2/8/24 10am: Upon our visit to jealous fork we were met with flat dense dry pancakes. Unfortunately, one of the owners (brown hair) was lashing out at his employees for serving raw pancakes. We were sat right near the kitchen and could hear clearly this owner being rude to his staff, multiple times, asking them if the word wait was in their vocabulary. He was very rude to them especially the bar staff, so rude to the point I almost felt the need to stick up for them. As our pancakes were served we were disappointed to find them not fluffy at all but instead short, dense, and dry. Not sure if this was an over correction due to the raw incident? Overall the venue is small, cramped, and the owner is terrifyingly uninviting to customers and rude to his staff. Would not recommend even if the pancakes were fluffy as the owner seems like a tyrant. I feel bad for his employees. IHOP is right next door I would rather take my business there. read more

We were in town to see the Brewers at lay the Marlins and saw their Yelp site. The Banana & Walnut pancakes and the Spindle Bacon were awesome. After years of wanting to try Jealous Fork, I was finally able to and the pancakes were every bit as amazing as I'd dreamed! My partner and I split the lemon curd blueberry and pork bahn mi, and they were DELECTABLE. The pancakes were so tall, soft, and fluffy, like perfect tasting clouds. The flavors of the bahn mi were on point with the classic Vietnamese sandwich, and the lemon curd blueberry was simultaneously sweet and tangy. They were so addicting, I'm salivating just thinking about them. The egg yolk jar with sweet potato was a cool dish that was my husband's favorite since he's a big egg guy. I don't love eggs, but even I enjoyed it. Oh, and the sweet potato latte was perfect for the cool rainy day that we went. It had a subtle flavor without being overly sweet. I'd definitely return and recommend to everyone! Be prepared to wait for a bit if you go on a weekend. This place encapsulates a success story in the food restaurant scene. A Small restaurant in west Kendall area serving up one of the best pancakes ranked in the nation (is that my opinion? Or a fact? I believe it, and it turns out to be true too!). They found the balance between fluffy and something that holds its own structurally. Everything we had was balanced perfectly in flavors and nothing was "too rich" even though I thought some might be, I stand corrected. The drinks are all fresh and flavorful and just all done at a high level of care and service. Speaking of service, man do these folks make you feel welcome. Now let me explain... The strawberry cheesecake is what it is, but the chicken thigh high is another story. You look at the description & you're perplexed. It is sweet & savory. The pancake itself has corn grilled into it, it's topped with shredded chicken, black bean salsa, chipotle crème & cilantro & let me tell you it's absolutely amazing. The blueberry & lemon curd pancake I had also like the strawberry cheesecake is pretty self explanatory. This restaurant had me with mixed feelings. The atmosphere was extremely exciting with a lovely waitress, she had the menu and recommended down to a science. The food is where my mixed feeling kick in, although it's known as a "breakfast or Brunch" spot, I couldn't care less out their breakfast options. The pancakes are too doughy for my liking, however,others in my table loved them. I did try a couple and did not find one I truly favored. I had been tracking this place back when it was still a food truck and unfortunately they were closed for a while when I was in Miami. Luckily I was able to eventually catch them when they now had an actual restaurant. First Visit: I came on a Thursday afternoon. I ordered the traditional pancakes and they were 10/10. Hot, Fluffy, Crisp layer, and full of maximum flavor. The pancakes were in a pool of maple yet never soggy. The Brown Sugar Bacon was hot, spicy and just perfect. My only gripe was the wait time (25 mins) despite being 1 of 3 customers present. I enjoyed this meal so much that I just had to come back 2 days later... Second Visit: I came on a Saturday afternoon in the same week. I ordered the same meal as before. Not only were the pancakes smaller in size, but they were lukewarm in temperature. The server offered to microwave it. Lol. They did not look anything like what I had just 2 days ago. They looked rushed and sad. The bacon was cold and had to be sent back/re-heated. I'm not sure if it was because the place was packed but I'm not a fan of a place that can't produce a consistence product and experience, especially when you have to drive 40 mins to get there. Ok so I have to say what an amazing experience from start to finish. The hostess was super friendly and helpful. Our waitress Olivia was great super patient for our big table. She had great knowledge of the menu and just all around great person. And it's by no surprise when one of the owners Joaquin leads by example. They help you pick out from the few but uber amazing choices. And make sure you ask about the special, they have a rotating special flavor that is not on the menu. We had the traditional... with butter and real maple syrup, the pancakes were fluffy and perfect. If you love peanut butter this is a perfect for you. The lemon blueberry weren't bad at all I just found them to be a bit lemon zesty and the blueberry compote was on point. The pancake itself was very soft, cakey and moist very delicious. Now my only complaint is that I wanted to order more pancakes but they told Me they stop taking orders due to having too many. Imagine I had gotten there a bit later and I was told That I couldn't order pancakes which is their main highlight. Where do I begin? Everything I had was amazing. The hot chocolate gave a rich cocoa flavor without being overly sweetened. The bacon was fried to a crisp perfection. Those strawberry cheesecake pancakes were so delicious. It was light and airy not too sweet and the fresh strawberries topped it perfectly. Clean, modern, and apparently very popular. The Jealous Fork definitely left me wanting to come back to the establishment to enjoy another satisfying meal. I had the peanut butter and Reese's pancakes which were outstanding and arguably some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Now I may be a bit biased because Reese's peanut butter cups and pancakes are a winning combination in my eyes. The brown sugar bacon was absolutely mouthwatering with sweet and spicy notes truly a great part of the meal. My fiancé had the chicken thigh pancakes which had hints of sweet and savory and were a surprising yet tasty combination. The service was outstanding, the server was knowledgeable and helpful in making suggestions on what to drink. Side note: the Banana beer was actually very refreshing and smooth. I wish the lemon curd and blueberry pancakes weren't as good as they are because I just have to keep on ordering these whenever I go. Their candied bacon is so yummy. Although anyone interested in going needs to know that this is a food truck serving super thick fluffy pancakes. There's no actual shop but they are working on trying to get a place which is super cool! I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake and not only does it look beautiful but it tastes even better. It's topped with strawberry jam, whipped cream and graham crackers. This is basically the breakfast of champions!! Highly recommend trying it out if you're ever in the Miami area.
