Very delicious Whenever I want to eat crab soup, I only come to this restaurant. I've been eating at this restaurant for about 10 years and the taste is always the same. I love this place

Sweet pear dessert soup Very nice service No uni urchin bowl unfortunately Got the marinated crab and shrimp The beef stew was very flavorful- full of carrots, beef and ttoek rice cakes We were the only ones there around 6-7 pm

A legacy place for korean spicy crab stew. Always hits the spot and love always coming back. Friendly service as always and always hits tasty.

One of my favorite restaurants in K-town LA. Loved since 2006. BEST CRAB place in LA!!!!!

Worth the drive to LA for this Korean seafood pot! Everything was fresh and full of flavor -- the broth, the seafood, and all the extras hit the spot. Always fun to make a little trip out of it, enjoy great food, and have a good time

Did this place level up, or did my taste buds finally get it? Pulled up here four years ago, and it was just alright--fresh seafood but nothing crazy. Recently gave it another shot with their spicy crab soup, and wow... they popped off. The broth was deep and flavorful, and the crab was next level. A few weeks later, I went back for the seafood hot pot, and yeah... they understood the assignment. Spicy, refreshing broth with fresh shrimp, squid, and mussels? Absolute win. Either they upgraded, or I finally know what's good--but either way, I'm coming back

I've been this place twice. I known this place long time but never try before. I wanted give this place 2.5 star. One of my other favorite restaurant closed early than this place so I went to this place eat spicy crab soup with soojebi. We ordered before went to here because kitchen closed 9pm. Emo's were very accommodating even it's close to closing time. They never push to us and made feel us while eat but I worried that only left 50mins for close restaurant and it automatically made us eating faster lol. We didn't want to they over worked for us. Spicy crab soup(3/5) - emo cutting crab for us. It little salty for us but it was fine. Soojebi wasn't great than I expected. I would like to eat fried rice which's popular here. Second visit this place I took my friend who visit from Dallas. We ordered spicy seafood soup. Spicy seafood soup(3/5)-nothing special. Tasted similar crab soup but fried rice was amazing. If you going to this place must try fried rice!! But you can't order one, minimum order from 2. Banchan was ok and sikhye was amazing They sell sikhye. I bought twice here. I bought sikhye also my friend bought sikhye.

    Soy marinated crab

Took my mom for her bday and we have different opinions! My mom preferred the spicy raw crab because she didn't enjoy the unusual flavoring of the soy! I personally really enjoyed the soy marinated crab because it tastes like they used star anise in the marinade! I feel that it added an extra depth of flavor and probably helped with any fishy smell. The stew was amazing as well, crab meat was very soft! Highly recommend!

I love their food, especially the beef stew. I've been to 2 locations in LA and one location in Garden Grove. Food quality is always superb! The portion is huge. We ordered the regular size beef stew, which they said was good for only 2 people. Thought it wouldn't be enough so we ordered a seafood pancake too. Turn out four of us couldn't finish it. The leftovers were good for another breakfast and dinner haha. Their beef stew is a MUST! I've been to many Korean restaurants, and have only seen this dish in another restaurant in Rowland Highs. Also, when you are done with white rice, ask for ramen. And if you're still hungry afterwards, ask for their fried rice, they will make fried rice with whatever left in your pot. The server ladies are very nice and attentive. The only one downside is the parking :(. They have free valet parking right under the restaurant, but there aren't many spots. Your best luck is street parking but also very hard to find. We had to walk 10 mins to park. The food was good and worth it though.

Soup are really good and delicious Nice service Have sooo many appetite dishes with chives pancakes, All are very delicious !

    Hand pulled dough

The crab dishes at this place are amazing!! They got hands down the best spicy marinated crab in town. The crab soup is super flavorful. If you are a crab lover, you gotta come to this place. The Korean auntie was very friendly and taught us the traditional way of eating the dishes.

Awesome seafood soup on cold days. Awesome north to go with soju. Highly recommend!

We both paused because of a strongly bitter lingering taste - the uni had spoiled. Spot Prawn & Scallop Aguachile: Two pieces of spot prawn and six little pieces of scallop swimming in a pool of a very tart lime-based sauce. While the shrimp itself tasted sweet, the scallop didn't taste like anything. The overall dish felt one-dimensional for the price. Ceviche de Rockot (Rockfish): More reasonable portion. Snappy texture. For a mild, sweet fish, this could have been a great canvas for creative flavors. Instead it's just lime-y like the prior dishes. While each dish looked aesthetic, they shared the same acidic flavor profile. I found myself wishing for more creativity and variety in the sauces and seasonings. The seafood quality also needs to be more consistent, especially when serving premium ingredients. Service: Order and pay at the counter, grab a table number, and the staff brings the food out. The restaurant itself is located in a shared casual dining space. Pay to park. I don't think the experience justified the reputation or the prices.

Fresh and Flavorful Seafood I've visited this seafood spot…read moretwice recently, and both times the food was fresh and flavorful. The shrimp cocktail was especially good, with generously sized shrimp and a tasty cocktail sauce. My order had 14 shrimp, which felt like a fair portion for the price. It came with three tostadas, though only one hot sauce packet was included. That's a minor detail, but I would have appreciated extra packets. Good Value Seafood isn't cheap, but the prices here seem reasonable. They also offer weekday lunch specials that make items like the shrimp cocktail an even better deal. The campechana is another solid option and worth trying. Small Neighborhood Spot The restaurant itself is small, but there always seem to be customers inside, which says a lot. I also like that they decorate for holidays...it gives the place a welcoming neighborhood feel. Pickup Experience I've only ordered takeout, and my food has been ready quickly both times. Service was decent overall, although there was a brief moment during my last visit where I wasn't acknowledged right away while waiting for my order. Overall If you're craving a good shrimp cocktail or campechana, this local spot is worth checking out. Fresh seafood, fair prices, and a convenient neighborhood location make it a place I'll be visiting again.

We started with the oyster sampler featuring selections from Hollywood, MD; Pope's Bay, VA; Buzzards Bay, MA; Chesapeake Bay, VA; and Wellfleet, MA. The oysters were exceptionally fresh and served with great accompaniments. We always order oysters when visiting seafood restaurants because freshness is so important to us, and Water Grill absolutely delivered. A must-order. The grilled Spanish octopus, served with fingerling potatoes, Niçoise olives, roasted tomato, pine nuts, and olive oil, was very good (3.5/5). We're fairly picky when it comes to octopus, and while we would have liked a bit more char, it was still among the better versions we've had. The New Zealand king salmon sushi with avocado, hazelnuts, papaya, and white soy-lime vinaigrette was fresh, clean, and delicious (5/5). While not particularly unique, it was executed perfectly. The crispy calamari with harissa aioli and cilantro-mint sweet chili sauce was also well done (4/5)--crispy, not oily, and very enjoyable. Calamari is another dish we frequently order, and this version met our standards, even if it wasn't especially memorable. The standout among the appetizers was the New Zealand pink bream ceviche with cilantro, red peppers, onions, lemon juice, and olive oil. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were incredibly fresh (5/5). We only added a touch of salt. This is another must-order dish. The Peruvian bay scallops with pistachio citrus pesto were somewhat underwhelming (3/5), and the Brussels sprouts with bacon and chestnuts (3/5) didn't leave much of an impression either. The lobster itself was excellent (5/5)--sweet, fresh, and perfectly prepared. The accompanying coleslaw wasn't our favorite, but we'd happily order the lobster again and probably go for a larger portion next time. The absolute star of the evening was the Massachusetts black sea bass. It was easily one of the best dishes of the night and possibly one of the best fish dishes we've ever had at a restaurant (5/5). Tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. To top it all off, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary birthday dessert featuring chocolate cake, vanilla cake, oatmeal cake, and ice cream. It was thoughtful, delicious, and a wonderful ending to the meal (5/5). Overall, Water Grill earns a well-deserved 5/5. The quality and freshness of the seafood were outstanding, the beachfront ambiance was beautiful, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Definitely a must-try seafood destination in Los Angeles. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable experience--we truly appreciated it.
