After ready the reviews I was hesitant to come in. But I must say I'm happy I did. The pizza was very good along with the service. After being In a car for 3 hrs with another 7 Togo , I must say this hit the spot. It seems the reviews are from people who may have known the old owners and disagree with the direction the new owners took. Jenks is good, simple Italian strip mall food. Nice atmosphere, good lunch specials. Can't beat it for the price at lunch.

Probably the best Italian around! Great food..(pizza, pasta, subs, salads, etc.) in other words, EVERYTHING!! Staff is wonderful. Very polite and friendly. They're like a big family in there. Our waitress was sweet and helpful. Our pizza order was not correct and the waitress used her own discount for us as the owner did not care. Other issues with the bill and the owner was rude. Will never go back. Our appetizer was good and the one pizza that was correctly ordered tasted like frozen pizza. We will not be back. read more

Out waitress Never brought drinks or napkins. She also forgot some items we ordered- guess she never put the order in. Garden salad is a joke. (Yes, I understand I ordered a salad at a pizza place) but, I guess the only vegetable they have is lettuce. I tried not to give a star of this horrible place .. .. Bought a sub sandwich which took 45 minutes to get when it was dead in there, I got two pieces of turkey on my foot long sandwich, which had no cheese when I asked for a specific one!!!! So I was not happy, so I went to the manager, and told him frustration and he rolled his eyes at me!!! Really??? This girl who works across the street from your Establishment will never be in again and I told my co works not to go there.. We used to live off 210 and frequented Jenk's often. Unfortunately after moving and attempting to get takeaway we received the wrong order and didn't know until we drove 45 minutes home during rush hour traffic. We called and let them know what happened, took photographs of the incorrect pizzas they sent with us and were told they don't give refunds over the phone but our name would be put down and they would comp an XL pizza for us the next time we ordered. I explained it would be a while as we no longer lived down the street and was assured it would not be a problem. Fast forward months later (as we no longer live near the establishment) and I attempted to place an order for multiple pizzas as I was going to be in the area. I was told that it had been too long and they did not have our name down. I was talked down to as if I had done something wrong by asking for what was still owed to us. Everyone has off days and makes mistakes but no business manager/ owner should ever lie about rectifying their mistake and essentially steal from their customer. read more

Ordered large pizza with sausage, peppers and onions for delivery. Pizza was good but when you pay $2.25 per topping you expect a little more then 6 slivers of onions and peppers and a few pieces of sausage. I called Jenks to compliment the pizza and constructively criticize the amount of toppings. The manager/owner would not let me get in a word and just ranted on how he is there to make money. STAY AWAY, manager and owner very unfriendly and when asked why I was charged 50 cents for mayo on a sub, told me too bad ,he had to make money, so what's next ketchup charge for fries. After recently moving back from Miami, I was excited to order jenks. What happened?! The food was embarrassing. I had company and no one was happy with their meal. They used to be so good. Inconsistent! I have been ordering from Jenk's for 12 years. They changed ownership a little while back. Since then, you can get good NY style pizza 2/3 of the time. When it's good - it's incredibly good. However, there is no quality control. So, the other 1/3 of the time expect lots of bubbles from not enough sauce/cheese or over cooked, black on the bottom crust. If you are looking for delivery, then same thing some times quick and perfect, others long waits, cold pizza or cheese slid to 1/2 of pizza because they didn't hold it level. read more

Had several pizzas, garlic cheese bread and calamari. Everyone enjoyed the food, but no one wad raving at it being extraordinary.

The best pizza place in town, with spectacular service and food for everyone. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and the pizza is really good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

This was my last pizza from Jenk's pizza on CR 210, St. John's. I ordered a pizza for delivery , not the first pizza that was NOT what I ordered, even though the person who took my order read it back to me. When it was delivered , I got spinach and tomatoes, when I ordered onions and tomatoes. I called the restaurant immediately and was told "the person who took my order wrote it down wrong" and they would make me another pizza that would be delivered in 1 hour, they were very busy. I said " ok, make me another pizza ". I received a phone call within minutes, telling me the manager wants the original pizza back. I said " absolutely not and I want to talk with the manager. When he got on the phone, I told him I would not send the original pizza back, that was a health concern, he then told me he would NOT make another pizza, I stated " that's fine, I'll call the St. John's County board of health in the morning. This problem has become to frequent with Jenks and I will no longer order anything from them. My concern is what would they do with the pizza that they wanted back. I for one, will not find out!!! Pizza - ehh. Everything else - GREAT. Pasta, sandwiches, salads - suprisingly tasty. I have yet to have the dinner pasta, but if the lunch portion is any indication, one will need 2 or 3 stomachs to eat the dinner portion. read more

Had the ham and cheese sub, my husband ordered the Italian. We were very disappointed because there seriously was 1 slice of meat and cheese. The only thing we could taste was the bread. The topper to this review though was when we got ready to leave, my husband asked for a to go cup of tea and we were told that they only serve refills to dine-in customers. WHAT?? We did dine in! Ok so when it was owned by Jenk and his family, it was amazing and everything was fresh. It has transferred ownership to Ali and the $$$ saving shortcuts promotes the bad reviews. Only the owner Ali knows how to make the pizza. One time it was almost raw and NEVER order meat or veggie toppings, they are not fresh and mostly frozen- even the meatballs are frozen. Stay away from this place! We stopped in for lunch one day and what a mistake. I ordered the Gyro Wrap and my wife the Italian Sub. When we got home and opened our food we were surprised at how little there actually was. The "Italian" sub from an Italian Restaurant consisted of 1 piece of deli ham, 1 piece of salami, and 1 piece of American cheese and included none of the toppings she had ordered. The only thing they got right was the lettuce which must have come from a week old bag from the grocery store. The Gyro was clearly not made in house as it consisted of 2 small pieces of gyro meat that seemed to be sliced on a machine and extremely dry and tasteless. Upon calling Jenk's I was told that this was their "standard portion size and I was not to complain and they did not care." If you like paying $7 for a piece of bread, 2 slices of meat, and some old crusty lettuce then Jenks is the place for you! Toss in the rude and terrible customer service and you have a winner on your hands. Needless to say, I will never be eating at Jenks again and I suggest you steer clear. read more

About as bad as it gets...the food is pretty bad. I asked what the basil bread was and low and behold, the waitress brought it to the table WITHOUT us ordering it! But she managed to forget the napkins and the dishes. We asked for them and got one napkin for two of us. we asked for crispy pizza, it was like eating sandwich bread, small amount of sauce and mozzarella...all flavorless. Seriously, how can a place like this stay in business? The other waitress was coughing into her hands and not washing them, there were 5-6 kids working behind the counter all taking pictures and looking at their cell phones...I would avoid this place and as much as we hate chains advise one to go to domino's or papa Johns..this place ought to be ashamed of stealing people's money with food that is as bad as it can get...service is an F too...what exactly do you have going for you there and how do you keep the lights on at this place and still sleep at night! read more

As a resident of the 210 community for a little less than 10 years, Jenks has been a bi-weekly staple in our house.....until now. A few weeks ago, I placed an order over the phone for a pick up, just two items. When I arrived to pick them up, they forgot to submit the second item on the order and asked me if I wanted to wait another ten minutes for it. What? No thanks. Then recently I ordered a Stromboli and it was the worst we've ever had. So unbelievably greasy and the consistency of the dough was different, not rubbery but almost pastry-like...almost like a croissant. It was the pits. I am a native New Yorker and Jenks has been the closest to NY style pizza in this area BUT a few new pizza spots have opened up on 210 over the last few years so though disappointing, I suppose it is time to find ourselves a new one. I know the ownership has changed recently so that may be the reason for all of the bad reviews since about January of 2014 :-( read more
