From a happy hour perspective, this place is absolutely delicious, with oysters price at $1.50, you cannot complain. I was absolutely happy with the overall oyster experience, had to order two dozen. You have to wait exactly until the happy hour time hits, you cannot be seen before to benefit from the happy hour pricing. I was a bit confused because the wine was $10 but I was pointed to the $10 section anyway so there is nothing happy about that. However, I was so happy about the discounted oysters. It was delicious overall. The service was pretty good, it can get pretty busy, in the kitchen is small, so it is recommended that you just order everything upfront. This didn't take away from the whole New York City experience, where you absolutely have to sit outside, and enjoy the street view of the west side. Absolutely enjoyed my experience here and still dream of those oysters.

This is a great restaurant for an imitate dinner! The interior js dark and moody with a classy dive bar feel. They are known for seafood, and the seafood tower did not disappoint. Service was friendly and warm. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time, because there were no empty tables. Also, I absolutely loved the decor behind the bar area seating, and if you didn't make a reservation, try to scan for open seating here. And if you've watched the Materialists, you can see the outside of this restaurant in the opening scene :)

Perfect for seafood lovers. The true highlight here is the staff. The restaurant was running behind and the manager, Natalie was kind enough to cover the first round. I ordered the Velvet Island (vacation in a class). We ordered the Le Prince to share-loved the oysters and shrimp cocktail, could have done without the clams and crab salad(lacked flavor). For our mains, we got the lobster spaghetti, lobster roll and steak frites. My friends really enjoyed their mains. Again the lobster roll was just okay. Natalie was kind enough to off the Caesar salad and it was delicious. I'd def get that and the shrimp cocktail again. I want to go back for brunch.

Jeffrey's is a quaint restaurant with a lively atmosphere. Was seated promptly and server was informative on specials. Ordered the tuna tartare appetizer, le prince seafood, and the lobster roll with fries. They have an extensive drinks list as well. The tuna came first, and this was one of my favorites. Nice temperature dipped with chips. Chips are also good alone. The seafood dish I ordered came with 10 oysters, 4 little neck clams, 4 shrimp and a crab salad. It was okay, don't think I would order it again. There wasn't one thing that stood out on there. Lobster roll came with fries but it is extra. It was hot, and buttery. It is pricey here but you do get what you pay for. Nice to try if you are in the area and have a reservation or be prepared to wait or sit at the bar seats which are limited.

The vibe is so cool - what a neat place with excellent seafood, great wine list and even better 80s music!! Great time and wonderful food

Made a reservation on open table for this restaurant. Our server was great. Good food, the chef even went out of his way to get Tabasco for my husband for the oysters. We also got Cesar salad and lobster roll. The lobster roll probably would have been better with heated bread. I was impressed that the Cesar salad was a high degree of lettuce I think young kale. Cute place with limited seating there is outside but nobody was wanting to sit there as it was so cold the day we visited. Tip make a reservation on open table because there is very limited seating inside, they do have a covered patio and uncovered patio as well

Very cute seafood forward spot in the village. We got a bunch of stuff to share including the oysters, shrimp cocktail, salad, lobster roll and crab dip. The 2 must try for me would be the shrimp cocktail and crab dip!

A cute spot for a seafood brunch tucked away in West Village -- they have a ton of great outdoor seating, waiters were very nice. The Breakfast Platter was delicious -- super fresh, tons of variety, good to split if you like to sample a ton of things. Pacific Oysters were yummy! Obligatory pancakes for the table were great too. I'd definitely come back!

Stopped in for lunch on my daughter's recommendation of places to eat while visiting NYC. It's a very small and quaint location on the corner. Really nice inside and my server was Roden and he did an excellent job! I ordered the lobster roll which I was told is a house favorite. I also added the French fries for $4 and I'm glad I did. Lobster roll was a good size portion and was very tasty. The fries were light and crispy. An absolute perfect combination!

Excellent little spot in the west village. Had to wait for a table but it was only 15 minutes. While this is a seafood heavy place they have a few vegetarian options. I mostly just wanted a martini and my friend wanted oysters. She said the oysters were delicious! I got the kale Caesar and some fries. Loved the setting outside and the staff were some of the friendliest!

good food, good drinks, great ambience. only thing that could improve are the prices, but that's expected for the area. I also wish that they have a few more options for friends/family who don't like seafood, but only because I love bringing people to this place!

Sunday brunch - we got lucky with such good weather that we had an option to sit outdoors or indoors , both equally appealing . We opted and sat right by the window in the front which is the perfect place . The place is small , cozy , well decorated and within theme - seafood . Their brunch menu has so many great options and since I've had my mind set on the lobster roll , that's what I got with a the chips . I'm glad I didn't have a change of heart as it was delicious , just the right amount of lobster in the traditional bread doused with butter and lemon on the side . We shared some oysters and my friends both had the lobster omelette which they seemed to have enjoyed as well , both plates were polished off. I normally have an alcoholic beverage with brunch and the lobster roll would pair nicely with a glass of white or bubbles but being under the weather , orange juice sufficed . I would love to come back for dinner and explore the menu which I expect to be equally as delectable. Service was exceptional, helpful , friendly , attentive and the pacing and timing was on point .

Yes, GREAT. Had a super quick 36-hour trip back to NYC and was eager to get in a seafood meal. My niece was able to snag a reservation at Jeffrey's Grocery which I knew of but never had a chance to try before leaving New York 5 years ago. And again, yes, this was a GREAT meal. We began with a half dozen West Coast Oysters. No idea what they specifically were, but a nice medium size with a buttery finish. We also shared the crab dip (delicious) and olives. The tuna tartare with homemade BBQ potato chips were a delight. The best tartare I have had in a while, and a large enough portion that along with the apps, was more than enough as a main dish. Rest of the family had the lobster roll and spaghetti with lobster. The food tasted fresh, everything was seasoned to perfection, and portion sizes seemed just right. Plates were cleaned and the service really could not have been any better. Truly a service with a smile establishment. I shall return!

The waiter did say to just check mark the paper instead of quantities, but they end up bringing you 2 of everything you order. The sweet & spicy fish is also very solid, garlic noodles were buttery, and even their iced tea was super refreshing. Could not recommend this place more!! The way they were prepared is the only way I want to taste them. The next dishes they brought out were fried shrimp, sizzling shrimp scampi. Soft shell crab was cooked to perfection. My garlic butter Nova Scotia Lobster was divine. Cooked, and served to perfection! Next the sizzling sea bass was brought to the table! O-M-G! Within a second after arriving to our table still sizzling. Jose came to personally debone the fish (never had that done before) and he added the Thai chili sauce. At this point, my body was in a foodie coma! After a brief clean up of our table. I left our dining room, and went to the ladies room. When you walk in the ladies room, between the floral scent, and decor you are in awe of the details, the bathroom was dreamy. Back at the table our two servers set up a Picasso style dessert with hand drawn chocolate with the ice cream and a delicious cheesecake. Thank you for the birthday wishes, and celebration for my friend. José out did his self with his talented art skills. Special thanks to the Manager Sam for stopping by every table to see if everything was to our satisfaction. It was beyond our satisfaction. Tip: Make reservations even if your a party of two. Be sure all guests arrive at the same time. Tip#2: The upstairs level is perfect for large gatherings, corporate events, holiday events, bridal, baby showers, bar/bat mitvah's, and industry events.
