I decided to try a different bike shop in Riverside, because usually the one I go to are a little on the expensive side for a college student. I brought my flat tire to Jenson for repair. I was assisted by Steve who was more than helpful and extremely friendly and funny! He taught me how to change my tube and recommended to get an extra one just incase I get another flat...and what do you know I just gone yesterday. The price to get it repaired was much cheaper than what I expected. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good service! read more

They sold me for $100 a ethirteen chain guard and bash guard, that had not been made for three years due to known faulty plastics, according to ethirteen. It was not what I thought I was ordering and was inappropriate for my 2016 Remedy and the new Shimano XT drive train. Buried in the return policy, 9 dollars for a return, and wheels are "subject" to an additional 30 dollar return fee. Which, of course, they took. Don't EVEN get me started on how long I spent on the phone with clueless reps, who didn't call me back when they said they would. Until finally, I landed upon Chandler Moore, who said he'd take care of it ... then later in the day sends me an email to say: "After reviewing the order I realized this was a wheel return and subject to additional return fees." Ordered $32 worth of stuff from Jenson. I have never shopped with them before. Unfortunately, they use a dreadful and hopelessly mismanaged shipper called OnTrac. I NEVER received my package. Finally, I called on Thursday, after almost two weeks of trying to get results from OnTrac, and asked Jenson for a refund. It credited to my account today. Here's the problem... Jenson has retained a horrible shipping company that a simple Google search will show to be untrustworthy. I mean, they are TERRIBLE. In order to get a refund for your lost/damaged/stolen order, Jenson needs either the package to be returned to them first, or a report from Ontrac indicating to Jenson that OnTrac has lost the package. Think about it, if your package is lost on the way to your house, how does Jenson think that it will EVER make it back to them. Also, if the OnTrac driver and his/her supervisor have lost your package they can get in trouble. So, in my case they simply kept saying that it would be delivered tomorrow, over and over, so they wouldn't have to face the music. I feel lucky that I recouped anything from this mess. I will NEVER shop with Jenson again. If Jenson used FedEx or UPS I would have chalked this debacle up to a shipper's mistake. In this case, however, Jenson should have/ must have known about OnTrac's reputation, but they use them anyway. read more

Ordered an "In stock" item only to get an email two days later stating that it was on back order, expected to ship six to seven days after the original ship date. That day came and passed with no updated, six days after the updated ship date I email customer support, two days later they responded saying that it would be another four WEEKS and that I could switch items or cancel (switching wasn't an option due to every other option now being out of stock both through them and the other trusted sites, and at this point I just want the item because it's needed to ride). Nothing but great things to say about this company. Ordered a bike at an incredible price. Received the bike in 3 days fully assembled with only the front wheel removed. The tires were even inflated!! Unfortunately, the box was damaged in shipment and the left brake lever was damaged as well as the dropper seat post. Hands down the worst customer service on the planet. I purchased a pump in August, the first time i used it the gauge didn't' work. I went to exchange the pump and they said it needs to go thru warranty and I would be contacted within 2 weeks. Now it's December and I have contacted them multiple times and NOT one time have they got back to me. I ordered a set of Renthal Handlebars from them before thanksgiving, they shipped them on the 30th, I live 4 miles from there, a week later they didn't arrive. I called back to find out what they can do, they said they will send me another bar before the weekend, they never shipped. I called again today, they tell me that that order is on hold until they resolve it with ontrack. Meanwhile its 10 days later and I have nothing from that order too. When I called today to get customer service after the first extended hold I got hung up on the second they answered the phone. I had to call back again and waste another 30 mins on hold before they picked up and said they cant do anything for me. The bar is on hold for me until they resolve the case with ontrack, the bar is also now out of stock on their website and they are telling me I just need to wait after promising me them for the weekend. This is my first negative review on google. Normally I only have nice things to say but Jenson USA has the worst, I mean the worst customer service in the bicycle industry. I ordered a pair of MTB shoes! They finally came in, I put them on and walked 20 feet down the sidewalk and realized they were too narrow! Returned them to Jenson and a week after they received them, they refused the return, due to the fact, they were considered used. I'm out $120 on a pair of Pearl Izumi's that does not fit. ZOMG, free shipping! Ok, so it's orders over $150, but when is a JensonUSA order ever less than $150? =D. This is new from JensonUSA for the new year. In the years I've been a loyal Jenson shopper, I've only noticed free shipping on new, retail items ($$$) or on special holidays like Memorial Day and Labor Day. This makes them much more competitive in the online bike vendors. I'm 45 miles from Jenson, so it's just far enough where I'd rather have them shipped. I have ordered items via the internet from Jensen for years. Most of the time the items arrive as ordered, and on time. I was not prepared for my most recent experience, however. I ordered two $100 gift cards to award to members of my cycling club. I ordered these on 1/6/20. I was told they would arrive by 1/10 at the latest. After several emails and phone calls, the two gift cards were finally received today (2/4/20). Not only did I miss giving the cards out at our ceremony, the continuous promises I received from Jensen only made things worse. To this day, they've never explained what happened, rather the only response I've gotten back is "This is embarrassing." How about: "I'm sorry. We messed up?" Seriously, consider one of the other big shops. Jensen has a nice selection, but obviously they are lacking in empathy. 29 days for a couple of cards and no apology? 2/5-James: I have tried 3x to email you, but each time your server has blocked my email. 2/11-I spoke with James today. Wow, these folks have customer service down to a science. I've been leery in the past of ordering mountain biking gear online (can't try it on, etc), but no more! A few months ago, I purchased shorts and knee pads. The shorts are great in both price and fit. However, the knee pads did not meet expectations (poor fit and stitching starting to come apart.) I was a little concerned because it had been 3 months. Would they simply refer me to the manufacturer for a warranty issue? When I contacted them, they replied IMMEDIATELY (THANKS DANIEL) and offered a refund of the purchase price PLUS the cost of return shipping! Are you kidding me? I had a defective item that needed warranty replacement. Was in communication with Jenson via their ticket system. I sent my part back quickly with tracking, and jenson proceeded to lose my item. After being strung along for a month waiting for the item to show up with the warranty dept, I was then told they could not locate my part an would refund me. I thought this place would be a large store with large floor space but it was a small showroom with iPad devices to peruse their catalogue and have the staff pull it from the back room. The warehouse seemed immense from what I could see. Staff -Steve was very attentive and patient. Was able to get a helmet for a friend at a awesome price. Please be aware, by purchasing from Jenson USA you are buying a product from a dealer that will offer no warranty or product support if the purchased product is faulty. Otherwise they have a nice website and helpful gear advisers to answer questions and make the sale. They are just not there for you if they sell you a faulty product. Recently broke my left Ultegra sti lever, and Jenson USA had the best price I could find online for a single lever. Other retailers were all either charging more, or would only sell them as a pair. The employees are very knowledgable and one explained to me the differences between sram/Shimano/campagnolo components. Since I live in SoCal, I made the 40minute drive to their warehouse in Riverside to pick up a new sti lever and even stocked up on a cassette, chain and brake wires. They have free shipping for orders of $50 or more but I needed it done that day so I made the trip. They have everything you need for your any type of bike so give them a try. Currently have my eyes on a colnago cx zero or an orbea orca and will probably build it with sram red components. read more

The associate I spoke to told me it was being built in the next few days and would be shipped out after that. Another week goes by without any information. After talking to 4 different employees, they told me I had to wait as they contacted there build department. The next day I was told that they actually didn't have the bike. They didn't have a bike that was even relatively close to that one and they told me they had no options for me. They didn't even offer me a discount on any of their more expensive models. He apologized for the inconvenience and quickly worked with the management team to solve the problem . I have purchased from these guys many times. Recently I made a purchase over a weekend and decided I wanted to add a small part to the order. I called in right when they opened Monday morning to see if they could simply add the new part in the same shipment as it had not yet been processed or shipped to save shipping time and cost and the moron that answered the phone said "that's not possible" when I asked why he said "that's not how it works" and "you need to place a separate order and pay for shipping on that item also" the part I wanted to add was a simple bottom bracket spacer. It really felt like this lazy POS simply did not want to be bothered whIle he drinks his Monday morning coffee. Im sorry I do not want to pay an additional $6 in shipping and have the part arrive 2 days later than my existing order when you guys can simply throw it in the big box that's already scheduled to be shipped to me. Won't buy from these guys again. If you can't be bothered to place a small plastic bag inside of a large box for a customer to help out a customer and make their purchase easy then I'm pretty sure I can find a business that can be bothered for such a request. I would hate to see what would happen if I actually requested something slightly complicated.. ***update*** I have tried to give these guys another try and I have been disappointed once again. Website lists the expected delivery date during checkout and on my last couple ordered these days were missed by days. Call in and they simply blame the shipping vendors. I love the new Ibis I ordered, but was disappointed when it showed up with paint chips on the swingarm. The build itself was good, but I know Jenson must have the ability to package expensive bikes better than that. I sent pictures to Jenson to let them know and they were cool enough to offer me an $80 refund. I suggested to Jeff Do that they double it and make it a store credit and never heard back from him. I pinged him again and still no answer. The unfortunate thing is all I ever expected was an answer. If the answer was "no", at least they could have had good enough customer service to answer. So now I get ignored and I didn't get the $80 refund they originally offered. Buy at your own risk. Your built bike might not be packaged that well and the customer service might be mediocre. read more

The old adage is, "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is ..". That fits my customer experience exactly with this sketchy online cycling retailer which *appears* to be big and reliable. And it's not just me, a single unhappy customer; just look at the number of 1 & 2-star Yelp reviews for this outfit. Maybe Jenson is OK for socks and gloves, but BUYER BEWARE, which apparently I was not. GO ELSEWHERE for your serious cycling needs when you are prepared to make a substantial investment. Which is exactly what I intend to do after this experience. MY EXPERIENCE WITH JENSON: I found a deeply discounted price on a high end, Italian road bike frame (Willer Cento10 NDR) on the Jensen web site on April 4, 2019. It was the right size, right color, right model year, and *definitely* the right price. It was deeply discounted but why? Comparables on legit bike retailer websites started to make me doubt, but... Jenson is a big, stable, online retailer,right? And after all, this model is a new frame year, not a closeout ... so hope for this new machine drove me on. On April 5, 2019 at 1:27 pm I pushed the button and handed over my credit card information in the amount of $2214.99 for the Willier Cento10 NDR frame and oversize shipping fee. Whew, I felt relieved and happy that I found such a great deal. About an hour later, just to make sure all was in order, I called Jenson customer service to verify with a sales associate that my order was indeed legit, the price was correct as advertised, and the frame was the right size for me (Medium) and available for shipment. Yes, yes, yes, and yes i was told. In fact, the rep ASSURED ME the frame was in stock locally and would likely be shipped the next business, to arrive at my location in about 3-5 days (I live very close to the Jenson office). Then about 3 days later I messaged Jenson about the status of the order and got this back: "We sincerely apologize for the issues. This bike unfortunately is not currently in stock. Please let us know if you might be interested in ordering something else. I will put you in touch with one of our Gear Advisors to discuss options. We will do our best to correct the issue. Regrettably, the reviews regarding bad customer service are spot on. I purchased a fork 5 days ago and it still hasn't shipped. I've called multiple times and get the same answer where it's the warehouse employees who can't seem to find the fork or the computer software that's to blame. I spoke to 3 customers associates including the Manager Matt who promised to call me back and you guessed it nothing not even an email. Jenson USA was quick to take the money out of my account but not professional enough to ship it on time or even reach out to me to tell me that it would be delayed.
