This was my first time ever going to jersey mikes. My husband loves this place and convinced me to give them a try and I am so glad that I did!!! The first thing I noticed was a deli type of counter where they take turkey, chicken, etc and slice everything fresh right in front of your eyes!!! And their products don't have any antibiotics so I loved that!!! The menu is also great with lots of different options, making it really easy to make healthy choices. You can get sandwiches, wraps or a bowl, and it's all amazing!! I got the turkey wrap as a bowl And my husband got the Philly chicken sandwich and both tasted so fresh and delicious!! I also have to mention the staff at this location. They are so nice!! Everyone is friendly and welcoming and when I had a question about the calories on the menu vs what I was seeing an app they actually took the time to talk to me about it, check a different app (the Jersey Mike's app, I was using the fitness pal app) and they even emailed the owner of the location to see why the calories are listed differently. The time they took to do that was really nice and I appreciated it a lot! Not many places would go out of their way like that. Actually 4.5 STARS for service and fast delicious subs. They offer all subs "Mike's Way," shredded lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar, oil, dried herb mix and black pepper or you can add your own toppings. The deli meats are sliced to order and not pre cut and weighted like Subways although Subway does offer more selections. Higher quality ingredients with grilled hot Phillies and meats offered in different combinations make Jersey Mike's one of the better chain market Sub Sandwich Shops available. They messed up, but don't understand that good customer service is to fix your mistake, not require the paying customer to fix it for you. Had I wanted to drive to get lunch, I would have. Heard so many good things about this place. They used to provide sandwiches for training courses I did. Never had one. Well had one today ... 1. Freshly sliced everything was awesome 2. Decent amount of main meat extras are barely 3 thin slices on a regular 2$ for 3 tiny slices. Booooo 3. Staff is pleasant but just going through the motions. I was very disappointed with the manager, Janelle Fortes who refused to honor any service animals, even those I showed my service animal I.D. card. They would not allow to serve me until I stood outside of the front door. They would take my order from there. I already complained to the corporation in New Jersey. They will take care of this matter. If you have ever any experience about your service animal, please report to Jersey Mike's Sub Corporation at 800-321-7676. The law already defines: Generally guide, hearing and service dogs are permitted to accompany their disabled owner everywhere members of the public are allowed, but there are a few exceptions. I grew up in New Jersey. Our annual summer treks 'down the shore' to Seaside Heights for our family vacations included steamed clams, corn on the cob, saltwater taffy, and submarine sandwiches. Three 'subs' cut in half could feed a family of six. In Seaside we'd walk over to Sam's Subs, and if we were in Point Pleasant, you went to Mike's. I arrived in Palm Springs and left my iPhone charger at home. As I pulled into the Best Buy parking lot, I saw Jersey Mike's out of the corner of my eye. I was feeling nostalgic and thought "I have to try Jersey Mike's" in Palm Desert, California. I had the #13 Original Italian (Regular Size) and I was transported back to the Jersey Shore. What sets the submarine sandwiches from New Jersey apart from everywhere else is the seasoning and the secret sauce (vinaigrette). From the bread to the trimmings and the deli meats, Jersey Mike's gets it right. I loved it and will be back again. If you see a bad review, it's likely due to not liking the flavor profile of a Jersey Sub. If you don't like vinegar, you won't like the sub. It's that simple. Jersey Mike's is 100 times better than Subway. No green unripe tomatoes here. This is what a sub sandwich is supposed to taste like. For a taste of the garden state - you gotta check out Jersey Mike's in Palm Desert. PS: There was an elderly man eating alone who had difficulty walking. He had a cane and could barely stand from a seated position. As he made his way to the exit, one of the young employees came out from behind the counter, and offered his assistance. Jersey mikes franchise consistency is unmatched so therefore I won't mention my food at all in this review. However I can mention the absolutely hospitable staff at this particular location. All of my Jersey Mike experiences thus far have been up to par, however, Sam the assistant manager at the Palm Desert location goes above and beyond the call of sandwich duty! I only really eat out on weekends lately and there are a few places I regularly visit and the new location near my home in palm desert is very convenient. read more

We walked out after waiting 15 minutes in line and we could tell it was going to be another 15 minutes before we even ordered. I blame the store set up, I blame the customers in front of us, 3 of them had orders for at least 5 sandwiches each - the order should have been ordered on line, and I blame the manager. This is one of the worst jersey mikes I go to. Staff is poor and doesn't listen to your order. They are always out of certain breads and k ow you'll pick another one. Staff is untrained and doesn't look you in the eye. I want my juice on the side for take out: they always forget and then when I ask for it they hand me greasy small containers filled with oil and vinegar. What am I gonna do with it. It was my first time in to this new little strip mall sandwich spot and Brandon really went above and beyond trying to make my experience great. I wish I could say that it was, because he did a great job, but the food was disappointing. The bread was way too big for the amount of chicken and toppings they put in it and the chipotle chicken was seriously lacking in flavor. I love Jersey Mike's, I find one in every city I go. The food is consistently good. This store meets that expectation. The reason I gave 3 stars is due to service, and cleanliness of the store. When I got here every table was dirty, and there was some trash on the floor. I had time to kill between work and a meeting and I have been here for over an hour. In this time not one person has come out to clean the dining room! I am afraid to check the bathroom if this is how they treat the eating area. The staff seems more concerned with talking and flirting with the pretty girl that was here that providing a clean environment, or custom service. I've been here a few times and must say that the food is pretty good. Having lived in South Jersey, I believe the sandwiches are authentic to that region of the country. The service has been adequate on previous visits, however today was just not good at all. Had to wait and wait due to my "ticket" being misplaced. If I hadn't gone back to the counter to inquire how much longer it was going to be, I'd still be waiting. It appeared they had one or two trainees working that just were not ready for prime time.
