It has been a bit since I have been here.. mostly because I do not find myself over in that area as often as I used to be, but I am very happy that we stopped in for lunch today. Love the decor still and our servers were great. Their menu still has all the favorites and they've added some new salads and it was really really good. You can't beat their lunch specials, which are called 904 because they come at $9.04 for a slice of pizza which is crazy big and a salad or two slices of the crazy big slices and one topping and a drink. Glad to see they still rock and we look forward to going there again soon.

Trivia Tuesday nights! The pizza was good, but the zucchini fries were delicious pretty chill atmosphere. Not a lot of beer options. Service was friendly and attentive. Would come back again, this time for the $1 wings on Wed

This restaraunt was unique in its own sense. My son enjoyed the NY sized pizza slices, and decorations. It felt like we walked into a scene from the goat simulator game where decorations were silly and fun but made no logical sense so it was fun to look at. Jes (the cook that night) made a perfectly cooked and cheesy calzone. Our server was really nice and friendly, it was a slow night for them and food was fast. I've read some horror stories about this site which was disappointing since it's affiliated with carmines (one of our favorites) but hopefully they are working those out and can redeem their reputation the locals miss so much.

Panini was delicious. Definitely enough to share especially if you order a salad before hand. Love the lunch specials. Cool atmosphere and good service. This location has a great patio with fans as well.

Got some wings and zucchini fries to enjoy at 2nd bay brewing. They were nice and crispy, good flavoring. Zucchini fries were a great paring with our beers! Can't wait to try the pizzas...once I'm off the "diet".

Lunch special 2 slice & a soft drink

Very nice casual vibe and decor. Seated with a very informative host and immediately took drink order and presented very informative & well laid out menus and told us the specials. Unfortunately went a bit sideways from there ( 86ed the Italian sausage with peppers & onions). Apparently he was assisting the only server in the middle of lunch hour in a very busy pizza shop and cover the counter and door. The server was fighting for life, but did not give up. Good job. Now the main event, the 2 slice special. Looked good and as David Portnoy says "No Flop"! The salami diameter pepperoni slices immediately drew my attention as well as sliced "Italian Sausage "? There was no taste of the sauce or any other of the ingredients. I had such high hopes on the many recommendations I have got from friends. Saving grace was the thin crunchy crust. I would come back and try one of their sandwiches.

We were excited to try this spot. My daughter can't have dairy but my son and husband wanted a pizza night so I loved that there were many dinner options. We came on a Friday night at 6pm and it was full. Thankfully we got seated right away, the hostess was very nice. Our waitress was sweet and helpful. The decor was fun and wild. We ordered a cheese pizza, mushroom pepperoni, and the goat cheese pesto pizza. It was good, solid 4/5. I felt the pesto was a little too potent, so it was hard to eat. The desserts looked good, maybe next time.

Mushroom and bacon pizza with cauliflower crust. Really good.

Really enjoyed this pizza place. Being on a lower carb diet, I was worried about coming here for a work gathering. But I became immediately happy when I saw they had a delicious cauliflower crust option! I tried a taste of regular pizza, as well as their pepperoni bread and thought the cauliflower crust pizza was better! Super crispy on the edges and thin. The thinness was actually nice because it didn't take away from the toppings and you didn't fill up too quickly. It was also packed full of flavor. The waitress was awesome and provided a copy of the nutritional information. I hope this can help others that are watching their nutritional intake. My coworker is more strict on the carbs, so he gasped when he saw the crust information. But honestly, he said it was so delicious, he didn't care and would eat it again. Can't get a better compliment then that. We will be back for sure.

I went and was ignored for the longest time, finally I got help and ordered. The large pizza came out undercooked, and when I brought it to the manager's attention he seemed annoyed and refused to refund my money because he said he didn't have time. It's important to hire diversity also, we live in Florida full of a multitude of ethnicity's however this establishment only hires European Americans. There's lots of better pizza places around, this is not one of them.

The bread is delicious! The service was prompt and always were there to serve us. We tried a smaller sample of the Cheese Pasta bowl to share with our table. It looked really rich to eat as an entree but it was a delicious side appetizer dish. Very fresh noodles in that melted creamy cheese. Delicious! And also 2 side dishes of the fried Potato Croquette's. Comes with marinara dipping sauce. Delicious! I tried the Ultimate Chicken Vodka Parm with spicy Penne noodles. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly but I wasn't a great fan of the Vodka sauce on the Parm, but I wanted to try something different. It was still good just not my favorite. We also got a picture of Red Sangria. I also wasn't a fan of Sangria a little less sweet than I'm used to. It was okay. Overall we had a great time and the food was very fresh and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone to try. The menu offered a wide ranging selection of delicious Italian options from which each of us ordered something different and equality very good. There are certain moments during a meal when you taste something and immediately have to stop and…read moreask, "What did the chef do differently here?" That happened to us at Al Dente's in St. Johns when we tasted the sauce accompanying their short ribs. We have eaten at Al Dente's many times, so we weren't discovering the restaurant for the first time. It has already earned a place among our favorite local restaurants. But on this visit, we came in for a full Culinary Duo review, and the kitchen prepared a tasting that went well beyond what we expected. And somehow, a restaurant we already knew managed to surprise us all over again. We started with the calamari, which is noticeably different from the traditional calamari plate. Al Dente's uses the prime rings without the tentacles, then sautés them with sliced peppers. The result is tender, flavorful calamari with a cleaner and more consistent bite from beginning to end. We were told that when the calamari is featured during happy hour, it can sell out. After tasting it, we understand why. The quality of the calamari and the simplicity of the preparation allow the seafood to remain the focus of the dish. It impressed us enough to earn one of our Culinary Duo Best of the Best Dish Awards. The gnocchi is another longtime favorite and Best of the Best winner. Al Dente's sautés it and finishes it with a white wine bath, creating the texture that has kept us coming back for it over the years. It is a great example of how a little extra technique can make a familiar Italian dish memorable. Then came the dish that may have surprised us the most, the short ribs. We will admit that short ribs are not normally something we get particularly excited about. Too often, the meat is served with too little sauce, leaving you wishing there was something more to bring the entire plate together. Al Dente's completely changed that for us. The beef was exceptionally tender and practically fell apart. But it was the sauce that immediately caught our attention. It had a wonderful subtle sweetness that was different enough that we had to ask what the kitchen was doing. The answer was port. Using port gives the mushroom sauce a slightly sweeter, richer character that works beautifully with the beef. Add decadent mashed potatoes loaded with butter, garlic, and herbs, and you have the kind of comfort food that makes you want to slow down and enjoy every bite. Sautéed zucchini and yellow squash added freshness and helped balance the richness of the plate. The short ribs became our third Best of the Best selection from Al Dente's. Next came the salmon with lobster ravioli, and this was another example of the kitchen going beyond what was necessary. The salmon was a substantial, thick cut, beautifully cooked, moist, and wonderfully tender. It was paired with lobster ravioli and a wine sauce, which would have made a very good dish by itself. But they didn't stop there. They added actual chunks of lobster claw meat over the salmon and ravioli. We love that. If you are going to serve lobster ravioli, there is something special about seeing and tasting real pieces of lobster on the plate as well. It reinforces the featured ingredient and turns what could have been a familiar seafood pasta combination into something much more memorable. The beef tenderloin medallions followed, accompanied by seasonal vegetables and a white truffle mushroom risotto that deserves almost as much attention as the beef. The risotto combined mushrooms, cream, Parmesan, truffles, and white truffle oil, creating a rich, earthy flavor that complemented the tenderloin beautifully. Risotto can easily become an obligatory side dish, but this one was clearly treated as an important part of the plate. Creamy, savory, and full of truffle character, it was an excellent partner for the medallions. One thing we particularly enjoy about Al Dente's is that the tenderloin is offered as a nightly special and the preparation can change. Guests may encounter different interpretations, including Gorgonzola, Marsala, or au poivre. For regular diners like us, that flexibility makes returning a little more interesting because there can always be something different coming out of the kitchen. By this point, we thought the meal was finished. Then the chef surprised us with a Dubai chocolate pistachio tart. It arrived beautifully plated with chocolate drizzle and whipped cream. This is definitely a dessert for anyone who loves rich flavors. A few bites were enough for us because it was incredibly decadent, but the combination of pistachio and dark chocolate was fantastic. It was a fitting ending to an impressive tasting. What stayed with us most about this visit was not simply one great plate. It was the consistency across the entire meal. The calamari showed how ingredient selection can change a familiar appetizer. The gnocchi demonstrated technique. The short ribs showed how one thoughtful change to a sauce can comp
