We stopped into Burger Station for a quick to-go lunch. They have plenty of parking outside and the inside is spacious with a good amount of seating. It's definitely a casual burger spot and they have breakfast and lunch options. We ordered a double bacon cheese burger ($14.85) and upgraded to a meal with fries and drink (+$6) a Patty Melt ($11.45) and upgraded to a meal with potstickers and a drink (+$9) and a milkshake ($6.55) plus a side of ranch ($1.50) for a total of $61.07 after tax and tip. They made the food to order and it took maybe 10-15 minutes for it to be ready. The staff was friendly and made sure everything was packed well and that we had napkins and ketchup in our bags. Our food was still hot when we got back. It's a solid meal, but I was disappointed in the potstickers and the sauce that came with them. It was a teriyaki sauce that in my opinion wasn't the right flavor profile to pair with the potstickers, a sweet and sour or something tangy or with vinegar or even hot chili oil would have worked better for my tastes. The ranch that we spent $1.50 on also tasted generic and like it wasn't made fresh. I would pass on this upgrade if ai visited again. I usually don't enjoy giving independently owned and operated business an average rating. But this was the case based on the unfortunate and massive price increases that "Burger Station" has implemented on many of their menu items since 2021. With that said and done, this place has delicious burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, and a nice assortment of breakfast options. Located directly on Rockingham Drive (and in between Old Placerville Rd. & Mather Field Rd.) in the heart of Rancho Cordova, this place has been around for quite some time (mid 2000's from what I can remember). Their hours are also catered for people that work in the area; primarily in the mornings and afternoons as they are open Monday through Friday from 7am-3pm, Saturday from 10am-2pm, and closed Sundays. The interior is pretty no-frills as this place resembles a typical lunch spot with basic tile flooring, a self-serve fountain drink area, and a refrigerator selling sodas, energy drinks, juices, and bottled waters. There is also ambiant seating throughout and from what I can recall, only one table to dine outside. Since I was in the mood for a sandwich, I went with a regular "Turkey & Ham Sandwich" (priced at around $11.00). This was served with mayonnaise, mustard, tomatoes, lettuce, sprouts, onions, pickles, and shredded cheddar cheese on a soft sweet roll. However, the sandwiches don't include any sides so I ended up buying a side of "French Fries" (priced at $3.95). After it was all said and done, this thing came out to about $17.00 (after tax); about 1.5 to 2 times of what you would pay at a neighborhood deli or grocery store. Even though my sandwich was delicious, tasty, and packed a ton of meat with fresh produce, the price was just a little too expensive for a basic sandwich. Granted this is very tough for small business owners that don't have any control over the cost of meat, cheese, produce, and bread based on the supply and demand of food these days. All in all, service was great, my sandwich & fries were delicious, and the timeliness of when I ordered to when I got my food was above average. But the high cost is a deterrent that will most likely prevent me from coming here again. My rating for "Burger Station", just an average three stars. read more

I don't understand what was going on it was at the same time... I got a hamburger, onion rings, dumplings and a small salad. I believe this is from an Asian family or company. I think it's Korean. It is a fusion of American and Asian cuisine...Whatever it is..It is working very well! Burger Station is very unique it is one of very very few places that gives you the opportunity to have your hamburger cooked your way... I got my hamburger cooked medium rare. Yeah it arrived just that way.... it had plenty of everything and I thought it was a very good hamburger.The one thing missing was mustard. The onion rings were very hot and very good ..They tasted excellent. The small salad was very small I did have cheese and a cucumber and a couple of mushrooms but I thought that was overpriced. I got six fried dumplings that cost me $7.08. That comes to $1.18 per dumpling plus tax...Now if the dumplings were handmade and in house I can understand the price. But it did not seem to be done that way. If not made from scratch...I consider that kind of gouging your customer. This is one reason I did not give them five stars.... Burger station has been around a long time and the nice Korean family that ran it for many years did a great job offering burgers and some Asian rice dishes at a great price, great service and speed. They close pretty early, some business at breakfast, most business is at lunch time. As they got older they brought a younger family member over from Korea and he eventually took over and did a good job carrying it on. Fast forward through Covid and it seems to have changed. Prices skyrocketed. $12 for their Pastrami burger and pretty much any burger or sandwich. That's the same as five guys price at the moment. Burger fries and drink around $20. It is still decent food but nowhere near the value it once was. I wish this place well. I don't think this is sustainable. There is just too much competition around for the "lunch rush". Grabbed a breakfast burrito the other day as my go to was closed. It was ok, place was empty. GL Burger Station, will miss you if/when you close. This place is the place to come for an awesome Burger. Red Robin is good but not as good as Burger Station. We ordered 2 Mushroom Burgers, French Fries and Onion Rings. The food was served hot and oh sooo good. I didn't think I would complete my burger, but I did! We got the pastrami burger, from the description it sounded DELICIOUS but we were disappointed to see that it only had like one small piece of pastrami and the bottom piece of bread on the burger was soggy. They also don't offer meals, you have to buy everything separately! The fries were really good, so I'll give them that! But I would not recommend the pastrami burger. Hung over and looking for something delish, I landed on Burger Station. It's a cute little shop in Rancho Cordova that packs a big flavor punch. This time around I ordered the Reuben sandwich and a side of fries. You seriously cannot beat the price for what you get. My sandwich was steamy delicious and the fries were the perfect middle between crispy and soft. They included packs of ketchup and napkins, both of which I destroyed. This was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've had in quite some time. I was a very happy lady and will certainly return. On another trip here I got a cold sandwich, I can't remember what it was, but it too was huge and delicious. On a soft roll and was very large. I don't remember finishing the whole thing. I love these small joints because I never know what to expect. I ordered the Belli Delux burger and a side of fries. Wow! I was blown away at the size of the burger and the flavor! This burger had avocados, bacon, onions, pineapple, pickles, lettuce and thousand island dressing. The combination was awesome. You can completely miss this place tucked into a strip mall off Mather Field Road in Rancho Cordova. But it's clear that the locals know this place is because it was jam-packed for lunch. The menu is extensive and it has a little bit of that Asian Flair to it which is unique. Unfortunately I didn't have the best experience, but I definitely see the potential in this place. It took 30 minutes for my burger to be delivered and when it was-- the cheese was cold. So I had to send it back to have it melted.Umm...cheseburger. I had to ask for all the condiments that weren't there on the table. And had a really hard time getting any sort of follow-up service like a to-go box. The burger was great. If you're expecting extravagance, you won't find that here. Clean, simple food for a good price? You can probably find something that will fit your tastes. In the search for more vegetarian options close by, I found this place had a sammich and a salad that fit those needs exactly. I've needed another vegetarian option for lunch aside from Asian restaurants since it is way better to diversify. That and I go to the Chinese food place I frequent way too often. I don't think I can burn out on Chinese food but I really don't want to test that fact either. It'd be a very sad day for me. The inside is a little small but it seems like there's adequate enough seating for the lunch rush. I got here sometime around 1130 and the crowd wasn't too bad. Once I had sat down after ordering though, there were many people that came in to roost. It seemed like there were some locals and a lot of workers that roll through this place. The service was quick and attentive, and the food came out extremely fast. One caveat to that though is that what I had ordered did not contain anything cooked. Well okay, everything was uncooked aside from half of a hard boiled egg on the salad which can be prepared beforehand. So I ordered the Veggie Delight salad with Japanese dressing, and the Humming Guru Veggie sandwich for today. *Side Note: the woman at the front warned me about the size of the salad and that ordering both would be too much. I still have half of a sammich left. Honestly, I could eat it all but it'd kinda defeat the purpose of getting a salad if I just stuff myself silly. In retrospect, for the sammich I also interpreted cream cheese as cottage cheese which I thought might work well but tricked myself while looking at the menu somehow. Go me. Anyway, the sammich was well... decent. The were some inconsistencies with preparation and it was missing a flavor factor. There's a good amount of avocado in it which works well. Salt and pepper rounded out the taste quite well which it needed. The cream cheese didn't give it enough pop I'd say, plus I wouldn't want that much of it anyway mostly for health reasons. The peppers and carrots were in little bits (I'm assuming it is the same stock that is used for stir fry). A good amount of those fell out of the sammich while I was eating due to the size of the pieces. Fresh spinach or an aioli could also work really well for this too since cream cheese isn't that great of a binding agent. *Side Note 2: Yes, I realize I say sammich, it's a typing/texting habit I picked up years ago from one of my best friends. I blame her. The salad was quite big. There's also quite a good amount of avocado in this as well so if you do decide to get this, you better like avocado. As far as ingredients, this was a basic salad mix with one slice of tomato, little croutons, half of an egg, and roughly one sliced large avocado. I think that if it was a whole egg that was in this thing I'd come back a lot for just this salad. I might consider just asking to add another half egg just to do that. As a salad, it is big enough to cover me for lunch as a whole without having to order anything extra which is nice. Perhaps sometime, I'll come back and try the cooked food but for now this will be the salad spot for me to pop into for a fix. read more
