Just WOW! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were able to snag a reservation for three at 5:30 at the bar but when we got there, it was such a nice day outside and we kindly asked if we could sit outside and the staff was super kind and got us a nice table outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And then we were pushing our luck and asked our waiter if we could still do the happy hour menu considering it was 5:29 when we sat down and again the staff was super kind and accommodating and got us our happy hour drinks. We paired that with the Caesar salad, the crab dip and the fish and chips which is a must in my opinion. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for a popping summer spot, look no further![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I haven't been to Jeffrey's Grocery in years and it is still as good as I remember. I was able to get a Saturday night reservation and the place was packed both inside and outside. We started with a couple glasses of wine and Le Duchess seafood plateau. It came with oysters, shrimp, clams, smoked mussels, and albacore conserva to share for two people. The smoked mussels were my favorite, but the whole platter was great. We also split the mussels and lobster spaghetti. The spaghetti came with a good amount of lobster meat mixed in the tomato sauce. The mussels were so flavorful in the broth. I'll definitely be back soon, especially on a nice summer day.

I had a weekday dinner reservation here and loved my experience! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The weather was nice so there were plenty of people sitting outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had a table indoors right by the window so it was perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is nautical themed which was a nice touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter was hilarious and we loved his vibe. Service was attentive and quick. My group ordered a bunch of things to share. Oysters: 8/10 so fresh! Crab dip and whitefish dip: 8/10 Honestly they felt pretty similar to me, I'd just get one next time. But both were delicious and creamy Tuna tartare: 8.5/10 this is served with the house potato chip which was a delicious combination. Light and refreshing Lobster roll: 8/10 this wasn't too heavy which I appreciated. Good amount of lobster. We got one with the potato chips and one with the fries, but I'd just get the fries next time The cocktails we got were also very good. I can't remember the name of the one I got, but it had tequila, coconut, and soursop and it was incredible! I enjoyed this visit and would come back.

From a happy hour perspective, this place is absolutely delicious, with oysters price at $1.50, you cannot complain. I was absolutely happy with the overall oyster experience, had to order two dozen. You have to wait exactly until the happy hour time hits, you cannot be seen before to benefit from the happy hour pricing. I was a bit confused because the wine was $10 but I was pointed to the $10 section anyway so there is nothing happy about that. However, I was so happy about the discounted oysters. It was delicious overall. The service was pretty good, it can get pretty busy, in the kitchen is small, so it is recommended that you just order everything upfront. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This didn't take away from the whole New York City experience, where you absolutely have to sit outside, and enjoy the street view of the west side.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Absolutely enjoyed my experience here and still dream of those oysters.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great restaurant for an imitate dinner![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior js dark and moody with a classy dive bar feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are known for seafood, and the seafood tower did not disappoint. Service was friendly and warm. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time, because there were no empty tables. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also, I absolutely loved the decor behind the bar area seating, and if you didn't make a reservation, try to scan for open seating here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And if you've watched the Materialists, you can see the outside of this restaurant in the opening scene :)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Jeffrey's is a quaint restaurant with a lively atmosphere. Was seated promptly and server was informative on specials. Ordered the tuna tartare appetizer, le prince seafood, and the lobster roll with fries. They have an extensive drinks list as well. The tuna came first, and this was one of my favorites. Nice temperature dipped with chips. Chips are also good alone. The seafood dish I ordered came with 10 oysters, 4 little neck clams, 4 shrimp and a crab salad. It was okay, don't think I would order it again. There wasn't one thing that stood out on there. Lobster roll came with fries but it is extra. It was hot, and buttery. It is pricey here but you do get what you pay for. Nice to try if you are in the area and have a reservation or be prepared to wait or sit at the bar seats which are limited.

Perfect for seafood lovers. The true highlight here is the staff. The restaurant was running behind and the manager, Natalie was kind enough to cover the first round. I ordered the Velvet Island (vacation in a class). We ordered the Le Prince to share-loved the oysters and shrimp cocktail, could have done without the clams and crab salad(lacked flavor). For our mains, we got the lobster spaghetti, lobster roll and steak frites. My friends really enjoyed their mains. Again the lobster roll was just okay. Natalie was kind enough to off the Caesar salad and it was delicious. I'd def get that and the shrimp cocktail again. I want to go back for brunch.

Made a reservation on open table for this restaurant. Our server was great. Good food, the chef even went out of his way to get Tabasco for my husband for the oysters. We also got Cesar salad and lobster roll. The lobster roll probably would have been better with heated bread. I was impressed that the Cesar salad was a high degree of lettuce I think young kale. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute place with limited seating there is outside but nobody was wanting to sit there as it was so cold the day we visited.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tip make a reservation on open table because there is very limited seating inside, they do have a covered patio and uncovered patio as well

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute seafood forward spot in the village.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got a bunch of stuff to share including the oysters, shrimp cocktail, salad, lobster roll and crab dip. The 2 must try for me would be the shrimp cocktail and crab dip!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is so cool - what a neat place with excellent seafood, great wine list and even better 80s music!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great time and wonderful food

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A cute spot for a seafood brunch tucked away in West Village -- they have a ton of great outdoor seating, waiters were very nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Breakfast Platter was delicious -- super fresh, tons of variety, good to split if you like to sample a ton of things. Pacific Oysters were yummy! Obligatory pancakes for the table were great too. I'd definitely come back!

Stopped in for lunch on my daughter's recommendation of places to eat while visiting NYC. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a very small and quaint location on the corner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Really nice inside and my server was Roden and he did an excellent job! I ordered the lobster roll which I was told is a house favorite. I also added the French fries for $4 and I'm glad I did. Lobster roll was a good size portion and was very tasty. The fries were light and crispy. An absolute perfect combination!

Excellent little spot in the west village. Had to wait for a table but it was only 15 minutes. While this is a seafood heavy place they have a few vegetarian options. I mostly just wanted a martini and my friend wanted oysters. She said the oysters were delicious! I got the kale Caesar and some fries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the setting outside and the staff were some of the friendliest![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It ended up being a nice spot for a casual catch-up, though with a few mixed impressions. The space itself is cute and very much feels like a neighborhood bar. One of the things we liked most was that they have games available--we ended up playing Scrabble while waiting for our friend to arrive, which made the time go by quickly and added to the relaxed vibe. Happy hour prices are solid, and the fried pickles we shared were decent. I also had a watermelon cocktail that was refreshing and perfectly fine, if not particularly memorable. Service was a bit inconsistent. The bartender wasn't very warm or welcoming to us initially, though that changed once our friend--who is a regular--arrived. Overall, it's a comfortable spot to meet friends and hang out for a few hours, especially on a weekday like Thursday. That said, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return, but I can see why it works well as a local neighborhood hang.

Which is fine in my opinion because they have live jazz and I love that. I also love a bar with an activity outside of just drinking. Some pros: so many games and pool tables and live jazz and decent beer Some cons: not many seats, long waits for the pool/ping pong/foosball tables on a weekend, loud (not a place to get to know someone I'd say) Overall it's definitely ~cool~. The crowd looked to be a lot of NYU students/20somethjngs in tech or whatever living their best city life. Not the vibe for all, but definitely the vibe for some.

It's actually a legacy spot in disguise. This basement used to house Fat Cat, a longtime West Village institution that shut down right before the pandemic, and before that the room itself was a bowling alley, tucked into a 1932 Art Deco building a few steps from Stonewall. Drink selection isn't the draw here, don't come expecting a deep cocktail list. Crowd skews heavily undergrad, and the place is loud, so it's not the spot for an intimate one-on-one or a real group conversation. It's built for a different kind of hang: elbow your way to a table, keep your hands busy, let the noise do the rest. There's also live jazz most nights, which adds a nice layer if you catch it at the right time. Neat place, just know what you're walking into.

As for food, there were some true hits but most of the food was good but basic. The highlights for me were the wild mushrooms & rice cakes as well as the Caesar salad - loved the use of nori in the salad and would definitely come back for the mushrooms. The chicken cutlet and chicken dumplings were fine but I probably wouldn't order them again. The wait staff weren't super attentive nor super warm, but they were efficient when we asked for water refills, etc. There was ample standing room at the bar while we waited for our friends, but the table/booth that we sat at was super narrow, I was knocking knees with my friend all night and generally felt squished.

It even came off like we were bothering our server when asking for basic things. The food was subpar. Didn't try the drinks. Maybe that's the savior? -Tuna tartare acceptable; nothing to write home about -Chicken dumplings tasted like chicken but had no bite to it. Weird and served on paper that resembled a crumpled receipt or used tissue. -Chicken cutlet was warm and soggy. No truffle flavor as advertised on the menu. Some creativity points for the accompanying foam dip but it didn't work. -Beef short rib was tasty but the single potato that come with it felt insulting and cheap. Really? One potato? -Pecan pie dessert and sorbet were really good. Sad way to finish, only enjoying the final course. Ambiance was good. Floors were super slippery because they were tiled on a snowy day. They should warn their guests about that. Lots of work to be done here and I will not be around to see it through!

If I could give 100 stars I would!…read more My 14yr old with my taste for dinning found this place online and fell in love. I couldn't say no to his request for this being his birthday dinner. I made the reservation for 4:15 PM, I didn't want to risk not getting one of those cheeseburgers. It's all he talked about. We left me with plenty of time to get there walk around the city go to dinner and then head to the next stop. TRAFFIC!! Awful, terrible, dream crushing traffic! It was bumper-to-bumper almost immediately getting out of Maine. I'm staring at the clock, watching the arrival time get later and later and my son's face go further and further from the glowing smile it had started with. I try to call the restaurant, knowing no one would be there to answer. They didn't open till 4 o'clock, and it was 10 AM. I have my husband sent an email saying that we might be late. Then traffic starts to clear up and it says we're gonna arrive in New York around 245. Awesome! No traffic picks up again and it goes back to 6 PM. We finally get a call from the restaurant, they moved things around and offered us a reservation at 5:25pm, but it was the best they could do. Their best was enough, we made it there by 5:15. Thanks to the amazing staff at sip and guzzle, my son was able to have his birthday dinner at the place he'd been dreaming about for months. Mackenzie and Kamila greeted us at the door, we had spoken to Kamila on the phone and she was just as wonderful in person. She led us to a nice corner booth where we weren't all crammed in and left us in the hands of our server, Angie. Unfortunately, they were sold out of cheeseburgers. They only make a minimal amount a day, but we made up for it other places. We ordered the highlight reel. MOCHI FRIES Creative, crispy and unique, the nacho powder dip is an interesting touch, I preferred it without. SPICY TUNA was disappointing, we were told to alternate side because one was meant to be sticky rice the other tuna. Enjoyed as instructed but unfortunately the ratio of rice to tuna was probably 70/30. Two small bites of rice and then all tuna. Mine being the second bite I didn't really get the experience. Very tasty otherwise PORK YAKI 30-layer skewer with koji floss Very good, perfect combination of sweet, savory and salty. Delicious! Anything wrapped in cotton candy has my inner child's full attention. We ordered four more to go. BIKINI world's thinnest sandwich, comté ganache, 5j jamon. This was ridiculous, salty, creamy, crispy. All ingredients were evenly distributed across the sandwich. Every bite was perfect. FOIE GRAS MONT BLANC Foie gras on top of soft pillowy toast, this is a plate you should be eating in private. It's absurd. SHRIMP TOAST fried shokupan stuffed with royal red shrimp and lobster This was strange, it wasn't bad, wasn't amazing. The first taste and smell was soapy, like fancy soap. The texture is amazing. It almost had an herb chicken salad flavor. Definitely interesting and worth the bite. ELECTRIC CHICKEN hot and crispy This was FUN!! The presentation, the flavor. It really hit upfront with scechuam pepper. Szechuan pepper is more a feeling than a taste and really elevates the experience. If you've never had Szechuan pepper this is a good place to start your adventure with it. This came out with their addictive cabbage, not by request, it just happened that way. So obviously I wanted to see if they were friends, they are, bites together suggested. ROYALE WITH CHEESE a5 wagyu Yes we ordered $150 sandwich, shamelessly. If this is the only thing you can get, get it! It comes with sour house made pickles. I suggest being careful with those, there's no need to overpower the flavor of what is already here.
