My husband and i dined at this place yesterday for dinner. First of all the manager on duty Jose was very rude to begin with. When I ordered I asked for the salad with my "steak" sandwich. He informed me the price had just went up and it would be 6.50 for a SMALL salad. Then when they gave me the bowl it was FILTHY. I had to ask for another one and the guy took out 6 more bowls before he found a clean one. Then when the guy delivered our food I requested the chips and was told I didn't want them and I told him I changed my mind bc I paid a ridiculous price for the salad. All together for 2 sandwiches 2 sodas and a salad was almost 50.00 RIDICULOUS. I'll never go again and I'll tell people not to go there either read more

I ordered lunch for my wife and I today from store #165.  I paid online and my wife picked it up.  when she got to my office the order was missing my drinks and salsa.  So I called the store and was told that the missing part of the order was on me because I picked it up.  I told how is that my fault?  You need to own up and take.  responsibility For what you did. It is not my fault. So then she hung up on me.  What a coward.  I am glad I do not have employees like that.  I would be embarrassed.  I will no longer be dining at your restaurant. We used to love Jason's Deli and ordered delivery for our clients 3-4x a week. Unfortunately we stopped due to some of our orders smelling like smoke and management not waiving delivery fees as promised. I hate to give such a low, low rating, but the lunch I had today completely justifies two stars. I ordered my lunch online which was fast and convenient. They had a new dish which was called, "The Mighty Salmon Salad". The only thing that was MIGHTY about it was that is was MIGHTY DISGUSTING. The flavors did not go well together at all. Also, the little taste that the "salmon" had was just horrendous. There didn't seem to be any seasoning what so ever. As for how it was "cooked"; I'm guessing, 3-6 minutes in the microwave. It was so dry, I could have used it to mop up my tears of disappointment. I had a side of potato salad which was okay. That's what the two stars are for. read more

I hadn't been to Jason's since it moved to the new location (gee, I guess I need to get out more!). Being a cold and rainy winter day in the desert, I desired a nice hot baked potato for lunch. Order the potato with chicken and pico de gallo. The chicken was that psuedo grilled chicken that ends up with kind of a spongy texture (like firm tofu) and wasn't too appealing. But, the sad part was the potato. Yes, they are huge .. far more than one person can eat, but it was "old" like it had been sitting in a warmer for 4 hours. (I once left a potato in the oven on low over night .. long story .. blame it on odd studying habits while in college) and it had the same texture as the one I had today at Jason's. I don't like old potatoes. This isn't the Potato Famine in Ireland where we must be grateful for an old blighted tuber! The potato today was definitely "quantity over quality". I'll probably try it again, but that was a bummer. But, I did enjoy the free soft serve iced milk product with dark chocolate sauce at the end of the meal. read more

I ordered the pot roast sandwich, and soup. This is the first time I've actually had more meat in my small cup of soup than on my sandwich! There literally wasn't enough meat to cover the bun, not to mention the single ring of an onion for a condiment. Looking at it from the side, the meat portion was almost not even visible. Thinking this was a mistake I went up and showed the manager. She said, "that is the correct amount for that sandwich". I must have unreasonable standards. There is absolutely no reason why I should not have loved my sandwich at Jason's Deli. Yet I found myself afterward saying I was not wowed. My wife said the same thing about her sandwich, so it wasn't just me being my usual difficult self. I had the Great Reuben. The menu promised 1/2 pound of corned beef, with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing. I mean how many more nationalities can you get between two slices of rye bread? It did deliver all that it promised but I just can't put a finger on why it did not blow me away.. The salty corned beef was plentiful and tender and played well against the punch of the sauerkraut and the creamy Swiss cheese although the Russian dressing was more of a whisper than a shout. My wife had the California Club. It had turkey, bacon, guacamole, Swiss cheese, tomato, mayo and greens on a croissant. She could not detect the bacon and said the croissant was a little too flaky. Free stuff: They have complimentary mini cornbread, garlic toast and pumpernickel muffins in the salad bar. The cornbread muffins were a tad dry and my wife nailed it on the pumpernickel muffins, describing them as tasting like soap. Also free are pickles from the salad bar and soft serve ice cream after your meal (or before or during if you so choose). I feel kind of bad giving them three stars. The sandwiches we had sounded great on paper but just did not deliver. We'll probably be back to hit the salad bar, try one of their gigantic potatoes or look for that sandwich on the menu that will have me telling all my friends about Jason's Deli. read more

So I went onto their website and ordered delivery. I did not order from Grub Hub, but it does not matter. I waited for an hour and then called Jasons, as the confirmation email gave me their phone number if I had questions about my order. They told me they were waiting for the delivery driver. I asked if my food was going to be cold, but he reassured me they just put the order out. I waited for over 30 more minutes and they said the delivery driver still had not arrived. I cancelled the order. I had waited almost 2 hours for some soup (already made) and a turkey sandwich? Do not think so. read more

Here's what: I enjoy Jason's Deli and have for a really long time. However, this Broadway location has gone downhill and I don't really know why. The last several times my husband and I have ordered, they've messed it up SOMEHOW. Something is forgotten, something is not quite right, and the deliveries are always hit or miss. They've also recently added a $5.99 delivery service charge (separate from the tip). A little too pricey for a service that is off about half the time. Further, their staff have become rather rude and unprofessional. They don't smile, they don't make eye contact. I heard a manager loudly chewing out one of the employees during the lunch rush one day from behind the counter. I'm not sure what's going on over here, but I likely won't be back for a long time. read more

I used to really like this place because of the healthier kids menu, salad bar, and the menu has something for everyone. I have eaten here with my family of five a dozen times. I have been very disappointed the last 3-4 times this year. I think it's seen better days. The tables surrounding ours were left dirty and even after the dishes were cleared the tables were not washed down...neither were the high chairs. When the area around the salad bar is messy then I have a hard time trusting the cleanliness of the bar itself. Things were not stocked well at 4:45 pm and it was not busy. There really is no excuse. I thought the kids pizza looked absolutely unappetizing and lots of food was wasted because it was just so mediocre. The patrons closest to us seemed to have the same problem with their kids meals. 1/2 the kids pizza was left behind on their table as well. Great service from really nice people. The food is great. It's always fresh and amazing! I love how healthy they are. You can get junk anywhere but they really go out of their way to provide healthy combinations. They are fairly priced for what they offer. Good taste in a comfortable environment comes second to nutritionally balanced meals to me. I'll gladly go out of my way to have lunch here. Awesome place for a quick lunch. It's a bit overprices for what you get, but the place is well taken care of. About 4 different staff members asked my table if we were ok, if we needed anything, & if we needed any refills; the drinks are self-serve, so that was above and beyond customer service. There is definitely better places to eat in terms of food, but it's definitely an excelent place to go if you're w/ a picky person; the staff is so overwhelingly attentive, it makes the mediocre food taste pretty damn good hahaa I know it's all I've talked about, but I really need to stress the customer service; I would never go back for the food, but the people are way too cool. read more

How to build your own sandwich with turkey, bacon, avocado, Mayo, and basil pesto on rye bread with a cup of ground turkey gnocchi soup. Everything was SUPER TASTY!!! (Especially with the pistol added) The soup had just a little bit of kick to it, and gnocchi was a little mushy and super yummy! This is the go to place for sandwiches, every one of them that I have ordered has been great. The prices are reasonable and the service is outstanding, very friendly people and you can stay for hours talking, playing games, etc. They have a salad bar and an ice cream dispenser. They should open more places around Tucson. read more

It is rare that you can find a place in Tucson where just looking at the menu you see several healthy options. I love Jason Deli's 'lighter fare' options including their awesome chicken salad wrap where the chicken salad is made with pineapple and almonds. My favorite is to score a trip to the salad bar and pay the additional $1.50 for a scoop of the chicken salad. While the salad bar has scores of fresh toppings, watch out for the supper yummy (but not so healthy) pasta salads, puddings and addictive mini cornbreads and pumpernickel breads (which taste like little gingerbread cakes)...and free ice cream! Jason's Deli is a great addition to the options available on Broadway for lunch. read more

Good French onion soup is hard to find, but Jason's nails it. Lots of yummy chunks of onion without being gross or stringy, big squishy chunk of bread, and a happy surfboard of melted cheese on top. I am all for lots of selection and healthy options with my lunch. The salad bar doesn't have a lot of selection but hey... their sandwiches and wraps are nice. The seating area has a few booths instead of hard chairs so snatch one when you can. Your meal will be brought out to you at your table by an employee (which is hard to find for a sandwich shop). You get what you pay for, and the sides which are included can fill you up fast. read more

We first came across this great chain at it's location in Moreno Valley, California. We travel full time in our motor home, and we knew we were coming to Tucson for a week or so, and we knew there was a couple of Jason's in town. Yea! Four of us went for lunch and had great food at a fair price. I personally come for the Muffaleta, a Louisiana specialty sandwich that I first had in New Orleans last summer. I don't know of anywhere else in the west where you can get an authentic Muffaleta. Ham, salami and cheese with an olive salad spread on a special bread. Delicious. My wife had a beef dip type sandwich, which was piled with meat, and my friend's wife had a Similarly huge ham sandwich. All of the food was great, the prices reasonable, and the service good. It is a deli style, order at the counter but delivered to your table, place with lots of seating. I was very happy and will go back, either to this one or any other in the chain. They all seem to have the same menu and the same quality food. read more

I purchased the salad bar and soup bowl today. The staff took great care in packaging things separately so they would all be delicious when I got home to eat. The serving was really large (at least 2 meals) and the soup was still hot (not just warm) 30 minutes later. I really enjoyed everything and it was nice to have the salad bar experience since most are closed. I even grabbed a strawberry shortcake which was a tasty end to my meal. Times are hard for restaurants right now, but Jason's staff was pleasant and attentive to my to go order. Good job! read more

We ate dinner there on Saturday night. And if you've ever gone to Jasons, you understand that most people order the salad bar. Why because it's amazing! I love their salad bar! So when my husband and I got to the salad bar with our plates, there were several things that were low or not available. So I went over to the counter, asked the lady if she could possibly fill the salad bar items. And you would've thought that I just told her she had to work for the next 365 days without a break. She was so irritated with the fact that I asked her to do this. Mind you everybody that had ordered before us and after us were at the salad bar. Her name was Becca. And so she angrily went over to the salad bar to fill the items. She proceeded to bang together the containers. As to make sure that I knew she was mad. Very disappointing, all she had to say was sure I'll be over in a minute. But no she had to make sure that I knew she was irritated and extremely busy, too busy to fill the salad bar, that everyone ordered. So I guess the moral of my story is don't ask Becca to do anything for you. read more

This was the first time I've been to a Jason's Deli - and last. I was sorely disappointed. I went on a Sunday around 5pm. The place was empty except for two old couples; not a good sign. I placed a to-go order. Half the menu wasn't showing to the to-go area (I knew this because I looked at the menu on their website beforehand), so I had to ask if they had the chicken penne pasta (they did.) The cashier charged my credit card, printed out multiple receipts and then walked away on the phone without handing me my receipt or saying anything. After 5 minutes, the food was ready, but it was wrong. They made some meatball and pasta dish. I told them and watched them make the correct order. This is where it got real bad: First, they took precooked penne noodles out of the fridge. Not great, but ok. Then they scooped out a plastic bag containing chicken out of hot water - I guess they leave it in hot water to keep it warm and use a plastic bag to keep it from getting mushy. Disgusting. The chicken was put on the cold penne, tomato sauce was added, and then the whole dish was *microwaved* in front of me. I brought it home (5 minute drive) and tried it. Not great, not bad; just very blah. Not worth the $9, especially after I saw how it was made. Won't come back. read more
