Whether it's in the morning or later in the afternoon, this place caters to your dining needs. It's got a great coffee bar as well as a regular bar. And if you're there later in the afternoon, they'll always have a live band playing. My kinda place in quiet Maui.

I wanted another breakfast place to go to that we haven't been to. I searched the reviews and picked this place. Not sure I did a good job. The place is up North from my resort and only a 5 minute ride, so it was close by. The reviews were just ok but I tried it. We got there and found a parking spot close to the restaurant. When we went it it was pretty packed. all tourist . I looked around but didn't see any seats. My wife and I went back to the front and a waiter said it would be a second, then directed us to a table all the way to the back of the place. Luckily the guy behind the bar said he got us. Otherwise I didn't think we would have gotten any service for a while. The place was packed full of weird stuff for decorations. The walls were written on by previous customers. It was a sight to see. Not sure it helped in know if the food would be good our not. It look Peruvian maybe. The guy looked possibly that or middle eastern? not sure. He brought us some menus and asked if we wanted coffee. I told him just water. I decided to go with eggs benedict to be safe. The wife decided on an omelet. The service was really slow and you could see people were already finished eating and wanted to pay but didn't have their bill. The place was full. We learned later that only two people were working today and the old man apologized for the slow service. My benedict wasn't too bad. The flavor was ok . My wife's omelet was a miss. It was lunch meat and canned pineapple and she said it was horrible. Oh well not a good pick. It seemed like a tourist trap especially the prices were crazy for the low quality food. We have eaten all over the island and had great food at way better prices no need to gouge on prices. We won't be back

Hello Fellow Yelpers We found this place by accident, which was great for us. Had dinner , I had the chef salad with a delicious vinaigrette and my sister had shrimp scampi. Both were very tasty. The best part of the night was the awesome waitress Samantha and the live music singer Chris Magee. We found out they also serve breakfast and we can back in the morning for this. We are coming back tonight to hear the live music again. I highly recommend you try this little hole in the wall restaurant/bar quirky place Remember to do random acts of kindness as it will make everyone feel wonderful Happy Yelping, please follow me for more awesome reviews

Wow, the photos do not do justice to this location. The food was amazing with such delicious flavors the chef outdid himself from the French toast to the Web run shadow the ambience is you need at least three days to review all the different spectacular paintings around the restaurant and other a novelty items. The service was wonderful great place to come and visit each time the menu is outstanding.

The decor of this place was unique. It's an old bar with fancy decorations, and dark art stuff. Not sure how to explain it, but some of the things didn't go. The place looked like it needed some care and updates. There were two servers, when we walked in. One told us to wait and the other told us to sit anywhere. We just decided to sit. It took them awhile to come by. But we finally put our order in. I ordered the Hawaiian omelette. It was awful. The omelette was very over cooked and they used thinly, sliced lunch meat for their ham and canned pineapple. There wasn't very much cheese. It didn't taste very good, it was very bad. The only thing I liked on my plate was the toast, and that was mediocre. You would think they would use fresh pineapple, you're in Hawaii! The omelette was overpriced, they charged $22. I compared other cafes and restaurants in the area and the restaurants don't charge as much. I would never come back. This was an awful experience. Service and food were bad. I think they are taking advantage of the tourist in the area. They are charging more than they should for their food. This is unfortunate.

We came at 7pm for a drink and dessert. I found a great spot at the bar to listen to the one man band. He played Billy Joel, Tom Petty, and Grateful Dead. He was pretty good and made this even more festive for a December night. The food is comforting and we went with an amazing bread pudding that was just outstanding. Definitely safe room for it or go straight for drinks and dessert. The bartender is a friendly local. There's a cute black and white tuxedo cat who deserves attention. We will be back again and again. Cheers.

If you're looking for dakine loco moco, this is it! The vibe is amazing and the food is excellent! This place will definitely be on our must stop places to eat!

I don't know who convinced these people that any of their food is worth anything over 15 dollars. Their wings are soggy and pretty much inedible. The fish and chips is huge disappointment, 20 dollars for 3 bits of fish and a mediocre amount of fries???? Other than that the service is okay, and the place looks nice. But to be completely honest you are better off spending your money somewhere else.

I stumbled upon this little cafe/bar on my first full day in Maui and I really enjoyed the whole experience. As soon as I came in, I was welcomed by the staff and took a spot at the bar. The ambience was very relaxing, smooth jazz playing the entire time. I ordered the late bird special and it was great. A simple breakfast at a good price considering the cost of food on the island. My server was absolutely amazing. Attentive, friendly, and made me feel very welcome as a solo diner/traveler. I like it here and definitely not in a huge hurry to take off. I could hang out at this place for awhile. Rated 4 stars just because they charged 2 bucks for a side of hot sauce. Otherwise it was great.

Interior, very eclectic decoration, great people watching!

Unfortunately things have gotten worse. Coffee is still good but the food (breakfast) went further downhill and the place is so dingy and groady now. It needs a deep clean really bad! Stickiness and dust and grime everywhere, gross! And don't get me started on the politics, yikes.

My love's 50th birthday!!! Thank YOU

I guess everyone has a bad night now and then. Clearly our server was in that mode. Just sort of a dowered look on her face and no warmth or personal touch. The drop in food quality is the real problem. I had the grilled fish sandwich (last two times there) and was bummed at how over cooked it was. The time before I had to send it back because it was like a tennis shoe sole. I even asked that it not be over cooked when I first ordered. Yikes!!! Pizza sauce was very thick and tomato pasty (canned?) At least the crust was good. I'm a big fan of Merriman's, but this branch is not anything like the original Wailea restaurant. Somebody in management needs to wake up and get involved. Customers shouldn't be taken for granted. For now, go to Aloha Grill.

And the best rice with furikake, and then some pretty good macaroni salad? Only here as far as I know? Definitely not where I live in San Diego. The tuna was just as amazing as I remembered. It's easy to walk into the beach bar. And I liked the strawberry salad again, although the strawberries themselves were not that great. The salad is full of fat (nuts, goat cheese, and dressing), but the local lettuce is really good and overall it's a very tasty salad. And you can avoid the fat by getting the dressing on the side and eating around the goat cheese and not eating all the nuts. I was a little disappointed with my 1944 cocktail. It was definitely strong in alcohol content, but the flavor was super muted compared to last time. Decided to order the hula pie because we had a discount card giving us a free one with two entrees, which we had bought anyway. It's a hulking dessert that might be crowd pleasing with a table of kids. It's much too much for one or two people, and not that interesting. I liked the chocolate sauce and the nuts, and that's all I ate. They have this at all of their restaurants, but I wouldn't pay to order it. Anyway, it was a little disappointing after it was one of my top two meals on the last trip. And the hurricane ahi is a must order. but once was enough for this trip!

Upon check in, we were greeted immediately and notified our table would be ready shortly. After being seated our server (Dara) approached us and took our drinks and food orders promptly. I ordered a local draft beer, it came out warm and pretty flat. We did mention it to staff and they allowed me to select another beer off their menu, which was appreciated. The food... mid, I got the ribs and "huli huli chicken" (if you can even call it that). The chicken was not like any kind of huli huli chicken I've ever had, and should definitely be renamed on the menu. Chicken was a very dry piece of grilled chicken breast, with bbq sauce on top. I took 1 bite of it. The ribs were decent enough, nothing fancy, but not bad either. This place is definitely overpriced, for a slightly better price point I would recommend Monkey Pod, it's worth the wait.

It wasn't fresh calamari, but rather fried calamari strips that seemed like the type that come frozen in a bag. The bruschetta wasn't really bruschetta either. However, as he is now a mid aged teenager and with a developed pallet, we decided to take him. We are from San Francisco so he has grown up going to many fancy restaurants however, in Maui, we tend to be pretty casual and chill. I got on my OpenTable and plugged in our interest because nothing was available the entire 10 days we were there. A few days and I got a ping that a 4 o'clock three top in the bar was available. I snagged it and I'm so happy I did so! Turns out we were right within their happy hour offering so we gladly took advantage and ordered everything off the menu in addition to other items later. The shrimp was incredible the hummus, unique and delicious the pork quesadilla on the rich side, but a nice accompaniment to our appetizer stage of the experience, we got the truffle fries, and as with any truffle fries I've ever had. The highlight of our experience was our amazing waiter named Dylan, a young man with a polished and professional and friendly approach.
