX.. yes, I am old (lol)... Bias' aside, give them a try for yourself and see what I review about. I appreciate their online ordering so that I can pick it up and get back to work or on the road.
