They even brought me a brand new bottle of honey when I asked for it (I was expecting little packets, boy was I wrong!) They even serve dessert with the meal! Well, I was confused the ratings weren't great, but there were some really good ones among the bad. My husband and I found the food great. It is home style cooking. The waitress Evelyn was attentive and had our drinks and food on the table in a timely manure. My husband had the chicken fried steak breakfast. It was extremely tasty. Very good food and a lot of it. Go very very hungry. I have been going there since they open. I don't care for there meat loaf. But every thing else I have had there has been very good. Great dinners and a wonderful senior menu. For 6.99 you get soup or salad. Meat, veggies and potatoes and roll. Plus pudding or jell-o. It comes on a platter. You will have some to take home. Lol. The sandwiches are huge. The burgers are huge. I take my grandkids there and I cut the Burger in fours. They are that big. The pan cakes are huge. All there breakfast are huge on a platter. Well, I'm sorry to say that my first ever visit is going to be my last. Not because of the food, it was good and fresh, but because of the attitude. My server, unknown name, blonde female, needs a new career choice. Seemed confused about the menu and managed to have the cooks make my order incorrect, not one, but two tImes. I have been here a few times for breakfast. Prices are reasonable and you can get the pancake special for 3.99 (2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, and 2 pancakes). Service has been okay and it gets busy around 10am (on Sundays anyway). read more

Great little spot. Hadn't been here before but as this area of Highlands starts getting built up decided to try a new place. New to us that is. Would say this place has been here awhile. We've made Jenny's our home away from home. This is a popular place and the crowd are less in the morning so we mainly go here for breakfast. The food and service is great and the prices are so affordable we come here often. Note to others: Don't skimp on the tip even though prices are low. Cool little diner. The atmosphere is straight out of a 1950 era movie diner. Really solid service. Good old comfort food. They have a couple of solid breakfast specials. I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. I've come to realize that I mostly prefer, and will probably only return for, breakfast. The breakfast here is excellent with great portions, fast service, and even better are the prices. They have a great "Specials" menu, so ask for it if you don't get it. The lunch and dinner service is not bad, it's just not the best, or my first choice. My favorite is the pancake breakfast special with two eggs, bacon, two pancakes, and I order a side of toast. Must not in any type of rush at this place. Three times the waitress claimed to be right there in just a sec. Not a problem but at least give me some coffee to put me in the holding pattern. Solid diner. Great prices. Accommodates large groups. Breakfast is the best meal they serve. Lots of options. My kids always get the breakfast special: 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, toast and hash browns for $6.95. I enjoy the Cobb salad for dinner with grilled chicken and their ranch is homemade. Service is always good. Iced tea is always fresh. My husband enjoys the avocado BLT and opts for fresh fruit instead of fries. We also get their omelettes quite a bit. We eat here a lot. read more

My son and I eat there on Saturday morning when we don't want to drive far. The food is ok, but the we go there for the service. Best waitress in town. Anybody can sling potatoes and ham on a grill, but if the service sucks, you'll never come back. We'll continue to eat there, and you should try it also. read more

I've only eaten here for breakfast but everything I've ordered has been excellent. Service is always good. They're always busy but they seat you fairly quickly. If your getting breakfast the two options for potatoes is hash browns and homestyle potatoes. The homestyle potatoes come with your standerd peppers, onions, and seasoning but can be very large chunks of potatoes. So if your not into that then stick with the hash browns. Overall a great place. We live down the street and eat here about twice a month. read more

unless you are going to eat classic breakfast foods, DO NOT BOTHER! I ordered the sampler plate and the zucchini and onion rings were just ok, clearly came from a frozen bag but ok. now my issue was with the chicken wings. i went to take a bite and they were cold. no, not "oh they have been sitting there and they got cold" no no no no, they were never heated, they were refrigerator cold. not even the sauce was heated!! so the only reason i gave it 2 stars is because their CLASSIC breakfast dishes are ok. never will i go again unless i want breakfast. read more

I noticed that most of the reviews are at least a couple years old, and I hope that no one decides not to check this place out because of what some others have mentioned. My family and I have lived in the Highland area for nearly 10 years, and this is a place that we frequent often. It is just what it says "Diner" so anyone who walks in expecting fine dining will certainly be disappointed. But for a diner it is exceptional, the decor is cute and clean, the menu expansive, the serving sizes are very well portioned and the prices extremely reasonable. We have always had exceptional and friendly service. I have no doubt there have been exceptions, you can't be perfect all the time. One thing about this place is, it is local, and I am sure many of the waitresses go out of their way more so for their regular customers. As for the food itself, again this is not fine dining... it is typical diner style food. I will mention that they have outstanding homemade blue cheese dressing and homemade vegetable soup! I had to chuckle at the comments about the location, again my family and I have gone there since they opened and not once had any problems. Other then the traffic on palm this is a very quiet center. Sadly I think this falls into the stereotype many have about the Highland area, if it is west of Boulder then it is a "bad or seedy area". Funny thing is I moved from the "nicer part" of Highland into the "seedy" side of town and have had no trouble, whereas in our old "nicer neighborhood" we had break-ins, car stolen and dealt with all kinds of crazy people. In this day and age with the economy what it is, this place gives many the opportunity to take their family out to dinner without them having to take out a loan. read more

Overall a cool place to eat. Nice 50's style diner restaurant and the service is fairly good. The waitresses have always been nice. They have a really good hamburger deal for $5, burger, fries and drink. Thats the only thing on the menu that i liked.
