While we waited, we took a seat by the window to people watch. My drink was so cute, especially with the sprinkles. They added a lovely texture to a velvety chai. I appreciated that it wasn't too sweet even with the sprinkles and cherry white chocolate. As expected, the affogato was strong with the extra shot, but still smooth without being bitter. I need to remember to come back to Chocolatte more often. There's plenty of seating and the vibes are so cozy. The clam chowder was the soup of the day and so so good, I love when clam chowder has potatoes with the skin still attached. It is family owned which is something I always try and support when traveling. You order at the counter before sitting down. You could always just order to go. We stayed and ate at the restaurant at a table with a view of Main Street. We ordered the Motherlode breakfast dish and the French toast. The Motherlode is a Homemade Biscuit, Country Potatoes, Gravy, Sunnyside Egg & Bacon Bits. It had a great smoky flavor and I always enjoy a homemade style biscuit. The French toast was served with a side of potatoes. It was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. My only regret is that we didn't grab a few cookies for the road home that looked so good. We will definitely be back when we visit again.
