Good subs but for several months now the ac has been sketchy. 78-79 in here and just muggy. Get the AC fixed?

They also have a delicious cold brew. I had never eaten there until recently, and their chicken salad was good. I ordered one to go and one to eat there, both on a croissant bun, but when I got mine, it was on wheat. Not the end of the world since that was my second choice, so I just stuck with it when the waitress asked if she could fix it. My wife enjoyed the croissant and the chicken salad at home, so it's a win for me. Inside Marylou's is a quaint but roomy space for the inside diners, with plenty of tables and booths. Outside, there is a porch to eat on if you prefer to be outdoors. It's shaded and brings me back to the summers I spent with my grandparents, where we ate and spent most of our evenings on their porch talking, laughing, and watching the sunsets. I really think you'll like it here. Enjoy and thanks for keeping it local, MLA

There is a back entrance with ramp near those spaces. Cute wrap around porch with tables to be enjoyed during nice weather. It was a little cold inside with the fans blowing but we found ledge seating in what I'd describe as more of the coffee lounge area so we could not be blown away. Order at the counter and they give you a # on a stand to take to your table for food delivery. Digital menu behind the registers and a posted seasonal coffee menu in a stand by the register. There was a case with some muffins & scones that looked good. I got the 1/2 Panini combo with soup - VIP (turkey, bacon, tomato, cheddar & mayo) & broccoli cheese soup. My Mom got the VIP and a bag of chips. We got our food quickly despite them being quite busy. The bread on the panini was perfect in my opinion- thin and not greasy - unlike any other panini I've had before. My personal preference would have been a little less cheese and a thin layer of mayo vs a couple glops but they didn't stop me - I easily scooped it out. I was so excited to indulge in broccoli cheese soup. Portion size was great however it had an unexpected spicy heat that hit you on the back end of the bite and was a little watery. I tolerated a few bites trying to like it but couldn't eat it unfortunately. It totally misses the mark on the creamy cheesy indulgence that broccoli cheese soup is.

It's an older, well-worn place without trendy décor or manufactured ambience--and honestly, I felt right at home. It was a quiet Saturday morning with only about four tables occupied. The staff was busy preparing for the lunch crowd, while the customers who were there clearly seemed to be regulars. I ordered the eggs and onions with lox, and it was absolutely delicious. I'll be back for a sandwich sometime soon. I understand why people keep returning. Sometimes you simply want a quiet, comfortable place where nobody bothers you and you can enjoy a genuinely good breakfast. Carshon's has been providing exactly that for almost a century.

I was seated and ordered a Reuben since it's one of my favorite sandwiches. The waitress asked if I wanted corned beef, pastrami. or half-n-half. I chose half-n-half because I wanted to try both. I will probably choose the corned beef next time as I thought it tasted better than the pastrami. I have nothing bad to say about the sandwich. It was pretty good. Exactly like how I expected a Reuben to be. I would definitely order it again. The service was good. I was informed that Carshon's was a cash only restaurant so I brought cash. It turns out they apparently take cards now but with an extra processing fee.

The young lady that attended me had been previously talking to someone else and she kindly excused herself and said she needed to tend to a customer. Just her attitude and politeness won me over! She was very patient when I said it was my first time and explained things thoroughly with the few questions I had while also offering a suggestion I decided to go with. Now to the food...OMG! These sandwiches AND soup are delicious! The portions were just right and the flavor was on point. The bread was toasted just the right amount, the meats tasted super fresh, and the soups felt like my mom had cooked it up in her kitchen. I know it's a basic and simple meal but some people can either overdue it or not get it right BUT Stone Soup Cafe definitely did it all right! I hope you give them a try! I'd love to try all their sandwiches now with the flavor burst I got from my very first bite to the last! I've already told my friends they need to go check them out...and they know how I love me a good sandwich. Stop by and see for yourself what I'm talking about.
