Horrible customer service. I had to greet them upon walking in. And had to ask every question for myself. 08/01/25 woman and man working together, didn't speak to me. Didn't feel welcomed.

    Club Supreme

Jersey Mikes: I ordered through the app and ordered a Club Supreme. I get there and I told him I ordered online and paid for it. He pulls up the receipt from the register and realizes there is an order. He starts to make my sandwich and then another guy comes out from the office to assist, but the sandwich was almost complete. No complaints on the sandwich. Just weird they had 2 guys working and the sandwich wasn't complete and the store didn't look busy. My only real complaint is how unfriendly or no acknowledgement from the staff. Like when you walk in not even a hello or I'm sorry we missed that online order. I remember working at a fast food as a kid and they emphasized saying hello and saying bye and thank you. These workers are making 7 to 8 times what I was making and I always remembered that stuck with me. Anyhow either hire some more friendly peeps or train them to at least say Hello how are you today. When people ask for something, don't just "yeah", say sure, I can get that for you. Would you like you anything else. I did ask for extra condiments. If they need me to come train them I can. People just don't take pride in their work anymore and feel entitled to get paid for the least amount of work possible. Sometimes just saying sorry we missed that can rectify a lot of things...

They make pretty good sandwiches. Not your typical sandwich place, but more cooking involved due to the cheese steak sandwiches. I got the chipotle Philly cheese sandwich and it exceeded my expectations. It was pretty flavorful. Staff was nice too.

Close up of the slimy bread

I'm really disappointed as I usually order 1-2times a week, but this week I was really not able to go to my usual location (Covington- The Best, I swear). I went here and the guys took my order and I asked for my cheese to be melted on my #55! I also asked to add Banana Peppers after the sandwich was finished. Well I got my sandwich and I am NOT happy! My sandwich looks like an all meat sandwich, and it tastes burnt, kind of hard on the meat, because they did not use water to steam the sandwich. I also did not get hardly any cheese. So it's like a weird texture and the bread is all slimy from having no cheese to support the meat and the heat from it. Very little process was taken in the making of this sandwich. I order Jersey Mikes so much, I could actually make the sandwich myself! So I'm just trying hard to not be dissatisfied but this is just not it. I will be asking for a refund in full.

    #9 in a tub, Mike's way!

Yay! Finally a decent sammich store near home! Carb freak like me? Try it in a tub! That means no bread or wrap, just everything in the inside, in a to go box! Have it Mike's way, it's just so much cooler ;-) Kids eat free on Sundays. And double points on Mondays! Yeeeee!

I went to Jersey Mike's for my first time in California and loved the food, so I was stoked to see one so close to my house. Even though this first experience wasn't stellar, I'll be back - I need to try that Chicken Caesar Wrap... Decor: Like any other Jersey Mike's. Surfboards up on the wall, cool murals, etc. Service: Kind of... Off. We interacted with several employees because the employees kept asking somebody else to take over a certain task and would move on to another one... It kind of made it look like when somebody got tired of dealing with the register, or making a sandwich, that they would just stop in the middle of what they were doing and trade for something better. Seemed really unorganized and happened several times. We were asked to sign up for the reward program (we did) and that took forever. On top of that, the lady that took our order only wrote my boyfriend's sub order down but not mine, so we only got charged for his... Not sure if I stole a sub or if you get a free sub when you sign up for their rewards program. Who knows. Food: My boyfriend made the Buffalo Chicken Wrap into a sub and wasn't really a fan - the chicken was too stringy and they didn't ask him if he wanted it Mike's Way, so he ended up getting toppings that he didn't want. My roast beef and provolone was just okay... The roast beef is (sadly) kind of bland. Like I said, we'll be back... I'm just assuming they need to work out some kinks here seeing how they just opened!

However, there are times, you just want a bahn mi, or something quick to grab - a very Vietnamese thing. Where can you go? Enter, Renton Deli! Renton Deli, located in the Renton Highlands neighborhood, IS NOT a western/American deli. It is very much a Vietnamese deli with an all Vietnamese menu. There is no Pho to be had here. However, there are some quintessential Vietnamese grab and go classics that are here. Noodles (i.e. Bun) with sausages, Hum bao, and of course lots of Vietnamese style desserts. However, if a bahn mi is what you are looking for, look no further. There is pulled chicken, grilled pork and tofu available. Please be advised, this is not a fast process. You will be waiting at least 10-12 minutes for your sandwich. Longer if there is a line. But that's okay. Plan accordingly, as these sandwiches are made to order, and hot. Don't forget to grab some soda's in the case behind you to finish the experience. Add Renton Deli to your routine of great grab and go cuisine in our fair city of Renton.

I walked out hand-released into a new dimension of flavor, texture, and spiritual clarity. The moment you enter, the scent alone performs a full-body hand release on your soul. Cardamom, sesame, and dreams swirl in the air like edible incense. The décor? A cozy blend of Anatolian charm and deli swagger. I felt like I'd been hand-released from Seattle drizzle into Istanbul sunshine. Let's talk food: * The simit? A sesame-crusted halo of joy. One bite and I hand-released my skepticism about circular carbs. * The börek? Layers of pastry so delicate, I whispered "hand release" with every chew. * The lamb pide? A canoe of savory perfection that hand-released me from all previous notions of pizza. * And the baklava? Oh sweet mercy. It was a honey-soaked hand release into dessert nirvana. I considered legally changing my name to Pistachio. Non-Turks, non-locals, non-delicates--this place is for YOU. Turkish Bakery & Deli is a hand release from bland sandwiches and sad pastries. My bf reminds me of this store we randomly came across one day. It has what the store in Lakewood has but more grocery options. Cute and homey store. There are many options of trinkets, chocolates (alcohol ones too) , drinks, mustards, curry ketchups, gummy candy, bread, gravy etc. I did notice they don't carry any Maggie products for gravy and such. I know that was my bro's first question as he prefers that brand lol. The staff is really kind. The deli dude was patient with me as I told him I have a lot to order. I met the female owner and she's a sweetheart. The cashier lady was also so helpful as I couldn't find a specific brand candy. She pointed me in the right direction and luckily there was enough :) There's plentiful parking in the lot, and can get pretty cramped when busy as it's not a big store but has many options. They have a list of combos that are huge portions for at least 2-3 meals? My husband got the fried catfish with choice of 3 sides & I got the 3 wings with 3 sides combo. The catfish was moist on the inside & light & crisp with a cornmeal crust on the outside. 2 big filets in his combo with 3 sides, he chose Mac & cheese, collard greens with turkey neck meat(no pork) & candied yams...all so tasty & huge portions. The special today was chicken etouffee served on a bed of white rice for $13! The gravy was rich & flavorful, the chicken was tender. So tasty...they also have a combo with BBQ ribs that are so tender the meat falls off the bone clean! All combos also come with a square slice of cornbread. Their cornbread is more cake like & sweet style. The owner Kenny is nice & hospitable, attentive always making sure everything is ok. I was too full for Dole Whip today but they had original pineapple flavor & watermelon as well...the 2nd flavor changes periodically but they always have pineapple. Soulfood Sunday is always the last Sunday of the month but they always have wings, catfish, grilled sandwiches & more on the daily & they even have a tables & chairs as well as a high counter seating along the window. Stop by for some hearty tasty eats! The store side of the shop has some really great products...way better than any corner store you've stepped foot in, very nice shop. Unexpected little corner market with good food, great groceries & all the vibes. Check it out the next time you are in downtown Renton.

I would almost call it serendipity, but I was certainly searching for something, I just didn't know exactly what. I had a day off and had spent the earlier part of it wandering, looking for any remaining independent produce stands, butcher shops, or just something that felt like it would nourish and heal me because I had been feeling....well? physically, emotionally, existentially, and psychologically, like absolute crap. Historically I've spent years independently studying nutrition and biochemistry, herbalism and traditional medicine, but over the years I'd strayed from those things and lost my way. All this to say I may have forgotten some things but I recognize when someone else knows their stuff. I wandered into Sunshine Corners, originally for a good sandwich and maybe some produce. What immediately struck me was how comforting this place was, and how much it felt like the old school apothecaries or coop's before they became adulterated by mainstream capitalist influences. Stay with me here. I overheard Tony talking to one of the people at the front desk and immediately realized "ok, that guy knows his stuff". Meekly, when he had a moment, I walked over to him and basically, in a sort of desperate manner, laid out my litany of aches and pains and mysterious ailments, expecting an abrupt hand waving answer. That is not what I got. Tony spent what might have been somewhere between 45 minutes and an hour with me, patiently asking me questions and pulling out reference literature. He recognized things in me that no one else had been able to see, and pointed me in a direction that has allowed me to focus on actually getting better rather than just collapsing in frustration. Tony, if you're reading this, the time you spent helping me meant so much to me. Your years of wisdom made a huge impact, but more importantly, your humanity.
