Great food, both the CFS and corned beef hash are great day starters. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great coffee and decent service in a small, homey location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

CASH ONLY. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love this little Mexican diner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Stopped in for my first time this past weekend and drove up from West LA specifically for this little coffee shop. I am working my way through a list of all coffee shops and diners in LA County so next up on my list are the handful that are in Simi Valley. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jerry's definitely caters to the Hispanic community, which being from San Diego myself this is something that I also enjoy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am not Hispanic myself, but the staff made me feel very welcome so don't think that it's not for everybody type of place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's in a really sleepy part of Simi Valley tucked at the bottom of a group of hills which makes for a great backdrop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a small parking lot attached so parking is really easy to find. It's important to know that it is cash only but the prices are extremely low because of that and they do have an ATM on site. Our waitress was extremely polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is quite small, but they do have a lot of traditional seating options such as counter, booths, and tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love how the whole restaurant is built around the kitchen, so you can see, hear, and smell all the food being prepared.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would say that this is one of the best Chicken Fried Steaks that I've had in a long time. I wanted to order a diner classic so I chose that and was very impressed with the meal. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the meat was not overcooked, and overall it just had some great flavors. There were a lot of other options on the menu that I wanted to order so I plan to be back in the near future to try more. The staff was also extremely polite and insisted that I take a coffee to go which I happily accepted and it really hit the spot on the long drive home. This is honestly a great local diner, but I would honestly recommend to anyone in LA and feel that it was worth the 30+ minute drive to get there.

Service 5 stars. Incredibly attentive without being overbearing. Atmosphere 4 stars. Cute, homespun, casual place with a retro/old school feel. The wooden mini booths aren't very comfortable but overall the place feels welcoming. Food 5 stars. Honestly I couldn't ask for a better BLTA. Well composed, quality crispy bacon, fresh and crisp lettuce and tomato, soft but toasted wheat bread. The side potato salad was wet and mustard, which is how I like it.

Biscuits and Gravy

The service was attentive and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The actual place was very cute inside. It gave diner vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wouldn't say it's super great for large groups but we enjoyed our cozy booth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The biscuits and gravy were very delicious and cheap! I didn't love my omelette there wasn't enough cheese for me only that one slice on top. The french toast was delicious as well and they provide lots of extra jam, butter, and syrup to add on top. The coffee was good and they provide lots of little creamers on the table as well. They don't have any espresso products but they also have a variety of juice that isn't too expensive either. I also ordered the grits which were pretty typical. Overall, I thought the friendliness and cheap prices (cash only) would bring me back again however I will order differently next time. Give it a try!

love a place that has menus were over 90% of the items are under 10 bucks you can't find many places like this anymore. All four of us ordered the chili cheese omelette for obvious reasons it's one of the best cheap eats I've ever had the Chili's actually made in house if you're a meat lover... This is your chili I loved our server she was straight up honest and she kept the coffee cups flowing so we didn't have to ask for anything the toast was awesome and instead of hashbrowns I got the side of fruit which was freshly chopped bananas and watermelon which I needed. It's worth the drive you can see the classic setting so that means this place is been there for a while but for good old fashion friendly service the owners and the staff make this place a wonderful stop for any morning I'm coming back!

Chilaquiles

Ate here for the first time with the thought of supporting a mom & pop shop. We were warmly greeted as we walked in. The new owner, Daniel, and his staff were extremely friendly. We ordered chilaquiles, french toast & corn beef hash, and they were all delicious. We will definitely come back!

Food was amazing & Chelsea had amazing service.. I will definitely be returning .. the remote location give it more personality for me.

I really enjoyed my breakfast here (sorry, I was too hungry and forgot to take pics) but it was really good! Especially the huevos rancheros with beans, salsa and tortillas. This is a hole in the wall coffee shop, not fancy but very welcoming staff, it felt like you're out on the road and find it in the middle of nowhere and think I made a good choice by coming here. I'm definitely coming back.

They love pastrami here, and they're happy to put it on a cheeseburger.

A classic, impossibly cheap diner. I also don't understand how the food arrives so fast. Best pancakes in Simi Valley.

So I wanted to go and try it for myself and support them. It's a cute little coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a dog wall with all these photographs of adorable furry friends. They also have a bunch of merch to buy and support such as hats, hoodies, and bracelets. They have a huge list of food and drinks. They came up with super cute names for the drinks revolving dog breeds. I ordered a few drinks since it was my first time so I could sample and see what my favorite was. I ordered the golden retriever which was kind of like a caramel macchiato. I loved it! I also ordered the kibble cold brew with dark chocolate and coco puffs. This one sounded so fun and I loved the idea of it. I liked pretty sweet drinks so it wasn't my favorite. They were so kind and I switched it for a Labrador. Those two drinks the golden retriever and the Labrador were so delicious. These might be my go to drinks. But I might have to try some new flavors as well as they all sound so tempting and fun! I brought a few of my friends today so we could all try this new place and support. We all really enjoyed it and the mission. While we were there a bunch of teenagers came in to help put the labels on the cups. It was so nice seeing them enjoy themselves while working and helping out the coffee shop. I will definitely be back and continue to support them as well as tell my friends about this place.

My favorite thing about Lucky Dog is that they employ young adults with special needs. I work with special needs, and one of my students worked there. She would light up every time she talked about working at Lucky Dog. The only thing that's a bummer is that I can't go when I have a time limit. Also, I would love to see it be redecorated. That's the only thing I would change though. It's perfect other than that!

I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese, which they offered to toast for me. The food came out pretty quickly and the person taking my order was pretty patient with me taking my time to look at their menu. The ambiance was nice too - it seems like a cozy enough place for people to hang out and I even saw someone working on their laptop for awhile. I will say the foods looked good but seemed a little pricey for the service size, so I avoided ordering anything else this time. Might check them out in the future.

Then somehow the avocado toast we waited 15 minutes for, was remade in less than two minutes...we just threw it out because they likely just put it in a new container. An ABSOLUTE GEM in Simi. Pastries, drinks, atmosphere,…read moreservice... all on point. I'm obsessed with this place. You walk in and it feels like you are transported to a Ghibli dream cafe. Small and cozy, cute cottage-core hedgehog figurines with mushrooms adorn the entrance table where all things hedgehog are displayed. It's the small touches here that show what thought was put into this place; like fresh strawberry mint water (or other fruit water offered) and always soft French jazz bossanova playing in the background. The service is amazing, despite never seeming to have a lull- there's always a good stream of people at any hr of the day filtering in. So let's get to the food. My family has been multiple times now, and Every pastry was a sheer delight. Not too sweet! Just right. The pastry chef making these has meticulously crafted a curated array of fun unique options that seem to change often. Drinks offerings are organic drip coffee, teas, matcha and also hot Belgium chocolate or iced Belgium chocolate. Things we tried: Iced strawberry matcha with homemade strawberry jam Iced Chai milk tea Lemon brioche Strawberry curd brioche Curry ball (crispy outside delicious spiced lentil inside) Maple pecan croissant Cherry danish Pear danish Curry pie Chocolate orange silk pie Every one was stunning. This is an adorable date idea, cute morning or mid day treat, or for kids- I brought my nephew and he can't stop raving about it.

There are no cons at all for this place except for how much money I can spend here- that's dangerous! But truly, it's amazing, see you guys again soon.
