I want to commend to staff member at Broadway location named Chris. I attend a monthly book club meeting there and the service is always good but last night it was exceptional. I inadvertently knocked over a full glass of water that went all over everything. Chris came to my rescue and immediately cleaned everything and mopped the floor. I had the managers half sandwich Chicken and avocado. The chicken was very greasy and was not White meat. It also looked like they did not have enough to put on sandwich so they found odds and ends and slathered cheese to cover it up. I am so sorry that I forget about this place when choosing where to eat out. I was very happy to visit with my daughter. The menu has changed and there are SO many options and so many delicious looking choices. We were eating in, so I HAD to opt for the salad bar! I am not sorry at all. The most scrumptious salad I have had for quite a while. All my favorites and super fresh. By the time I served myself, my daughter already had her manager's special. Her half sandwich and fruit looked delicious as well. I was pleased to see all the employees, including the manager, clearing tables and tidying up during our entire visit. I have to give another shout out to Jason's Deli. They turned off the strong fans. It was great plus they are running a BOGO deal making those items a good price too. Food was fresh, delicious and there was plenty of it. It sure beat waiting in line, in heat, for 45 minutes to get in for salad bar down the road. Thanks Jason Deli manager and employees. We enjoy the salad selections here, but are quite disappointed with half the tables needing cleaning.

The place was filthy. Went for dinner around 4pm and dined in. Noticed 1 other person dining. Five tables were full of dirty dishes from people dining in. The floor was filthy and needed a good mopping. Sat at my table and cleaned the table myself of crumbs both on table and chairs. Noticed there were 3 men and 1 woman working and the only person doing anything was the woman. Noticed a tall man with red shirt occupied on his cellphone the entire time I was there. I was leaving after being disgusted both with the lack of cleanliness and honesty my pastrami sandwich and noticed an employee who came from the back picking up the dirty dishes on the tables and this employee was the only one who asked me how my meal was. Perhaps because he was cleaning the table I was sitting next to. Never going again to Jason's Deli in Tucson. read more

I really like the food at Jason's. But today I was a little disappointed by the staff. One girl was making sandwiches. The manager was walking around with a new person, I get that. One guy was standing around doing nothing. The girl Making sandwiches was busy and her station was starting to get messy, the guy standing around I think should have gone over there and started cleaning up her station. So she could make sandwiches. The manager in my opinion was not on top of what was going on. Messy food stations can cause problems. read more

A place I visit often would normally rate higher but this visit was the pits. Wanted soup requested garden veg. The only taste was of canned spinach, for those who enjoy that flavor -- Eww. Replaced the spinach failure with Broccoli cheddar, a usually safe and delicious option -can you say dirty socks. I will return but will stick with the salad and sandwich options. When I informed the front person when leaving of my dissatisfaction they responded "yeah the soups are nasty here." What the??? If it is bad and you know it how does it get served? I have loved Jason's Deli in the past, in a different location, different city altogether. Wanting to experience that again, my family and I swung by this weekend for lunch and it was so dirty that we cannot go back. Tables was hardly wiped down, I grabbed a napkin and brushed food off the seats before we could sit down otherwise we'd be sitting in breadcrumbs and shredded cheese. The salad bar area wasn't recked was it wasn't good either. The beverage area looked dirty like you wouldn't want to set your tray there while grabbing a drink. The way the tables are set up is bad, there's a couple tables way too close to the salad bar so you feel like you're imposing on diners while going through to get your meal. The bathrooms were DIRTY and looked as if they'd been for some time and finally there was a cleaning cart that just sat out in close proximity to the salad bar and in the dining area the whole time and it was off putting. The whole place is run down and dirty with a cashier who just didn't care. Where is one supposed to put their tray (table available was tiny for a family of 4) and what's the procedure to get a second plate for the salad bar? Not a good experience. read more

My fiancé and I go here at least twice a week for all of our meats! We rarely ever buy our meat from our grocery stores anymore because Dickmans has the best cuts of meats and specially seasoned meats and fish. It doesn't get any better! The staff are always so awesome and helpful and happy to see us. It makes each visit just that much more enjoyable. read more

Honestly, I used to think delivery drivers were a dime a dozen and whoever showed up, it wasn't a big deal. Now I realize that part of why we used to order Jason's so much for work meetings were the two awesome drivers they used to have-David and I forget the older guy's name. They went so above and beyond any other delivery driver we've ever experienced and we never had to worry about it being late or wrong. These replacements though leave a lot to be desired. There are often late. They often have to come back with what they forgot. Sometimes someone in street clothes show up with our catering. The whole experience is less because of it. Jason's is expensive, but they used to be reliable and it's just not the same anymore since COVID. I can't say the high prices are justifiable anymore. Such a shame. read more

Today was the first time we have ordered from Jason's. I was craving soup so decided to try the broccoli cheese and the lobster bisque. We were throughly impressed with both of the soups. We had it delivered with DoorDash when it arrived we had company that was probably here another 30-45 minutes. When we opened the bag both of the soups we're still HOT! Next time we want soup we will definitely be ordering from here again. read more

I used to love Jason's Deli. I grew up eating Jason's on Sundays. Yummy pb&j's and chips. Then finding it again in Tucson, I'm there at least once a month. My usual order is now the California Club, no guacamole with a side of fruit. Every time, without fail. Four stars only because unfortunately this last visit the quality went quite noticeably, down hill... The croissant bread was a lot harder than normal and the sandwich wasn't of great quality as it used to be. The fruit is no longer served in a separate bowl. They now just throw it in between the two sandwiches all lazy like, getting bread flakes all over my vulnerable fruit. The yogurt dip was also very watery for some reason. Also didn't keep up very well with the cleaning of tables and booths. I shall re-evaluate my next visit... read more

I had a guest clinician come to work with my choirs today so I wanted to provide lunch for him. I called the order ahead for pickup on my way in to school. I told them I would pick it up at 11:30. I arrived at 11:30 and the order was prepared, bagged, and ready to go. They even had the two drinks in a drink carrier in a refrigerator to keep them cool. The cashier then opened the door for me without asking as I had both hands full. In and out in a flash. Now that's superlative service! Very impressed. I had the Wild Salmon-wich: "marinated, grilled wild Alaska Sockeye salmon, guacamole, roma tomatoes, leafy lettuce, chipotle aioli on toasted herb focaccia." It was very tasty. My friend had the Nutty Mixed-Up Salad: "natural, grilled chicken breast, organic field greens, grapes, feta, nuts, dried cranberries,raisins, pumpkin seeds, organic apples." He enjoyed the salad. I only wished that we could have eaten it there to take advantage of the free soft serve ice cream. I find Jason's Deli, even though a chain, to be consistent, affordable, and delicious. A delightful change of pace from fast food. And there is something there for everyone. read more

Is this place run out of a college frat house kitchen? Gross. Orders were wrong--who adds mayo to a plain order?--and the food that did come was extremely underwhelming. What kind of a restaurant uses the nasty American cheese still? How can you charge for that? The soup was thick enough to be a dip, and not in a good way. Jason's Deli always makes me smile. Whether I'm in the mood for a sandwich, soup, or salad bar, I'm always satisfied. No matter what you get, there is always that complimentary ice cream at the end. Oh, yeah! Chocolate or vanilla or swirl them on a cone or a bowl. Every location I've ever been too has the chocolate sauce to add and some also have sprinkles and caramel sauce. I'm happy with just the chocolate sauce so I can't complain. You have a choice of salad bar, one trip or all-you-can eat (my favorite) and it come with mini muffins that I can never resist. Now I've eaten at some mom and pop places that are definitely better, but over all Jason's is darn good. At least I've not eaten at one I haven't liked. Ordered a same day order for 10-20 people of a fruit and cheese tray with two gallons of tea and cups. It was promptly delivered and the delivery guy was awesome. The fruit was fresh, the cheese was perfectly chilled and cubed, theor accompanying dip was subtly sweet but a perfect pairing. The beverages came in a plastic gallon (like milk) and all labels corresponded with what they were supposed to be (sweet tea & black tea). I went to this location with my family this past Sunday and unfortunately we will not be going back. We were one of the first customers of the day and the entire restaurant was sticky and felt like it hadn't been deep cleaned ever. The bathrooms were disgusting so bad that my toddler refused to use the bathroom and the high chair for my youngest was so sticky, I tried to clean it with my own wipes since no one was available to clean it for me and I couldn't scrub the grime off of it. I've only had catering services from Jason's Deli but each time I've enjoyed the items I've had. Our meals have always been fresh (hot if hot meals; good quality salad/cool if supposed to be). My favorite so far is the chef salad (cold cuts, egg, cheese, lettuce) that comes with their yummy homemade ranch dressing. The bacon, avocado, turkey sandwich is also good but a but heavy for lunch. If you eyes are bigger than your stomach and think you can eat a horse, this is definitely the place you need to go to. One baked potato is the size of 2 normal large potatoes packed full of delicious ingredients and if that's not enough for you, you get can get ice cream for free with your purchase. Let's call this 3.5 stars...I really like this place so I may update this later, but I had to downgrade Jason's a bit based on my last visit. I came in with my boyfriend around 6 on a Sunday night. That's pretty much prime dinner time, and there was hardly anyone there. Strange. We were greeted promptly and placed our order at the counter. My boyfriend ordered a sandwich and asked if they would add olives on it. The cashier said they didn't have a can of olives open so they could not. Seemed to me they were being cheap or lazy and didn't want to go grab a can out of the walk-in or something. They have also gotten rid of their french onion soup and another sandwich that he really liked. He ordered a french dip; I think it's called the beefeater. The cashier gave him a free drink for the trouble. That was nice. I ordered half of a Papa Joe (turkey sandwich) with a cup of seafood gumbo. We grabbed our drinks and were seated for a few minutes when a staff member came over and said they were out of focaccia so would I like my sandwich on a different bread. I said I'd take an onion roll. That's fine, but the fact that they were out of some items made me wonder if they're in trouble and not ordering certain things to keep costs down. Our food took a while for there only being a couple customers in the place. My sandwich was good but small, even for a half, and the serving of chips it came with was about half the size it usually is. My seafood gumbo tasted good but had some grains of rice that were hard and undercooked. I hope the place isn't going downhill, because I have always liked it, and it's great for carry out as well. But I can't give it an awesome review based on the last visit. read more

Never been to a Jason's Deli before as I live in California but was in Tucson visiting friends. I only stumbled upon this place because my original dining destination was Black Bear Diner in the same parking lot but they had too long of wait for me. Lucky for me as I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and try Jason's. Fantastic food and great service; employees very friendly and attentive; decent price also. We met with a group of our friends for a late lunch in the early afternoon at the Broadway Jason's Deli. We had the stuffed potato and a salad bar. The "small" potato was huge and my wife could only eat half of it. My trip to the salad bar was fantastic - I love their salad bar! Fresh ingredients, a good selection of items, and always filled by the staff. The seating area was quite full for a couple hours after lunch! Don't forget the ice cream after your meal - it's included and there are a few toppings to add also. The last couple of comments - love their sweet tea, can't get enough of it and the staff is always friendly here - never had an issue! read more

I ordered a sandwich at about 7 pm, in the store. Only three people in there, and had already been helped. A customer came in and I had to move because no one else said anything about social distancing. It seemed like a long time. I didn't want to stay in there a second longer than I had to. I'm old. So I asked for my money back. I gave the manager, a short skinny hispanic guy, my receipt which he threw on top of his computer, ignoring it. I never got it back. But then he became irritated and said, over and over again, "it's been 6 minutes. It's been 6 minutes. It's been 6 minutes..." I then asked him if he was saying that I, a customer, was wrong. He belligerently continued with his "6 minutes." I asked if he though I was wrong, yes or no. He said "goodbye, sir." What happened to "gee, I'm sorry it seems like it's taken so long. Let me check on that for you, okay?" It left when the employee's pride became much more important than anything challenging a customer might say. At least at Jason's deli. Don't complain! Very odd behavior for a local business when Covis must be cutting into earnings. But, of course, if not EVERY SINGLE customer counts, who knows what will happen. Do local businesses count?
