In my 10+ year history of going to Jersey Mikes, I have NEVER been charged extra for substituting meat. Example : Instead of ham, pepperoni. The workers here both said it was extra even though I didn't get ham on the club sub and charged me extra to sub the meat. $4.95+tax for 7 thin slices of pepperoni to be exact. I even told them, I have NEVER EVER been charged extra unless it was indeed added meat. They shrugged and smiled at each other while doing it (even smirked while having the audacity to add 1 tiny slice after I mentioned that I only get 6 slices for $5) and still did nothing to improve my experience. The lettuce was also brown and looked unhealthy. By the way, the "OPEN" sign wasn't even on after dark either so I almost turned around before entering. Located in the TARGET shopping center, next to Starbucks, is Jersey Mike's. I used the app. Seemed easy enough. I entered, stood by the side, then was asked if I had an order. They handed me the bad, taped closed and I took off to meet my wife for lunch, at her work, with my 3 yr old daughter. To my dismay, they for got all three bags of chips and the cookie. We had to drive by and just eat in there. The food was slightly, slightly better than Subway. If you have someone try a sandwich, the same ingredients from both, they wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Service and amount of meat is worse. *People have to make sure to check their bags, my bad, but if you're going to tape it up, it better be right! $18 for a Giant Sub is crazy! ABSOLUTELY RUDE, this girl was not only disrespectful and very sarcastic to me as a customer, but to even co workers . She had told I'm assuming one of the new girls in front of everybody, including customers " instead of standing there can you do this " which I've worked in fast food and retail so I know the most professional way to address something is in private. I wanted to double check with her if I had to let her know what I wanted added to my salads because I was afraid she would put the oils on the sandwich that I did not want because was not paying attention. She was busy making the other sandwiches for the order of head. Her response was yes in a minute. I am busy doing something and points down at the sandwiches and says " you need to wait a minute " me getting taken back by the disrespect in her voice. I said absolutely when it came to her actually doing my sandwich, I said I want everything just the vinaigrette on the side she looks at me and says " so the Mike's way,you want the Mike's way " and I said " yes everything "again she tells me the Mike's way which I could tell at this point she was being sarcastic. When I told the person charging me, she came back up and said what other oils do you need very rudely and I said I already told them " I want " midway saying she started walking off. I said out loud under my breath. She's starting to piss me off and the customer behind me shook her head like she agreed so I knew I was not being dramatic at this point. The cashier didn't even talk to me at all just said the total I asked like three times if they got the side because nobody was telling me OK they were just looking at me and not reassuring hearing me . Not a whole lot you can add to Jersey Mike's. The place is pretty straightforward as you get what you get. I'm reviewing and giving this location 3 stars because we placed our order online and when I walked in, just like the other Jersey Mike's that I've been to, I expected our food to be on a shelf ready for me to grab. Unfortunately, at this location, they do not do this. There was a long line of people placing orders for their food and I had to wait by the register to ask the cashier for our food. Not only was it awkward standing there, I could feel the other people standing in line being annoyed with me cutting to the front of the line. Not only that, the cashier seemed annoyed that I was asking for our food. Why not just do what other jersey Mike's do for their online orders? Buy yourself a cheap shelf and place the online orders on it so that people who do this can just come in and grab their food. read more

We were very pleasantly surprised by this location, especially with it's three star rating. We came here to grab some sandwiches to go and the price, size and quality was really good. We even had leftovers. We made sure to stop by again while we were in the area and lucky for us they are open late. Both times, the food was fresh, fast and tasty. The prices are better than many other sandwich shops and they are convenient with good hours. Plus the leftovers were almost as good as the originals. I eagerly came in for the new chicken salad sandwich. As I gazed at the poster advertising Jersey Mike's new offerings, my mouth watered. Lo and behold, although the poster was there right at eye level, I was told that it was a limited offering and they were not selling it anymore. Hmmmm, seems like the poster should have been removed! If it's so common to suffer from basic inventory issues, then this is what should be stated ... hey, customer who comes in weekly, we are out of minis but for the SAME price you can have a regular. I'm here to help with the 3 star situation. My wife and I have never been big on "chain restaurants" especially sub-sandwich ones. But this last week we had the opportunity to try our very first Jersey Mike's Sub shop. Not gonna lie...it surprised the hell out of us! The sandwich's we got were great. I got the chicken bacon ranch sub, tender chicken and great flavor throughout along with more than enough fixings. My wife got the club sub and she couldn't be more annoyed of how many times I said..."babe, it's a sub above". She enjoyed hers too but definitely not as much as I did haha. So yes, I'm gonna go back and I'm gonna try all the damn sandwich's...much to my wife's dismissing eye roll. P.S. The employees have been fantastic the two times we have gone! read more

Today we placed an order for *one* sandwich through the Jersey Mike's app. We knew it would be busy in the restaurant today because our local school was having a parent lunch and a lot of people pickup lunch from Jersey Mike's. We assumed placing an order through the app would be the fastest way to get our order. We placed the order through the app at noon, and were given an estimate of 15 minute wait time. At the counter, several people were already waiting in line for orders they had placed through the app... and the amount of people standing there to wait continue to grow. The app orders were coming out painfully slow, meanwhile everybody who had stood in line to place the order in person was getting their order in the usual amount of time. It was as if all of the app orders were put aside, in favor of the in-person orders, regardless of the time the order was placed. When we arrived, there was a group of four firefighters standing in line to place their order. They got their order quickly, sat down to eat their meal, and done and gone by the time we even got our order. Our *one* sandwich finally came out at 12:50pm. And I was only after we have been asked more than once by an employee what our name was. The final time we were asked, they had to reprint the ticket and *then* started making the sandwich. Fifty minutes for one sandwich. I completely understand lunch is a busy time at Jersey Mike's. But it is frustrating when app orders are overlooked in favor of in-person orders. So parents who planned ahead and tried to be efficient by placing our orders through the app we're all very late in receiving our orders and getting back to school to feed our kids. Unfortunately, we were the last among those parents, and arrived back at school with only 5 minutes for our daughter to eat her sandwich. We get Jersey Mike's sandwiches for dinner on a weekly basis. Today's experience was disappointing and poorly managed. I'm not sure what the official protocol is, but it seems that the food should be made in the order in which they are received, not set aside simply because they are coming from an app, rather than in person. This time my pregnant wife and I went looking to get this friendly style blt for pregnant women and when my wife asked for blt but asked for the other condiments this recipe followed the girl with curly poofy pony tail had mouthed under her breath "that ain't no BLT weirdo" where I had heard this and just mentioned to them it was a friendly pregnancy recipe as her and her coworker just look at each other as it was funny to them. We've given this location multiple tries and it's a fail every time. We order on the app and the order is never correct. Feels like they just don't care. Today we ordered a turkey wrap with "extra easy" oil and vinegar. The flour tortilla was completely soggy with liquid dripping out of the sandwich to the point you could barely eat it. Their Hot Subs are top-notch in taste and flavor. #26 Bacon Ranch Chicken is my go-to, but my guy Abe put me on #43 Chipotle Cheesesteak, which was fire. We've been occasionally stopping in here since they opened a couple of years ago. They are consistent with a higher quality sandwich than many other sandwich franchises. Quality of the meats & breads is excellent, and they have their assembly procedures down-pat. They offer hot & cold sandwiches. I've never been to a Jersey Mike's before and one of the guy's insisted that we go. It's a place he frequents in San Jose and what I thought would just be some good 'ol sandwiches was actually not. We walked in and I've never seen employees who looked more unhappy standing there. I looked from left to right at all 3 of the associates. They all had the same look on their face. No welcoming smile. No hello. Just a disheartening gaze that said "We hate it here and why are you guys even bothering to come in?" Walking up to the register, the same look did not wipe off the associate's face as we put in our order. Alas, we were hungry. And our friend still insisted that these were going to be solid sandwiches. That was until he noticed that they *skimped* on the meat they put in our cold sub. Instead of weighing the cold cuts like they do at the locations in SJ, the associate skipped this step and proceeded to put one layer of meat on the sub and stuffed the rest of the sandwich with veggies. Every time I go to this location there is a minimum of a 20 minute wait in line and you hear the online orders keep coming in (it plays a noise and prints a receipt every time a new order comes in) The food is good, standard as every other Jersey mikes but this location is incredibly understaffed and always behind on orders. The employees always seemed overwhelmed and stressed but the amount of orders and lack of staff. Would really recommend the general manager or whoever runs this location to think about staffing more employees (or turning off online orders) especially during lunch and dinner times. The sandwich-making area was not clean whatsoever. Unappetizing. Obviously, it was not cleaned that morning. Plus, the bathroom was disgusting. No personality. I cannot believe how busy it was! Under all that pressure the staff maintained a positive friendly environment and worked fast and efficient! I even saw the manager get them all waters! Our lunch was very very yummy and worth the extra couple minute wait! I have to disagree with the Yelp reviewer about the cleanliness. They were SO busy! That was not a fair review, in my opinion.
