Such a good experience here. We came to eat after a road trip from the coast of Oregon. The weather was amazing and we were able to enjoy our meal outside. This restaurant has every kind of burger; kangaroo, camel, elk, etc. the Elk burger was really good and so were the fries! The burgers are enormous and they can definitely be shared if you don't want a whole meal. The staff was friendly and there was no wait. If you visit the Medford area, I'd highly recommend coming here for a quick bite! read more

You can sit inside, but outside is best as long as it isn't raining. This is a small place. Their food is fresh and unique. Their burgers are the best I have ever had by far, but these are not the "fast food" or back yard bar-b-q kind. So much in them!!! The variety is amazing, so read carefully before ordering. Also, the burgers can be messy to eat, (adds to the experience). The selection of meats is also excellent. I prefer either the bison or elk while my grand daughter prefers the kangaroo. The tater tots are plentiful and not greasy, (baked?) Their shakes are also excellent if you have room left after eating everything else. (I like the peanut butter and boysenberry combination.) The meal was great!! Best burger I have had in a while. They have lots of options and unique burgers you can't find anywhere else. The only reason it's not 5 stars in my book was because of the service. I was eating alone and the waitresses kept passing me. Started out getting served a milkshake that had the consistency of flavored milk. When mentioned, i was told have new staff, and they replaced it with something in between a glass of milk and a real shake. Next was the wait person spilling food on my wife. Next salad was missing an ingredient and, when asked, was told it was underneath. It wasn't. Other listed ingredients were also missing and when inquired, were told is new item being sold and will inform kitchen. There is no offer to fix it. We discovered this hole-in-the-wall burger,, dog, and sandwich shop by checcking local area reviews. Apparently, it's been around since 1976. Jaspers endures in my opinion because they do an awesome job with basics and offer many varieties. The burgers, of which there are many varieties, also can be ordered with Elk, Ostrich, Kangaroo meat instead of beef. I actually had a dog with sauerkraut and stone ground mustard and it waS delicious. My companions each had different burgers and gobbled them down impressively. We shared a large order of beer battered onion rings and those were delicious as well. The service was top notch. This little place is now on our personal favorites list. read more

Jasper's is just what a guy needs after fighting wildfires all week. Every burger is perfection but I go for the MFD (shhhh it's a secret). A specialty burger made for Medford fire department. This joint is a no thrills burger lovers dream. The blueberry malt is out of this world and every burger I tried was ridiculously good. Local ingredients (except for the kangaroo and Asian deer). In all the years I've lived in the valley I have never tried Jaspers. What a treat this was. There is a small area for indoor dining and a larger area for outdoor dining. The only drawback is that they're located on the highway so there is a lot of road noise, making conversation difficult. The menu offers a variety of meat for your burger (bison, elk, boar, camel, grass fed and kangaroo). These are offered at an additional add on fee ranging from $2 to $4. I had a pomegranate milkshake, the teriyaki chicken sandwich and onion rings. The milkshake was delicious. I would of liked a little more pomegranate taste and less vanilla ice cream. The teriyaki chicken sandwich was good. The onion rings were wonderful. So good! When I ordered, the waitress asked me if I'd like ketchup or fry sauce. They also have ranch and a more zesty fry sauce, which we found out after overhearing another waitress offer it. I had heard Jasper's had the best burgers in town, so being a big fan of big juicy tasty burgers, I had to go check it out. We got here before noon, cause I heard it was crowded too if you wanted to sit inside and not get roasted by the 100+ heat outside! I decided to get the Smokey & The Bandit, made with smoked gouda/swiss, bacon, chipotle aioli, (7.99). Up sized my meat to an 1/2 pounder with Kobe trim for $1.79. Big meat is a good thing! The burgers don't come with fries, so you order that separate. We got one order of the fresh cut fries to share for $2.49. My friend ordered the Duke burger with fresh avocado slices, Swiss cheese for 6.99. The milkshakes are suppose to be the best here too, so what the heck, one milkshake to share, Blackberry! Shakes are 16 oz. for $4.49 The food is out pretty fast and looks great. That is one big ass burger I got, good thing I have a big mouth! LOL! OMG, is this a good burger. Juicy and the right mix of ingredients to be a balanced taste. It tastes like good quality meat. The fries are good, pretty much fries. But, that shake, wow, so much flavor! Oh goodness - this place is fabulous!! There are only 5 tables on the inside, but during summer, it's going to be fun to sit outside at all the tables they have in a park like setting! We had the Doc Holliday burger! It has a beer battered onion ring, BBQ sauce, bacon, cheddar and this tasty southwest sauce! We like our burgers well-done, but they usually come dried out - this did not! Nice and juicy, but done perfectly! We got a half order of the beer battered onion rings! An extensive burger menu. This is a great local restaurant The food is amazing. Great side choices and he milk shakes are wonderful too. There is limited seating inside but on a beautiful day, there is wonderful seating outside. It is on a busy road and so you do hear some car noise. Not sure if it was the heat exhaustion from the 100 degree weather, but I had the best milkshake of my life here (lots of ice cream, tons of Oreo bits, you get it). The grandkids loved Jaspers. When our grandson got his burger, he went to take a bite, and the patty slipped out of the back of the bun and onto the grass. I found this place on Yelp and I'm glad I ignored all the negative comments. I'll start by saying that every business in America is facing a staffing shortage and are struggling to keep their business running efficiently. If you don't or can't understand this, then just stay home. I'm realizing that most of those unreasonable pushy people are the same ones on unemployment who are not contributing anything positive to their community. Ok...now about Jasper's. The place is small but obviously very popular by the fact that every table was full and the people never stopping coming in while we were there. Be prepared to wait. If you're in a hurry, go visit a fast food establishment. Take a look around you while you wait and make sure you pay attention to the fact that there's a very busy and NOISY highway running right past this little gem of a restaurant. If you accept a table outside, know that the sound of traffic will be heard. Cars will be speeding by. We sat outside on the bench right next to the road and it was noisy but we were ok with it. The food is amazing. We were a party of six and all of us really enjoyed our food and drinks, not a single complaint. The service is good and the ladies are friendly and working as fast as they can. I will definitely return next time we're in the area. So my friend and I had to travel to Medford to pick some stuff up from a friend. An 8 hour drive we decided to spend the night in town and check it out and get the stuff next morning, we looked around and talked to a few people, and this place came highly recommended. We already had thought we wanted to go to In n out for burgers so we weren't sure if we wanted to go for burgers here or not. Let me just say I'm glad we did, the food we had was absolutely amazing. I had a doc holiday and my friend the Western, we also shared a jiffy, which was a very odd idea to me but turned out to be surprisingly tasty. It was so good we decided to forgo in n out the next day and got burgers here again, the second time I had the MOAB and my friend the real lone ranger. If I ever find myself heading through this way again I would detour just to eat here because it is well worth it. read more

Born and raised in the valley, Jaspers has always been a classic but sometimes their burgers are a bit too messy to even eat. There needs to be a balance so that you can also eat the food... their shakes are delicious but could have more flavor.
