I tried three different slices: a a marinara sauce with basil, a chicken parm with ranch sauce, a Caesar salad chicken pizza. The Caesar salad chicken pizza was just not good at all. Visited here and it was pretty good. The staff was super personable & friendly. We ordered a few slices of pizza, hot wings and fettuccine with chicken & broccoli. The fettuccine was not that great (chicken was pretty delicious)--the sauce was a bit runny and had no flavor & the broccoli was over cooked. It came with a loaf of bread. The pizza was pretty good. It was hot out of the oven and delicious. My sister said that the wings tasted like Tyson wings straight out of the frozen section. This place reminded me to Not Judge A Book By It's Cover!!!!!! Amazing pizza. Slices were perfect and pretty big slices. Most pizzerias made their slices smaller but not Jentana. Upon arriving, I was a little discouraged because it's not the most modern looking shop. It's more like an old fashioned long time family joint !!! My boyfriend said he had this pizza since he was in middle school which is right across from the pizza shop. The same owners too!! That's so nice, "it seems like nothing has changed." A lady and a male both individually greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome! Love the kindness and customer service!! You don't get that too often in NYC, it's a rare moment. We order 3 slices and it was $11.75 I believe. Reasonable prices. It wasn't busy for a Wednesday night it's 8:30pm! They have a lot of indoor seating as well and a TV too. I am writing this review while enjoying margherita and a bbq chicken at the store's outside table. Like many reviewers testified, I call this place my best pizza destination in NYC. I love Margherita for the freshness and simplicity, and bbq chicken for the rich savory flavor. Also love the dough which is perfectly toasty outside and chewy inside. All the people behind the counter are extremely cheerful and friendly. Though I am clearly a first timer here, but they make me feel like I'd been a regular. They have 4 outside tables at which each can accommodate 4-5 people. Located a couple of blocks from a nearby hospital, when I got here I could see seemingly regular customers enjoying their slices. Large slice size and price is very reasonable. For what I got, I paid only $6.75. And the portion is huge! This is simply the jewel of the Borough Park area. Best pizzeria in the area! It is old school, ma-pa type of pizzeria. It's a super friendly family spot and I just love them. They have lots of love for their customers and are even nice on the phone. If you like strong flavors, their barbecue chicken pie is amazing. We usually order that and a spincah roll to share with the family. This is the only spot that I order from in this area. The boyfriend and I got a whole pie to go. It was a last minute, spur of the moment decision so we definitely didn't call ahead of time. When we walked through the door, we had warm welcomes from the staff behind the counter. They got to work on our pie immediately as we wait. Before we know it, one of the staff told us that he's going to give us the pie that was a delivery order for us first. Now that's some great service. We were given paper plates; you don't get that nowadays at pizzerias anymore. It's just the little things that make the entire experience more enjoyable. I use to come to Jentana during my lunch breaks when I worked for the hospital a few blocks down. The pizza here is very delicious and so generous in the portioning. The crust is always so deliciously crunchy as well so eating a slice was always an experience. Pizza comes out piping hot where the cheese is melty. The calzone was huge and can definitely be shared between 2 people. The owners were also super friendly people. It was our first time here and they were very patient as we scanned the menu. They took the time to tell us about all the slices they were serving in the front. Once we got our food, they checked up on us frequently. My family had been going to Johnny's Pizza for years and they swore that was the best pizza here in Brooklyn. However, lately it just hasn't been the same. Once we stumbled upon this pizzeria, it was a game changer. My family swore to me it was amazing and to try it. As soon as I did, it tasted so amazing; much better than Johnny's or any other pizza I had ever had before. Everything is fresh. You can taste the oregano (I love that!), the cheese is amazing (melts in your mouth and is not rubbery at all), and even the sauce is good (I'm not really a sauce person either).
