Went here for a birthday brunch and the place isnt too big but its cute. We waited about 45 minutes before being seated and unfortunately got outisde. Our server (i wish i remembered his name) was very nice and helpful. After placing our orders food came out pretty quickly. Everyone enjoyed their food, it quite tasty! I ordered an iced chai tea with oatmeal and yumm it was good! I drank half and asked for a to go cup and he was nice enough to offer me a brand new one to go since mine was watered down already! This was my first time checking out Java & Jam and I can tell you it won't be my last. I always get apprehensive going out to places like Fort Lauderdale on a weekend and having to fight the crowds and deal with a long wait. This wasn't the case, we were seated in less than 5 mins! Seated inside in a cozy booth. The waiter was great and super friendly. I ordered a special churro ice latte they were promoting (not overly sweet so it was perfect) and a Rueben. Definitely more than I could handle since it comes with a side as well. Hash browns for me please :) My sister got the crispy chicken sandwich and she said it was amazing, also the portion was huge. And our friend got her ultimate fave the Avocado toast and added truffle oil. All in all a great experience. Will definitely be back with the rest of the fam. read more

Pssst. Want to know a secret? I'm addicted to breakfast out. I love it. And when there is a place as good as this just steps from my front door- it makes me wish I had time on more than the weekends for breakfast out. Know if you go- they have valet out front or you can usually get street parking, at least on the weekends. They do a good job at the host stand not overwhelming the staff so don't despair if you see empty tables and they are seating you immediately. You'll thank them for it when you get seated. And even on the busy mornings, I've never waited more than 15 mins to sit. Imagine my delight on this visit when I got to sit in Kyle's section again. He remembered me and my dining companion and proceeded to take such good care of us, I've told all my friends not only to go- but to sit in Kyle's section. I only hope that there will still be room for me when I go! I had been eyeballing the pancakes for the last two times I went so on this visit, I bit the "calories be damned" bullet and ordered the pancakes for the table. They came up all fluffy and hot and once I drowned them in butter and syrup I was in heaven. Go. Just go. You'll be happy you did. And if you do- sit in Kyle's section. I originally stumbled upon J&J thanks to the christmas beauty of Miracle pop up bar. While i had been to the miracle bars and tried the signature festive drinks, J&J had way more to offer. I loved that they kept their standard menu options available, the food was great! I went with the eggplant parm which was served with a lush salad. They also had a delicious meatloaf made from a short rib and brisket blend. A few friends went with the herb roasted chicken which looked juicy and seasoned really well. It was great to find out that this is not just a typical coffee shop and they serve real hearty foods! The brunch looks amazing so I plan to come back and try that out. Location of Miracle on Las Olas pop-up bar 2019. This review is mainly from that experience but also ate a good amount of their delicious food. Admittedly, the genre of food here is pretty random ranging from gumbo to grilled cheese "soup"-wiches to meatloaf. The diner vibes I get from here comfort me just as much as it confuses me. Regardless of being confused, the staff and atmosphere is one that I love. Upon hearing the name, you may think this place is a coffee shop, serving up some java and small bites that include jam. I've never been so happy to be wrong. I've been to the Miracle pop-up in Miami and was curious to see how the it would fit in to this restaurant. The pop up is outside on their patio. The bar itself is a small, teeny-tiny bar outside, serving up all their specialty drinks. Now, this isn't the type of bar you can wait on, it's really just for making the drinks themselves. If you're not dining in, you still have to sit down to enjoy the drinks. Not as casual as I would've liked it to be but it was fine because I was famished and wanted to eat anyways. Our server was super friendly and accommodated us as our party of 4 became 11. We moved indoors because the outdoor seating just couldn't accommodate that many people. Few things to keep in mind: 1. Parking may be hectic as it's either street or garage. 2. Not a causal bar, so expect to sit down. 3. Don't come with a large group unless you're okay sitting inside. The drinks were delightful, they have a separate menu for them. I just wish they had a "secret" menu like the Miami one did last year because those drinks were more to my liking catering more to my chocolate sweet tooth. The closest drink I could get to it was the Carol Barrel drink. Also tried their gingerbread one and the run run rudolph. All a bit heavy on the alcohol, but some people like that right? They also have some non alcoholic drinks, such as the s'mores hot chocolate. Delicious! The food was pretty good, just very pricey. I would recommend the pimento cheese fries, they were my absolute favorite! read more

My friend ordered her meal first because she had a hungry 6 month old with her. She ordered the chicken salad sandwich on regular (not toasted bread) & a side of avocado. She specified not to wait for us to put the order in because of the hungry baby. I ordered the spinach and chicken salad approximately 5 minutes later. My other friend ordered the eggs. We both ordered libations as well. The food was fantastic! My spinach chicken salad had the right amount a chicken, spinach, apple, raisins, and homemade salad dressing. My friends also said their food was good. The only negative is the service was slow. We went on a Thursday around 11am, so not a busy weekend. Even though my one friend ordered 1st, we all got our food together. The chicken salad was not supposed to be on toasted bread, so we asked for a regular slice of bread and avocado (because they forgot it). We had to ask two more times. It took close to 15 minutes to get one glass of wine and a mojito. Even with the slow service, I would recommend this restaurant because of the quality of the food! read more

The old Vibe apparently wasn't as popular anymore and the owners decided to change it from a night spot to a day place focused on breakfast and brunch. The restaurant was completely redone, it's beautiful with an open modern decor. I wasn't sure about Java & Jam when they first opened, the menu seemed a bit off, service needed training, there were no Brunch bottomless drink specials and the food was disappointing. Fast forward a few months later and I am glad to see that they made some changes, their menu is more complete, service was friendly, but they still have no plans of offering any Brunch drink specials. Their concept is standard diner food staples with an updated modern twist. I had the spinach omelette, it was fluffy and delicious! Served with creamy cheesy grits and multigrain toast. Part of their specialty is their 3 fresh made jams, strawberry, raspberry and apricot, I would suggest they keep these small containers full before serving them to the table, other than that, the food was excellent, perfectly executed with superior ingredients at a reasonable price for the area. Java and Jam is located right on Las Olas. If you're looking for parking, go on the side streets around the area and you'll find some. The wait for our table was only 5-10 minutes when we arrived around 1:15 pm. I had taco & eggs with the cheddar biscuit on the side and my fiancé ordered the salmon bagel platter. Our meal was SO GOOD. We both devoured our meals. My favorite part was the perfectly cooked thick cut bacon. I loved the ambiance. - it was super chill& open. It wasn't too noisy either. You got the diner feels with the Las Olas vibes. I'd definitely go here again in a heartbeat! My favorite part of the whole experience altogether was the SERVICE.
