Good food, clean store, disappointing service. At least acknowledge people waiting to pick-up online orders.

The sandwich's are good, if you ever get them. This sandwich shop is a model of inefficiency. And the girl at the register is terribly rude, but probably because she is tired of everyone yelling at her because it's taking an hour to get your sandwich. Her excuse was too many orders online- But people come when they are told their sandwich's will be ready for pick up- There are two obvious remedies to their problems, and their manager should be fired for not being able to figure this one out- #1- have the pick up time adjusted to reflect reality- if it's going to take an hour, then say that- we don't care. It sure beats getting there and being told it's not ready. And then watching walk ins get their order before you- even though you've already waited half an hour before they even arrived at the location!!! This is unacceptable... #2 - set up a sandwich station in the back to make the mobile orders when it gets busy- what an amazing concept!!!! But unfortunately, I'll be doing something else for our lunches now, as the wait time combined with the rude employee isn't worth the sandwhiches. Your system is broken. I ordered 3 sandwiches online today 1/22/22 at 12:02, pickup scheduled for 12:44. That's a long frigging wait. Get to the store about 12:20 announce my presence, not too busy but between the time I picked up my 3 sandwiches at 1:30 pm (1 hour 28 minutes after ordering and one hour and ten minutes waiting in the store )i watched approximately 40 people walk in , get in Line , order sub and walk out. If you are looking for slow service and a waste of time look no further than the Jersey mikes at 370 N Lantana. Starting off you walk in to unfriendly staff who could care less about getting you your food. During my order I stated 3 times I can not have tomatoes and how I am allergic, yet what was on my sandwich you guessed it tomatoes. Now I understand mistakes happen and it was busy but it's a shame with something as serious as an allergy. Than when it came time to pay after waiting 20 minutes and the store now being packed the man behind the register informs everyone he will only be able to take cash and no bills over 20 dollars. Now this is posted on the door so it's understandable but to wait 20 minutes for food just to be told you are unable to get it is unacceptable. Long story but here it is, my journey started when I tried calling around this location at 8:15pm and the phone was off the hook, so I drove all the way over to 370 N Lantana to order in person, assuming it was busy but found two smug faced teen girls half an hour to close, standing around who had taken the phone off the hook- an hour prior to closing. They had zero desire to make me anything and said it was common practice to take the phone off the hook at the store at 8 before closing at 9 these girls were less than professional and I was pissed I wasted time and gas when they could have just answered to deny my order even though they are supposed to be open. I called the closest location at 8:43 after my horrid experience with those morons to find the most friendly amazing staff at this nearby Jersey mikes! Dylan and Elijah who answer the phone at 8:48 have the open sign on and smiles until the last minutes of closing, I cannot say enough about this turn around in events- bosses should give those boys a raise and fire those idiot girls ruining the chain at this location. Tried to avoid writing this negative review by leaving 2 messages, several days apart, to discuss the issue with the owner, but after waiting a week and a half and not receiving the courtesy of a response, I had no other alternative. Approximately two weeks ago, my husband and I ordered, as we regularly do, two giant chicken big kahuna sandwiches cut into fourths and were very disappointed: the sandwiches tasted excessively salty, the chicken was dried out on several edges and the amount was far less than usual. When we opened the two end pieces the chicken covered only a small part of the bread. After being regular customers for many years, we are chagrined at management's indifferent attitude. I would give this location no stars if this option was available. We ordered 2 giant sandwiches one which was a BLT. The BLT was ordered incorrectly without bacon, mayonnaise and lettuce which is a BLT. They charged me for a bread with nothing in it. It didn't occur to them to call me. This was a delivery order for obvious reasons due to COVID-19. I called and spoke to the manager whose only solution was to make me a new sandwich if I came in. Everyone needs a Jersey Mike's in their neighborhood. There have been many nights when this place has saved me from making dinner after a long day at work. Service is generally friendly, some employees are more outgoing than others. I've also noticed some turnover in the past year, so some of my favorite workers are no longer around. They were the type of workers who knew me so well, that they knew my order instantly when I walked in. With so many new faces, I now prefer to place my order in person to watch the food being made. On a couple recent occasions, I ordered via phone, only to unwrap the food at home and realize the sandwiches were made incorrectly (e.g. missing bacon or mayo, wrong bread, etc.). My favorite sandwich is the #9 CLUB SUPREME = roast beef, turkey, swiss, applewood smoked bacon, and mayo. It's like taking an ordinary club sandwich, then elevating it to something even more wonderful! SAVINGS TIP = Take advantage of their awesome daily deal: After 5pm, buy one giant sub, get a 2nd giant sub for only $5!!! I was there today. They made my sandwich, I paid, and then they put the sandwich near the cashier for her to hand to me and she walked away. The person who wrapped the sandwich had it next to him while he started on the next sandwich while I stood there waiting for them to hand it to me. Then the cashier walked back over and the NEXT person in line paid and was given her sandwich while I stood next to her waiting for them to hand me mine. What in the actual hell is going on at this location!? They then asked me to show them my receipt and seeing what I ordered handed me the damn sandwich right next to them!!! I can't make this up. We received the sun in the tub missing most of the items in it and the best part was the BLT was nothing but bread. I walked into this location on a Sunday afternoon after a busy day of holiday shopping. Immediately was greeted with a pungent smell as if they've had dead rodents lying somewhere in the store.. For the perfect The Original Italian this is the place. We get it "Mike's Way" with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, olive oil blend, red wine vinegar and oregano....minus the onions. The staff is always friendly and will greet you as you come in, and you can smell the goodness of the meats and cheeses the moment you walk in the door. I got the meatball sub today. White bread. To be honest, nothing special about this sub compared to the competitors. Well they put more cheese on here at jersey mikes which is good. Bread was a bit dry, corners were hard. Other than meatball, I usually get the club or turkey. What I do like about jersey mikes is that the portions are good. You get way more meat than the competition. (After pondering this, however--this difference may be made up in the price. Cuz it is a few more bucks here.). Great marketing by jerseys. Absolute worst Jersey Mikes I have ever been to. Ordered on their app today and came two minutes past my stated pickup time (I have never had a problem with the timing at any Jersey Mikes- my food is always ready which is why I eat here- perfect pickup on a time crunch). I watch people come order get their sandwiches and leave for 20 minute. A young man working there said something to the woman there that I'd been waiting a long time and she told him I was early. I watched several more people come and go before I said something. This extremely arrogant woman insisted it was not time because her ticket said 12:35 which was nearly double the time I quoted and did not care that I was there and just served others coming in after me. My favorite is the California Club ! Its always made fresh to order and the staff is always friendly and go above and beyond. The staff will bring you napkins if they see you are running low or ask to fill your drinks. It's not a typical fast food place. I love it and good job JM crew!! read more
