RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! So heres how it goes...After a long day at work, I feel like dining out versus cooking, so I gracefully pull up to this restaurant in an awesome mood. This server named Katie took my order but looked confused when I asked if the chicken strips came with celery. Fine, no big deal. If they don't come with celery, I'm cool with that. So I ask her to give me an order of celery and to please put buffalo sauce on the strips. (Please keep in mind that I'm a person who doesn't mind paying for anything of quality. I'll pay $100 for a great steak if that's what I want to eat. Done it plenty of times before, so adding celery to my bill is not an issue for me.)
Now, moving along. When this server, Katie, brought my food, she asked if it was right. I said yes and being that I love buffalo sauce, I asked her if she can bring me a side of buffalo sauce as well. Some people like snakes, some people like clowns or even scallops. I LIKE BUFFALO SAUCE! Still no big deal, just add it to my bill if you want cause I wanted extra buffalo sauce on the side. This irritated, for no reason, attitude having "server" named Katie, completely took the word "service" out of the phrase customer service. She looked at me and said, "Is there anything else you need before I go back there?" I instantly said, "Why do you have an attitude?" she said she didn't. I told her "no" I don't want anything else. I looked at my celery and it was dirty, the chicken strips were cold, an when she instantly returned with my buffalo sauce, she dropped it on the table as if she was pissed and when the little side dish of buffalo sauce hit the table, it made a loud clacking sound as ceramic dishes would make if its being thrown on the table. AND THEN HAD THE NERVE TO SAY SHE WAS SORRY. As I'm sitting there, she answers the phone and when a customer calls, she has an attitude with them saying over and over again in a mean way that the special is "baked chicken, uh, baked, yeah, baked chicken," all while having a sarcastic tone of voice.
Then I hear this girl Katie say to the other server to charge me for celery and buffalo sauce. Clearly, I don't care about charging me for something extra that I ordered but I can hear this unprofessional girl say this aloud. I guess she made her simple mind up about not finishing what she started, which was a rude experienceheap so Katie told the other server to come over. Instantly I asked for my bill, paid it, and had to ask for the receipt. I wanted to know if the phone number is listed on the receipt so I asked the server who I paid if the phone number was on the receipt. She instantly says, the owner is here if you'd like to talk with him. And I said, "About what, the food or the service?" If that's the owner, then I don't want to talk to him because I heard Katie say to the owner, after she hung up the phone from being rude to the people calling, "When are you going to order me a new apron?"
How can someone take a job waiting tables, and be rude to customers, as well as discuss extra prices aloud about what to charge someone and never return to their table, as well as demonstrate inappropriate subordination to the one who owns the place. IDK! All I do know is that I know a lot of people, that know a lot of people, and I will make sure they know NOT to dine here, EVER! Could've been handled a lot differently. Thanks, Katie, but no thanks. read more
