I have purchased many vehicles over the years, and my experience with Jeff Haas Mazda was by far the worst I have ever encountered. As a result, they have permanently lost me as a customer. This dealership consistently demonstrated dishonesty in both the information it provided and the pricing tactics it used. Their approach shows a complete lack of respect for customers and relies on the assumption that people won't notice or question the hidden fees they attempt to slip into the transaction. Even worse, there is absolutely no transparency or documentation to support these fees -- no receipts, no terms and conditions, no explanations. When questioned, the sales team either cannot articulate what the fees are for or provides vague, nonsensical answers. For example, they could not provide a single piece of documentation explaining the terms of their $2,500 warranty program, which is completely unacceptable. Their behavior reflects a dealership with no integrity. They treat customers as nothing more than a source of revenue and make it clear through their actions that they do not value long-term relationships. Their only priority is extracting as much money as possible through misleading and dishonest tactics, including website pricing that does not match the actual price presented in person. I approached the sales engagement with honesty and was met with deceit. The moment they have your money, you no longer matter to them. Their lack of transparency, refusal to provide clear information, and willingness to push hidden fees is alarming and unethical. What needs to change? * Educate your sales team. Your sales team should understand the products they are selling, including warranties, protection plans, program requirements, etc.. Right now, they cannot explain even the basics. * Be transparent and upfront. Clearly communicate the actual vehicle price, all fees, warranties, etc. Stop relying on customers not noticing discrepancies between your advertised pricing and what you present in person. * Stop trying to take advantage of customers. If the price changes, be honest about it. Don't try to capitalize on the fact that your customer may not have noticed the change. * Learn how to handle customer concerns. When issues arise, listen instead of deflecting. During my experience, two different managers refused to take responsibility and instead redirected blame to their team. This lack of accountability reflects poorly on the entire dealership. A little goodwill would have gone a long way. This dealership failed at every level -- honesty, transparency, customer service, and basic professionalism. When confronted with their deceptive practices, they chose to deflect rather than make things right. I have never seen this level of deception or such poor judgment from a management team or dealership as a whole. I will never do business with Jeff Haas Mazda again, and I strongly encourage others to consider this experience before spending their time or money here. read more

Walked in for a car listed at a "no haggle" price of $23,998, but once TTL and a $2,500 recon fee, and another package price added, they brought the total to $30,000. They said they were willing to work with us on the price, and we told them we were ready to buy the car that day if they would just keep it to the price of the car plus TTL, without the recon fee so $25-26, since that should already be built into the price. Edit: Sam the manager called back and there was a misunderstanding between us and finance, and we were able to walk away with the car at the price plus TTL, yaaaaay! Decided I wanted to buy it and the cost was now around $40K, ok I'll offer midway. Got accepted and now it's time to finance, so I know my credit and ballpark. Finance manager hits me with +3% what I should be paying for APR with excellent credit. I let him know my range and he states he doesn't need to check they are the best and keeps pointing to monthly payments so I figured it's fine I'll refinance. I let him know I only need GAP and the lowest APR. I walk out and a week later I see my loan for $6K above agreed price for the vehicle. They don't care about the bottom line price they want to tack on payments. Be careful with them!!! read more

As new Texas residents, we have some car errands to transfer our vehicles. I knew why my check engine light was on and expected that my car was going to be in the shop for a few days. I dropped my vehicle off at Jeff Haas Mazda on May 4. I wasn't provided a loaner car because there wasn't one available. Weird. I received a call back in a couple of days to tell me I can pick up a loaner car bc the work is going to take a little longer. Every 3 days or so my partner is calling to find out what is going on and we are always left leaving a voicemail that does not get returned. We finally get a text/video update on May 12 from the mechanic. After 2 weeks, the car is finally being diagnosed and we get a list of work to approve or decline. Almost 4 days later, we called back to find out they were still waiting on parts for my car. I'm not sure why all the parts are not ordered when the work is approved. Finally I get a text on May 26th that my car is ready for pick up. When I get there, we are told that was an error because they are still waiting for parts for a recall. While I appreciate the fact they checked my car for recalls, this should have been done during diagnostics. I was told my car would be ready by the next Tuesday. And here we are today! The rep who has been our main point of contact was not there, leaving another rep as the middle man between our last communications. After paying thousands of dollars in work, it would have been nice if they would have returned my car washed at the very least (I was told it would be test driven and washed. I also am accustomed to receiving a sticker on my windshield noting the mileage at the time of service which was not included. The service here seems very inefficient and the customer service is very lacking. It all makes for a tremendously negative customer experience. read more

Had I know that this dealership was going to "fail" my inspection, I would have just gone where I normally had gone- the ONLY reason I had decided to go to this location is because the other dealership up had upset me, but hey, it is what it is. I have realized that dealerships are dealerships which tells me that they are all created equal. To be on a more fair basis, this location is not exactly terrible, but this location is quite trivial when it comes to simple window tint in order to pass a simple inspection, but I know not to come here again for another inspection. Booked a 7am service appointment and showed up then. Standard service took over 3 hours to perform (which is crazy long considering no major repairs were performed). The service also cost over $500, which was odd to me being used to service costs for Toyota's being much, much less for a comparable standard inspection/multi point. Took a long, long time and half of your day. Unexpected for me but be prepared to shell out a pretty penny for a Mazda service. read more

The salesman ask me if I was going to register it in Texas and I said no and he said we have a policy that we don't sell to out of state residents. I was completely taken back and he went and talked the manager. He came back and they said no. the salesman was very nice and told me to go to Joe Myers Mazda and they would sell me a car. On the way to Joe Myers I called Mazda USA and filed a complaint. Mazda USA told me that was not how they do business and would be in contact with me in 24-48 hours. I went in looking for something safer to drive in than my old rust mobile. Younghi helped me find my Mazda CX-30 and explained everything very thoroughly to where I was able to understand how to connect my carplay, and adjust my seats, etc., that I was not able to do in my Ford very simply. The CX-30 is very comfortable in the way it drives and how the spacing (?) is not very drastically large but also not too compact. I am not very a large person so its nice to feel comfortable for once without all the extra unnecessary room. Highly recommend, especially for parents of human and fur babies, it is very easy to clean my seats and such as well where as in my previous car it was difficult to clean. So refreshing. 10/10. The other feature I personally really enjoy is how sleek it looks. I got mine in a bright red and I am very excited about it. I have never had a red car before. How exhilarating. If you go to get a CX-30, or any other safe feeling vehicle, I highly recommend asking for Younghi. She seems to know exactly what she is talking about. read more

My son and I have been going round and round with them for adding things to the contract that have no paperwork which constitutes fraud. they do not respond to emails or phone calls. You actually have to go down there and scene for them to take you seriously. They were not going to honor the warranty on the car or the extended warranty that we bought. After making a stink about it they finally did but then charged us $1200 for things that were supposed to be covered under warranty. I was incensed when the salesman brought me the deal sheet that was totally different than what was agreed to online. To add insult to injury I was low balled on my trade. They offered $5k below CarMax and Carvana. When I told the salesman that I would not pay a the reconditioning fee nor did I want the "protection" plan, he told me that I clearly didn't understand the value of the plan. I asked for the keys to my trade and he walked away saying he needed to speak to his manager. Ten minutes later he came back with an equally ridiculous counter offer. I insisted he return my key. He reached in his pocket where the key had been the entire time. I've never before been held hostage by a car dealer. I took my vehicle in to get a repair done on my infotainment. First of all, 2 Jeff Haas employees indicated this was not covered even though I received a settlement letter indicated it was covered. Additionally, I researched the issue with the infotainment system on select Mazdas & confirmed this was a confirmed issue with many Mazda vehicle owners included in the lawsuit which was settled with Mazda not admitting to any fault but paying millions for it. I have submitted a claim form for reimbursement. My 2nd issue with Jeff Haas is I had to pay $722 for the infotainment repair, not realizing (my own fault), not reading the small placard on the window prior to entering which also included a "surcharge" of 3% if a credit card is used for payment. Highway robbery at its finest!!!! You can imagine how much in this surcharge they are making off of their loyal customers who pay quite a bit on major repairs. Needless to say, I dislike the dishonesty & shyster approach displayed at Jeff Haas Mazda. read more

I had a terrific experience buying a new/used car from Mohamad Rahal recently at Jeff Haas Mazda, 16711 Katy Freeway, Houston TX 77094. I had just been burned by two other dealerships that did not hold the car for me until I got to their dealerships to negotiate a purchase of the car I wanted to buy - the 1st dealership I called I said I would be there in +/- 3 hours and the 2nd dealership I called I said I will be there in +/- 20 minutes. When I arrived at both dealerships they both told me they have "bad news and good news". The bad news is they just sold the car I asked them to hold me and the good news is they can sell me another car - at both of these dealerships they were young inexperienced salesman. Mohomad is an experienced professional and has been in the car industry for decades and does business "the old fashioned way". Mohamed held the car for me I wanted to buy until I got all my financing in order to pay cash for the car. Mohamed clearly explained each line item on the "Vehicle Buyer's Order" and also the additional lifetime engine warranty I purchased. Well, to explain my review here, I traded in my Honda HRV that belonged to my wife for a same year Mazda 2018 M3. After a week's purchase, notice that the radio had some kind of problem with the transmitting radial sound that kept getting faded as you were turning the wheel or stopping. I took it to service, and they couldn't figure out exactly what was costing us, so I had to make a second appointment. My advisor Cindy and service was very kind, very professional, but I don't hold these issues against her. On the second appointment, they did figure out that there was a setting that was off on the radio, and it was finally fixed. I am a repeat customer. in the market for an used car went to this dealership that had a CX5 listed for $18.8K, after 7 hours of telling us that they were working the paperwork and keeping us waiting for a discount they led us to believe we were getting, they said the car cost was the listed plus a "recon" package of around $2.4k so basically lied the whole time about the true cost of the car to then distract us with the monthly payments. E and C wasted our entire day and the used car manager basically told me they add the extra cost and is how they sell cars whether i like it or not and it was fine if i did not buy te car after i discovered the extra charges. Car shopping is stressful. I swear I won't do it again for another 10 years but I will say Jeff haas made it survivable. Cecil was great as a salesperson. There were no guilt trips or pushiness, just facts and options which was nice. It got a little sticky when it came to meeting with the lender. He was very passionate about the maintenance plan he wanted me to buy and wasn't hearing my 'no thanks' very well but I'm sure that's what makes him good at his job. I will say it took about twice as long as I thought it would. I haven't bought a new car for a while so I was thinking 2 hours or so but I ended up being there for 5 hours even though I knew exactly what I went to look at so budget for that. read more
