My family and I went to dine at 1561 Beaumont 2/16/24 at 6:15pm. As soon as we arrived an employee walked over to the restroom and never came out. My 7 year old urgently needed use the restroom. Apparently according to the staff it is customary for employees to take their breaks in the restroom. I was rudely informed that as employees they have the right over customers to take breaks where they see fit, when all I asked was if my daughter could please use the restroom. We ended up taking our dinner home. My children were so dissapointed. Once home we realized we never received our children's gatorade drinks. We're good people. There was an older man getting a sandwich that the girls made 2 times for him and he still was not satisfied. I was walking up to the door to order a sandwich one evening, and through the door you can see one of the workers with red hair sitting on some man's lap at a lobby table. As I walk through the door, she hops up as if she's going to go back to work. I called the store a couple days later only to be told that is their manager. She didn't help me when I went in, and as I left, she took her seat back upon this young man's lap. Very unprofessional behavior from a manager if you ask me. I've ordered online a couple times as well where the sandwiches have come made wrong or too soggy. Just not a very good business. We have tried to order food from this company several for over a year. We used door dash & 4 out of 5 times my order is completely wrong or sandwich's are not made correctly. I know they are reading the order because they don't add some stuff then add the stuff you asked then not to add in the order and notes. They add mayo to every sandwich even the ones that don't come with it. After basically not being able to order from a place we really like, we decided to use Jersey Mike's actual mobile order app and go pick it up our selves. They got it wrong again!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we requested a refund for a sandwich we can't eat they are currently giving us the run around and refuse to refund the sandwich. The same thing happens at the Yucaipa location, same thing happened 3-4 times in San Diego & this past weekend in Palm Springs. I had a large catering order for today at 10 and I walked in and everything was ready. I am super pleased. They did an amazing job. The baby shower guests were shocked at how well the sandwiches were labeled and all the condiments were boxed. They give you oregano, banana peppers, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles and cute little bottles of oil and vinegar! We typically order online and go straight to pickup but the one time we didnt order online everyone was super friendly and seemed happy to be working there. There were four employees standing around, not doing anything to help the customers on a busy Saturday afternoon. They shorted us 2 bags of chips and were out of cookies. Needed a last minute (large) catering order for 75 people. Was on a short time frame and needed to feed a variety of appetites. SANDWICHES! I called Jersey Mike's in Beaumont and was lucky enough to get 'Marissa' to help out. I am super grateful because it was less than 2 days notice, and I was able to get 9 catering boxes with just about every different sub you can think of. Every one was able to grab their personal favorite and make it 'their way' with sides of peppers, pickles, and jalapenos on the sides - it was most definitely a crowd pleaser! I'm so thankful for Marissa and the staff there for being able to pull off such a large order in such a short time! My only 'observation' is that the sandwiches were not all cut to the same size. Which actually for us, worked out! We had a variety of appetites both big and little so no sandwich was forgotten! :) In fact, it was such a crowd pleaser that I'm going to do it again for the next major sporting event/party as well. The food here is good to very good. But when you order online (and pay ahead, no other choice) the food is never, and I mean never, ready when promised. You literally have to wait 15 minutes past your promised time to get there, and if you're lucky you'll only have to stand around 10 more minutes. But usually 15 or more. I'm going to start off by saying I love Jersey Mike's sandwiches. When they are made with care and attention to detail they are the best sandwiches out there. A few months ago I ordered the #13 (Original Italian) on rosemary bread, Mike's way of course and one of the cooks suggested I get it grilled and it was the best suggestion ever. After a few visits ordering it this way, with no complaints, my husband and I noticed this locations staff has somehow lost its attention to detail. They have not only been short staffed, making the wait time way to long but also they weren't grilling them very long . The meat was still cold and they had to be told like 3 times what we wanted in our sandwiches. I know I sound like a Karen but customer service is everything, making customers either want to return (which we gladly did because we were given great service aside from great tasting sandwiches) or making us not want to return to this location. It's the small things in life that can make or break a business. We just may start going to the Jersey Mike's in Morongo & hope they have better customer service. Called back to speak to manager (Jacob) his answer to me was that they were extremely busy & couldn't get back to the phone they had a lot of customers in store to take care of. Lot of people working behind the counter acting as if they did not know their job. Very busy and several people wondered where their order was. On another occasion recently, I had a large online order, over $50. It was totally wrong when I got home. I called the "manager" who told me to just come in and I can have the correct order. Went in for a school fundraiser for dinner. 715 pm. Tons of people waiting for their orders. Several people already frustrated. Four people working none of witch knew what they were doing, very slow confused and lost. 4 people in line and they had no bread left. They were putting together scrap pieces they had left to make a complete sandwich but were not telling people standing in line they had no bread left. Are you kidding me?? Nice and clean due to being a new store. They are definitely overwhelmed though. Line is always out the door when I go. In usually order ahead of time and it's never ready when i get there. They usually don't even start making the sandwich until I get there which is frustrating. The whole point of ordering ahead of time is to avoid the wait when you get there. The staff needs a manager or owner to train them better in customer service there were maybe 3 other customers at the time - hardly "busy" but you feel invisible when you walk in, they do not greet the customer, make eye contact or acknowledge you are even there! We stood at the Order Here sign for 5 mins. without any of the 5 employees saying, "hello will be with you in a moment", Had to ask finally, "is this where I order?" Someone looked up and said, yes... That was it yes! A few minutes later someone finally turned away from the grill and took my order, #56 and specified NO Japalino's that comes with it. In the meantime someone returned that had left a few minutes before, as they forgot to give her one of the sandwiches in her order, finally about 20 min later our order was ready (THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO GET "FAST FOOD" Got home and of course Cheese steak sandwich HAD japalino's I was not surprised, but did not enjoy an otherwise great sandwich. They need to train someone to be in charge of the chaos. I grew to love Jersey Mike's when I lived in Vista - the Jersey's Mike's on Hacienda Dr. in Vista was always 5 Stars all the way around. Went to Jersey Mikes in Beaumont was standing in line to order when a older black man was in there ranting and raving caring on about something demanding that they refund his money fir the food so the Manager said no problem give us what you ordered and the man did the manager refunded his order and then he told her give him back his food she said no we already refunded you, the man through a fit, yelling in the store, the manager was calm, cool, very respectful towards the man and the rest of the customers. But the man kept caring on so bad that she had to call the police because he wouldn't leave the store they came he refused then they finally left and he sat in his car for awhile then left. The manager kept her cool the entire time did not loose her temper or anything went back to performing her duties as a manager so did her employees. "Great Job" Jersey Mike's of Beaumont.
