    Awsome,..

Amazing.. fresh, delicious.. This is best fresh sushi in Los Angeles.. Always my best place.. Enjoy

This was a true test of trying new things that I've never had before. My friend found this place because she really wanted to try the live octopus that still squirms. Unfortunately for Monday dinner when we got there, it was sold out. So I'd suggest coming earlier if that's what appeals you. It's okay though because the combos they have will satisfy those cravings. My group of 7 got Combo S and boy were we full. It says it's for 5 people but it fed out group to the max. There were so many dishes that came with this: fried seafood, braised spicy fish, two rounds of huge platters of fish, pancakes, spicy stew. It was insane. We had tried to order more dishes thinking it wasn't enough but they also were out of them. Surprising they were out of so many stuff but also glad inside bc we would have been overly stuffed and not been able to finish. Parking is a small lot right outside the restaurant if you can find or metered spots/residential spots around. Overall, food portions were great. Service was a bit slow when we asked for things and the timing of the courses were uneven. Some came out fast and then some were waited for 10+ min after our dishes had been cleared.

Best meal I've had in my life. We ordered the combo A and added love octopus. There was so much food it could have easily fed 3-4 people. You start with banchan, abalone congee.. followed by katsu, soy marinated crab, sea squirt, clam, octopus sashimi... then the star of the show, halibut sashimi. Followed by tempura, two types of cooked fish, and it ends with a fish soup made with the halibut fish bones and ramen. We spent about 200$ but it was well worth it all.

The best Korean sashimi!!! The fish was so fresh and delicious. There was plenty of food we had to togo the fish stew because we couldn't finish it. Highly recommended

One of the best sashimi restaurants in LA! My husband and I went on a Friday night so there were a lot of people. This restaurant took over 2 store spaces in the plaza so we were sat right away in the second location. This place is clean and spacious. Everything was so good and the staff here are sweet! We got the Live Special! The variety of sides were also really good. Parking on weekends may be a little more difficult. There is parking available in 2 lots adjacent to each other or street parking.

I love Jeju and their lunch specials. It's a Korean seafood restaurant and they have wonderful lunch deals, good service and old school K-pop playing.

The food was good, though it leaned more towards the salty or sweet side. The sashimi, however, were excellent. The servers were attentive and provided a bell for any requests. The 80-00s Korean music played created a nostalgic atmosphere for the older patrons. The portions were generous.

Wonderful Korean style seafood comes with bahnchan and maewoontang! The place is jam packed right when they open. Ambiance is just like an old hole on the wall ambiance Korean restaurant. Parking can get pretty bad also. Definitely a place to try once in your life time.

I didn't been here long time because I didn't eat sashimi but my friends wanted go there so I decided to go for my friends. My friends visited in LA and they wanted eat Korea sashimi so I introduced this place and my friends were love this place. Sukidashi was pretty good for who doesn't like sashimi. Always I enjoyed eat sukidashi this place. Sashimi tasted very close to Korean style, that's my friends said that. Live shrimp sashimi was over pricey that they quality. Each one of over $10. I heard $16 for each. We went to there around 6pm and getting busy so very slow serving but waitress was very accommodating. Old place, nothing special interior but pretty clean. Whoever try Korean style sashimi, go to this place! You won't disappoint. But be aware a bit pricey.

This place gives you a lot of food so come starving and with a group of friends/family! Their sashimi is really fresh and surprisingly tender yet still has great texture. Their combo comes course style and it's basically nonstop until the end. Service is excellent and they even have a button you can use to call a server over. Highly recommend this spot!

Came here 02/04/2022 Awesome value and authentic Korean food! As a Korean I hold Korean restaurants to very high standards and tend to stay away from fusion restaurants. Jeju Fresh Fish is run by Koreans in Koreatown and specializes in authentic KOREAN sushi/sashimi. Do not come here if you are looking for Japanese-style sushi on rice. Jeju Fresh Fish's menu is split into two sides - LIVE seafood (they literally bring live lobster and fish to you), and pre-prepped seafood. For my party of 4, we went with Combo C, which is actually a portion for 3 people. However, this 3-person set was more than enough for 4 people. We had so much food leftover. I have attached photos of EVERYTHING that comes in Combo C so that you can see for yourself. The portions are huge and we couldn't even finish all of the raw sashimi. The one-star reviews that talk about small portion sizes and overpriced food don't know what they are talking about. There was so much food that came in the 3-person combo that 4 people couldn't finish it. All the seafood is fresh and tasty! Everything is presented beautifully and nothing seems low-quality. I can highly recommend Jeju Fresh Fish as authentic Korean seafood!

In Koreatown, that…read moreshouldn't be an issue but when your craving something to grab and go, the options are quite limited. I have been eyeing Yama for quite a while and this past Monday, I was able to find the time to go! Yama Sushi Marketplace reminds of stepping into a Japanese Grocery store. Snacks lined the center of the store, while hot food, pre-packed sushi line the wall. There is also a traditional counter on the right for sashimi and fresh fish cuts. Let's talk food, I got some assorted Nigiri ($11), Salmon Nigiri ($11), some 2 packs of Chicken Yakitori 2 Skewers per pack ($4/pack), tea, and soda. It all came out to $40. Though I don't normally like to pay that much for lunch, I didn't regret it one bit. The sushi tasted so good and fresh, while the skewers were hot and meat tender. Paired with the soda it make my lunch such a nice treat. Parking can be found for free in the facility located in the back and underground. When I visited, there was a lot of parking so no issues there. If you would like to eat there, there are some small tables set up outside for you to enjoy your food. I will definitely come back again as they do have bento options, which after this last visit makes me want to be a regular. Cheers!

Love love Yama Sushi!…read more The ordering system is kind of like a fish market, you can select which cut of fish you like and they will cut it into smaller slivers for you. They do cut it pretty thick though, and I prefer thinner pieces, but the quality is amazing nonetheless. I always order a side of rice to eat with the fish to make my own "nigiri's". In the fridge, they have premade rolls, nigiri, and sashimi if you prefer that. We got a spicy scallop roll and that was pretty tasty and fresh too. They have many fish to choose from, but I always get the salmon belly and tuna toro. They also have a section that sells hot foods like chicken karaage if you're interested. There's a couple of tables inside and outside as well as street parking. Workers are also attentive and will go around cleaning the tables after customers leave. Aside from fish, they also sell a lot of asian snacks, matcha, and knickknacks. Overall a small but cute store for quick eats.

How could my favorite cookie in LA be retired? How could Spider-Man or Batman or Buddha or any messianic figure "retire"? The injustice conjures to mind a memory of the reason that six years ago I walked with my fist up during protests only blocks from this location. I'm not ashamed to say I buckled to my knees and spouted flowing tears that rivaled the lovely new waterfall you have outside. With all the uncertainty and chaos in the world, there was one place of solace I could rely on to nourish my spirit and renew the daily fight to spread light in this shadowy world. No, not at church. But at Yuko Kitchen, where I could sit and audibly exhale while demolishing the not-too-sweet-sweetness of the green tea sesame cookie. I could have drank the broth by itself! The ramen was wavy and thin and very slurpable. I wish it was slightly more chewy, but it was still good. The chashu pork was tender and juicy. Given half of the seasoned egg, which was soft and jammy. Perfect! Too bad they gave only half of it. Bamboo shoots and scallion were added as well Really enjoyed this ramen and would order it again! BLACK SESAME CREME BRULEE This was good, but the serving bowl was shallow and the portion was small. Strong black sesame flavor and the brulee top was crunchy with a lovely caramelized sugar, as expected. The one disappointment was that it was not custard that was served, but sesame cream. It was as though they added black sesame paste and whipped cream together. Then added the bruleed top. CUSTOMER SERVICE I was there for lunch on Monday. It wasn't busy nor crowded either. Only one server working. Everyone was already seated and eating. Since I was the only one that has not been served yet, the service was quick. Server was straight to the point too. She did check back during my meal, which was good. Given my experience, I would return to try other items on the menu. But most likely return to order their Shoyu Ramen again. PARKING It is a medium-sized parking lot that is shared with other businesses. Parking is free. They had a valet sign at the front, but there was no valet available during the day. Skip the fee and look for street meter parking instead--it's free on Sundays. The Food: Yuzu Shio Ramen (5/5): Absolutely delicious. If you want a break from heavy tonkotsu broths, this is light, clean, and incredibly refreshing. The noodle texture was spot on (not too soft), and it came with four tender chashu slices with a nice hint of char, plenty of bamboo shoots, and a good amount of green onions. The half soft boiled egg was also delicious. Blossom Roll (2.5/5): This sounded amazing on paper, especially since I love yuzu and it was supposed to feature both yuzu and yuzu kosho. It did, and I like the subtle hint of it. Unfortunately, I ended up focusing too much on the sushi rice itself, which had a noticeably starchy texture and a light rice fragrance that wasn't necessarily bad, but it wasn't good either. It just made me question how they prepared it (maybe the rice wasn't washed? It almost reminds me of a risotto). Overall, it just wasn't as enticing as expected. Service: 10/5 stars! The service here is truly fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the Tai Spicy Miso Ramen but realized after a bite that the flavor profile wasn't for her. Even though the menu description was accurate, our waitress was incredibly sweet and swapped it out for a Yuzu Shio Ramen instead. Truly amazing hospitality. Ambiance: They play house music in the background, which sets a decent vibe, but there was a distinct chemical/cleaning product smell in the air when we walked in. It wasn't Pine-Sol, but it was a bit off-putting. Thankfully, it didn't interfere with the food but if you have a sensitive nose, this might bother you Verdict: I'd definitely come back if I'm in the mood for ramen and am in the area.
