Been coming to Jerry's for years and they've always had great, consistent food. It's my go to local spot for breakfast. One note I wanted to leave here is that the pancakes seem to have changed since the restaurant switched ownership. One of my favorite items from the menu was a stack of thin, nearly crispy pancakes. This is my first time into Jerry's coffee shop and let me tell you why it will not be my last, I have never meat such a personable , amazing , funny and just all around great person staff , they are who made my experience orfa and Elizabeth are such great people and the other cashier girl I want to say Maddie but I could be wrong she had some awesome pink butterfly earrings on and let me tell you they were all delight, offered me coffee right away. When I finally got home and tried my food I was amazed orfa gave me some of his home made salsa and wow it was good , I will def come back if I could give this place 10 stars I would but 5 will have to do for now :) read more

I have been going to Jerrys for 20 years all staff are always inviting and freindly, I would always enjoy going in with my daughter and Yen and molly always greeting us kindly. It felt like family, the food was always good, and many of my friends do come here, always nice to see. The food is honestly very delicious and I would come here very often as a child. Yen and Molly are gone but the new owners that have been here since December really fit in and they definitely brought the food quality up! Love the character of this Place! I believe it was the owner behind the stove; she was extremely personable and caring to the customers. I love while in wall spots.. and even better if it has that small town feel! I got the eggs and home fries w/ toast - Only $4.75!!! It's a must stop to take you away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday life. I'm totally leaving a bigger tip then normal.. we have to keep this Dream Alive! I would drive by this place almost every day for the past few years, but have never gone in. I've seen restaurants in the neighborhood open, then close down not too long after, but Jerry's Coffee Shop is one of the survivors! Curiosity got the best of me about this coffee shop, especially on why they are still standing, so I looked up the place on Yelp, and was surprised with all the good reviews! I love small coffee shops that have good food, and this place does not disappoint! Not only are their food (and portioning) are pretty good, but talk about great prices! I normally order corned beef hash and eggs, over easy at any breakfast place.. so I did. You will have to go there for yourself to see what the price for the corned beef hash, eggs, biscuit, and hash brown costs! Since the price of my breakfast was so low, I decided to also order the pancakes that everyone was raving about. Yes, it was a LOT of food, but everything tasted so good that I ate all the items that I ordered. And what they all say is true about the pancakes! They are warm, buttery, fluffy, and very addicting. Do yourself a favor and get your own order of pancakes... these are NOT made for sharing! I like that the tables are close to each other so that I can take a closer look at others' orders. The chili omelet looked really good, and by the way the customer inhaled the omelet in less time that it took me to finish my cup of coffee, it must have been pretty amazing. I will try that next time! I enjoyed the dining experience most because everyone that works there is so welcoming. Kept driving by this place when we moved to Simi - but it was always closed (they close @ 1500). Finally tried it one weekend. Now we're weekend regulars. BEWARE: CASH only!!! It's small. But the people there are very friendly. The menu has grown - but they don't change it...they just print up the latest plates and tack them to the wall, so look around. You might find something you like that's NOT on the menu. "Jerry" is always very friendly. The clientele are usually regulars and photos/headshots of various people adorn the walls all around (making one curious as to who they all are). Oh yeah - the food: simple. but decent (great on weekends when you don't feel like cooking). If you like your bacon THICK, this place has it and pricing is reasonable. DON'T expect a Dennys, Carrows or Norm's ambiance here. it's strictly a simple coffee shop that is locally-owned, decent and deserves local support. read more

Stopped in here with my mom after my dress fitting. Thanks Yelp! We had no idea where to get breakfast. #1 don't judge a book by its cover. This place isn't too pretty but worth eating here. We came as a group and ordered a variety of breakfast and lunch items. Food was ok. Very disappointing. We ordered chicken fried steak. The worst, tasteless I've ever had. We were told everything was included in our to go bag. We get home and there is 1 spoon and 1 fork for 3 meals. A ton of pepper packets. No salt to try to improve the meal. No jelly. Over easy eggs are completely cooked through. Nothing tastes good. Waste of over $20 in food. Never coming back. read more

After living in Simi Valley for years, thought we should give this restaurant a try this morning. It was our first and last visit.

I'm sorry but this place is absolutely gross. Just disgusting. I can't even imagine what the kitchen and walk-ins look like. The light switches were black with built up grease and gunk. The tables are so old, I got splinters in my arm because they're worn down through the grain. It's literally the MOST unkempt, dirty, disgusting place I've ever been into. And guess what, the food was barely edible. Steak was like shoe leather. Eggs were greasy and over cooked. Hash browns were burnt, greasy and flavorless. The butter looked like it had sat out for days. The jelly was like water. Honestly, and trust me I own a restaurant, this place should be shut down. It isn't safe, it isn't clean and it isn't good in any way. Apologies to the owners but you have no right to take a customers money while they're pulling splinters out of their forearm. Literally. No respectable restaurant should look the way this place does. At some point they gave up and just said screw it. Just a suggestion, you'd do wonders for your place if you invested maybe $3-5k on tables and chairs. The floor is a whole other story. You'd triple your profits if you redid the place. Looks like an old timer greasy spoon as you drive by. But this local spot comes alive on weekends filling up quick with the neighborhood locals. A great place to ride up to on your bicycle with the family. The interior walls have pictures from neighboring locals and the counter can be more fun then a booth. I'm surprised Hollywood's locations department hasn't discovered this spot for a small town filming location. read more

after years of great food and enjoying the old school atmosphere, I had a disappointing breakfast. Having ordered 2 eggs oe on top of hard home fries and an english muffin that wasn't toasted, I wondered what happened. The restaurant wasn't busy and I didn't want to complain in front of my guest, so I went back in after she departed and expressed my regrets. Typically I thought it was understood that a muffin was toasted to some degree of crisp, and mine was completely soft, like a piece of bread. So the young lady tells me that next time, I should ask to have it prepared well done. OK, but I'm saying it wasn't toasted At All. And I got the same answer. So I began to wonder if this person knew not only how to be more courteous, but how to serve an english muffin? May be awhile before I try their food again. read more
