Used the drive through Feb 4, 2025 about 3 pm. I had my 2 small grandkids in car and we had about 45 min to kill before their dentist appointment and I had just picked up the older one from first grade so he was hungry I ordered 2 kids meals, milk, fries and cheeseburgers no pickle no onions. Got through the line quickly. Got up to the food window and the guy haves he the boxes. I say no pickles no onion and he hesitates then tells me yes and closes window quick and rushes off. I honk horn. I need napkins. Straws. Pulled over to park and checked burgers. Why would you dump a bunch of those awful dehydrated minced onions in kids burgers? I don't even like them. Used a Fry to scrape them off. Both had pickles too. So they did not make the burgers per my order, just pulled a couple already made off the rack. Poor service. read more

Never in my life thought I'd be inside a McDonald's arguing with a manager but that's how my day went yesterday. I have never been able to successfully use the app at this location. It is ALWAYS an issue. Yesterday I tried anyway and should have known better. I placed a mobile curbside pick up order. I checked in to parking space 5 and waited 10 minutes. No one ever brought out my order. So, I went inside. Of course, every worker pretended to not see me standing waiting at the counter so I finally spoke up. I explained to them I ordered a mobile curbside pick up order and no one had brought out my food. I showed them my order which was confirmed on the app. I showed them my confirmation email and I showed them my checking account where I had been charged for my order. The manager asked me to connect their Wi-Fi and try pulling up the order again, which I did. She asked me to close completely out of the app, which I also did and she still said they could not find my order even after I showed them proof that I already paid for it and I placed the order for that location. She then proceeded to just go start working on other things I had to call out to her to ask her if she was gonna finish helping me, I think she thought that I would leave if she just walked away and stopped helping me when she came back. She proceeded to continue arguing with me that they didn't have the order and tried to get me to go to the counter and place a new order well I had already been charged for the other order I had previously placed and the app already used the coupon that I used to place the order so I wouldn't be able to use that coupon again if I placed a new order. I understand that the staff probably can't do much about the app however she could've been a problem solver and tried to help me just slow down stop and try to help me, but she chose not to and I ended up walking out without my order and I was charged for something I did not receive. She told me the charge would drop off at my bank account. It still has not. I don't understand why these employees are paid so much above minimum wage when they do not have above minimum wage critical thinking skills I will not try to use the app at this location again in fact, I will not be back to this location at all read more

Genuinely feel bad for these workers, went today around 11:45-12 and it was a mad house , full of highschoolers that had no sense of space or even impossible to get to the front counter . Someone needs to be more attentive to front and directing these kids after they order to go wait somewhere other than the front counter . My order was wrong but honestly I didn't care so much about that after I walked in seeing the store look like a complete zoo . Would skip this location around anytime highschoolers have lunch or get out of school. Terrible . read more

The "goth" old lady that works the register and runs food, has to be the rudest person to work customer service. She's very snappy when helping people never smiles never greets anyone when they walk in, and god forbid someone's in her way she won't say excuse me, instead she just marches right through groups of people, or families. Heard that they were bringing back the boo buckets at McDonald's. We tried to get one last year but they ran out or didn't have them. I ordered everything through the app and did curbside pick up. It was so fast and easy. I haven't had McDonald's in a couple years and the last time I did I was not impressed. It looked and tasted better than what I remember. Fix your damn ice cream machine. It's been out for a month already. So annoying !!!! I am pregnant and that's literally all I want right now

What a horrible experience. I ordered my food and then tried using the app with a code for 40% off. Kid tells me the code won't work and the price didn't change at all, I said okay and pulled over to come inside and order. When I walked in Maria and the guy working the drive through Window are taking a bunch of crap about me to the whole staff saying I don't have money for the order and I want a deal and still complaining about the price. Then proceed to talk crap for like 3 minutes about me not knowing I was inside ordering. Most unprofessional thing I have ever seen and now I will take my money elsewhere. I would fire my employee automatically for taking about a customer like that but they don't seem to care at all here. Really horrible service and I will be leaving reviews every where and as much as I can since they think talking about a customer being there back is okay. Had their McRib yesterday without onions. I personally like this delight. Some of you may not and even fast food but the budget at the moment is unable to go to restaurants. On that note being near Paso Robles Wine Country their restaurant prices are outrageous even for a dinner salad. Growing up and graduating and a few years there after in Napa Valley they are trying to compete in many ways. At least in Napa you can find a meal deal here and there. Not so much Upvalley in the towns of Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga where you are paying touristy prices like Paso. This McDonald's is clean, quick and never had an issue, my order is always right. Even if I get it to-go, I always walk in. Just not worth waiting in the long line for the drive-thru even if there is only 2 cars. Have to have a code for the restrooms. read more

They are really efficient. Food is very fast with curbside service. The shake machine always seems to be working when I order a shake!

I never leave reviews for fast food places, but this was the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. I came here at night via drive thru, and my food was so bad. I got the filet-o-fish meal, and the fish patty was so over cooked and dry. The cheese also tasted sour. And the fries were so soggy!! Please avoid this McDonald's. read more

Very poor service via Manager Gloria. I had a small issue with my order that I didn't find until I got home which was 10-15 minutes later. I drove all the way back to get the 6 piece chicken nuggets and fries that were supposed to be in my littles kids meal. As the manager Gloria handed me the bag she said she found it odd I didn't receive the meal because 1-she had prepared it herself and had put everything in the box and 2-if it had been missed there would have been extra left on the line. I was coming back from Morro Bay. I am a medical care provider so I was in scrubs. I had my grand little with me and I remained pleasant and calm. Inside I was very upset. I questioned whether she was saying I was not being honest and she basically accused me of lying. How disrespectful. It was 6 nuggets and a baby fry. I won't go back without a true apology for the blatant disrespect and for being so unprofessional - and demeaning in front of my grand little no less. When your staff is watching and you are the one that drops the ball on service and handling what was - in my mind a simple error - it's no wonder we are having trouble getting people to want to step up in service jobs. It is McDonald's, nothing more nothing less. Haven't been to one in months. For Monday at 9:30 am the Crew was chipper and happy, restaurant super clean and the loo too. Would have liked to have gotten a burger but I was too early. The 2 for $3 special of a sausage burrito and sausage McMuffin was just below hot (good sign) and spruced it up with their picante sauce. I just watch a worker pack down an ice cream sundae they just made with his bare hand, getting Carmel all over his hand, before giving the sunday to the customer at the drive through. I went here I ordered and didn't get anything I ordered I called talked to the manager and she said she would not replace my whole order that I had time to check my order and they didn't give me anything I paid for. I had to argue to get the sauce I asked for they said was in the bag but it was not and then didn't even get nuggets for the sauces. I wasted $25 on nothing. And was spoken to rudely and hung up on. I just don't get it. Ray Kroc as well as Richard and Maurice McDonald would be as confused as I am right now. I went to the drive through and ordered 4 McDoubles (their basic double cheeseburger with one slice of cheese) at 3:10 pm. Nothing hard or special. When I pulled up to the second window where I should get my food, I was asked to pull ahead and park. There were three cars ahead of me all parked already. I watched an employee walk out of McDonalds and give one car their food, then the driver slowly squeezed their vehicle out of fast food purgatory. I pulled ahead to park and wait in limbo. The same woman then walked out and gave another car their food, then the driver did a 7 point turn and went on their way...and so on and so forth.... I watched this employee walk in and out and bring the food to all of the cars ahead of me, and behind me and not a single car got their food through the window (the window worked, I talked to the friendly employee through it)...and we all got our food in the order which we ordered... Does this make sense? There were a total of 7 cars (during my visit), we could have all waited patiently in line like at every other drive through IN THE WORLD and got the food through the window. Instead, you have a bunch of parked cars with people waiting for their food while you have a bunch of annoyed people who just got their food struggling to escape your inefficient hellhole. read more

They frequently forget to put the complete order in the bag at the drive thru window. Then you get home and the burgers are missing and you have to go back to get them. Advise you always check the bag before you drive away. The prices are no longer a good value. For what you get, the cost is quite high. I think McDonalds are independently owned, so to me, it must be a lack of leadership on part of the owners. I guess people will still patronize the outlet because of the McDonalds' name but I would think the franchise owners here in Atascadero would want their store to be a model of quality and efficiency rather than what it has become. read more

I stopped at this McDonald's to take dinner home after a long day of travel. I bought a dinner item for my husband and a 10 piece chicken nugget for myself. I ate 4 of the ten nuggets when I felt a pain in my mouth. There was a BONE in the nugget that had saw like edges on one side. It cut my tongue! I spent yesterday washing my mouth out with salt water. Today it feels better. I can't imagine what would have happened if a young child got that nugget. I will never eat those again!!! read more
