Wow, this was my first time at Grams and I feel like I struck gold! What an awesome breakfast spot…read more There really aren't a lot of great breakfast places in the area, so I was thrilled to find this one. The food was delicious. I had the vegetable omelette and absolutely loved it. You'd think an omelette would be hard to mess up, but I've definitely had some disappointing ones before -- this one was flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. They also offer call-ahead seating, which I highly recommend. We called on our way there and were seated immediately upon arrival. The service was outstanding. Everyone works together as a team, so we had different people taking our order, bringing out food, and checking on us throughout the meal. It made for such a smooth and welcoming experience. I definitely recommend stopping by Grams if you're looking for a really great breakfast spot!

They try to turn tables over quickly so don't expect the wait staff to be patient with you. Most of the wait staff are in their late teens and have not fully mastered the art of etiquette yet. Our food came out relatively quickly and all but one dish came out at the same time. My daughter's pancakes came out about 5 minutes after our food. Not horrible. The waitress did not check on us one time but one of the other wait staff came and refilled our coffee. The food all came out exactly as ordered and tasted great. Although they told us to take our time originally they seemed to want to rush us out. As is normal, one of the wait staff came over and asked if they could take any dishes that we were done with. This doesn't bother me at all as it declutters the table. Unfortunately, one of the people in our party didn't appreciate the wait staff reaching across her to grab a plate. They also bring you the receipt to the table so you can pay and then if you don't pay fast enough they bring an iPad to the table. Overall I had a fine experience. The food was good, the wait staff was adequate and the price was not crazy. For five meals, a $5 orange juice that someone ordered that they didn't like, one cold brew and two regular coffees came to $124 with a 20% tip.

I have so many friends from Harrisburg and Philadelphia always telling me how I am absolutely crazy…read morefor moving north of Selinsgrove... and then I discovered and found my place in Lewisburg. The only thing that would have made that near perfect was somewhere like Parc of Philadelphia where I could get fresh bakery bread in addition to a macaron and a perfect cappuccino. And then... just like that, Paris Bakery arrived. For those further north of the Susquehanna, it's a bit on the order of Matern's Flower Cafe in Kingston, though I'm thrilled the owner (trained in France and Indonesia) has considered somewhere more Central right in downtown Lewisburg... especially as its open on weekends. The croissants are fabulous, even better than my Harrisburg Market days when I longed for fresh ones from Raising the Bar. These aren't just butter or pain de chocolate, but fruit filled and there's even an edible gold one. They also have their own... fresh hot and iced espresso bar with non dairy milk options. Even my church meets here sometimes for Bible Study! Oh, and there's a Shakespeare Rd nearby up the road! It's definitely about perspective and style. A refreshing and delight, I truly look forward to more Parisian experiences sans the passport or EZPass refill. Thank you!

Paris Bakery was proudly pink and impressive with its oversized pastries…read more I was overwhelmed by the generous collection of baked goods on display. Interestingly, the quiches were arranged on the counter without any casing, yet they still looked divine. Because many of the pastries were wide and tall, the boxes could not securely contain them. I would reconsider how orders are assembled since my box arrived partially open. The quiches could be reheated, although I wished they had been a bit toastier. *Strawberry Croissant: had a vibrant red exterior. The croissant itself was flaky and filled with strawberry cream and jam. It was my favorite item from my order. The strawberry flavor was intense and the thick cream helped balance the sweetness. The ratio of pastry to filling was ideal. *Raspberry Croissant: heavier on fruit rather than cream, which I preferred. The fresh raspberry on top was naturally sweet and the jam had a pleasant tartness that made it feel more balanced. *Passionfruit Croissant: looked more impressive than it tasted. It was less filled than the others, so it resembled a classic croissant with a single layer of thick cream. The cream was extremely dense and did not blend well with the pastry. The flavor did not resemble passionfruit and came across as overly sweet and floral. I was unable to finish it. *Mushroom Quiche: the mushrooms were cooked well, but the egg filling was under seasoned. The filling was not completely set and had a drippy consistency. I wished more onions had been mixed into the eggs. The crust was tasty and buttery, but it could not save the mediocre filling. *Rose Latte: fragrant drink with strong rose notes from the petals on top. It was not overly milky and the floral flavors came through nicely. *Fruit Tart: had a mixed berry topping over vanilla cream with a shortcake base. The shortcake was buttery and dense. The cream was again the least impressive component. The berries were sweet and plump, but the shortcake was substantial on its own. I would have preferred a fruit based filling rather than cream. Overall, I would stick to the berry items since they seemed the most balanced. The cream was not to my taste due to its chalky consistency and pasty mouthfeel. The pastries were enormous and were best enjoyed when shared.

We were visiting friends in Milton, actually the guy I went through Marine Corps boot camp in 1965…read more Lots of conversation that led to dinner. Our friends suggested Arrowhead nearby, good food and also full of memories in the youth. We arrived around 6:30 PM and were seated right away. Our server, Maddie, brought drinks and menus. Their specials of the night were Pot Pies and Tacos. I ordered the Broccoli Cheese Balls and Cheesesreak Eggrolls to share. Both of which were new to me. After looking over the menus, our friends chose a fish sandwich for her and Taco Pie for him. My wife picked a Chef's Salad. I was considering a Chicken Pot Pie but decided instead on a Taco Pie instead. Our appetizers came hot and crispy. I tried a Broccoli Cheese Ball and it was fantastic! Then I tried the Cheesesteak Eggroll. Tasty but no comparison to the other appetizer. Our dinners came fairly quickly. My wife really enjoyed her salad, chilly, crisp and delicious with plenty of meats. The Taco Pie was huge, with a shell made in-house that was still hot from fryer. The pie itself was tasty but unremarkable. Beef was a bit bland and little refried beans. Plus only a very mild salsa with only Tabasco for heat. Our friends seemed to enjoy their meals, but gave no ratings good or bad. If you go there, absolutely try the appetizers, which were great.
