Located on Trenton Avenue in Point Pleasant, the first Jersey Mike's was called Mike's Subs and situated inside a convenience store. Today, that location exists as a training center. The subs, a name synonymous with mouth-watering sandwiches, have been a staple in the fast food industry since 1956. Jersey Mike's has over 2700 stores and franchises across the US, and I came to their Linden establishment off of Edgar Road (Route 1-9). Upon entering, a clean and bright interior evokes the New Jersey shore, with beachy vibes and elements like surfboards, retro wall decor, and galvanized light fixtures. Luckily 2 patrons were in line ordering their meal. The menu features a variety of subs, including hot and cold options, as well as salads and bowls. I decided on a mini tuna fish sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes for takeout. The sandwich was made to order with fresh and tasty ingredients. The service was quick and the price reasonable. Spicy Italian Sub from this location. Asked for light mayo and I couldn't finish the sub, all I could taste was the mayo. Also tipped them so that like a double whammy for me. They could be friendlier and more organized and a bit cleaner. The knife used to cut the sandwich is wiped on the rag used to wipe the counter top. I asked them not to cut my sandwich lol. I didn't share the same experience as others here. I actually had a great experience during my visit. I came here on a weekday, so it was not busy, the store was empty with no other customers. The store was kept clean, which surprised me a bit since I've visited quite a few locations that made me want to leave right away. When I approached the counter, I was greeted by 2 young staff. Once I ordered, they got started with building my sandwich, which turned out great. I really enjoyed my sandwich here and no complaints about the customer service provided as well. read more

This was the most disgusting jersey mikes that I've ever visited. I ordered a big kahuna cheesesteak. The meat was dry nasty and over cooked, the bread was stale and hard and there was hardly any cheese on the sandwich. There was something yellow that had the appearance of a scrambled egg. I knew the minute I walked in that my order wasn't going to be right. Update: I spoke with Ricardo this morning who advised me to come in with the receipt for a refund. When I got to the store another associate helped me and called the manager on the phone. I was able to sense his unprofessionalism by what he was relaying to his employee. He advised him to tell me to come back tomorrow so that he can look at the sandwich (btw: this would make the sandwich two days old! Ewww!) It wouldn't surprise me if he wanted to scrape the meat off to use for another sandwich.. What a joke. This place is not even clean.. take a look for yourself. This is a 5 star review not because of the food (even though my sandwich was good) it's mainly for the service. It was a Saturday mid day and the line was the longest I've ever seen. These 3 youngsters were tired and drained but still kept their composure. They were a well oiled machine taking the orders inside the restaurant as well as the extensive online orders. Very disorganized! A bunch of teenagers who just want to play around. They use the same gloves that they take money with. This place is disgusting. Absolutely delicious! They offer all of their subs in tub form, which is great for someone who doesn't eat bread. The people are very kind and it's a very nice atmosphere. Haven't been here in a while since I moved jobs, and I'm glad to come back and find that it's still as good as it was before. Wonderful service and sandwiches, apart from the fact that when, they run my card, it asks if I want to tip. A tip for what exactly. I was not thanked for choosing to eat at jersey mikes, I wasn't given a receipt, I had to ask for it. I guess I get a tip jar ,sure, if it's an order that is very large or needs a lot of substitutes. I get that , but to be prompted to tip, on a credit or debit charge, is panhandling. That being said service was great, fast , great sandwich. But to be prompted by a debit or credit card charge ,to ask for a tip is mind bending. Pay your people an extra 15-20 bucks a day. Give them gas cards. Don't try to sneak a tip option into your debit and credit readers, this isn't directed at the staff of this restaurant. This is directed at the corporate part. They are the ones who obviously thought this up. Pay your people better directly and don't pass the cost of that to your customers, it's not fair to your employees or your customers. read more

Staying at a hotel nearby we walked over to grab a sandwich to go. Never been to A Jersey Mike's before. The staff here were very patient with us, explaining how they do thing. First, they have 3 sandwich sizes. One is small enough to be considered a snack, the next up is what I would call a 'regular' size and we cut it in half and shared it and finally there is the ginormous size which would easily accommodate the hardiest of appetites or a small family. I think I had two choices of bread? Sorry, I forget. Then the fillings. One guy did the protein and another the veg. It seems a sub done the Jersey Mike's way has a vinegar and oil mixture splashed over all. As I was having tuna salad, that didn't sound tempting, but they gave me a small take away cup anyway to give it a try. It's tasty, but I was right, not for me on a tuna salad sandwich. We have ordered three times from Jersey Mike's, and every time we have been impressed! Food is always ready on time and pick-ups are easy. The actual shop is very clean and tidy. If the staff ever has a question or an issue with an order, they call to touch base and make sure they get your order right. Everyone I've dealt with has been polite and professional. I am a huge fan of Jersey Mikes. I will never visit this location again. They do not greet you when entering the establishment. There were only 2 employees working at 1:45 pm on a Sunday. There was one customer in front of me that ordered a few sandwiches. The employees did not work with urgency or communicate with the customers until it was time for them to make sandwich. I understand that potentially there were understaffed and there are many online orders that they have to complete additionally, but the protocol for their sandwich making is not being followed efficiently.
