I went here Friday afternoon on 7/21 and the place was nice and clean. There was a gentleman who was complaining at the cash register regarding the points that he earned. The people working there handled the situation tremendously despite how this individual was acting. I wish I got their names so I could give them all a shout out but I guess this will have to do. They gave myself and others in the line coupons as well even though they didn't have to nor was I expecting them to. Service A++ at this location. When it came to the food my wife got a regular turkey provolone on white and I got a giant super sub on white for myself. I would have to give the sandwiches an A++ as well. I ordered 4 giants all double meat and the entire staff started making noises like it was a burden. #3 #7 #17 #17 Once the person who was cutting the meat heard the 2 number 17's he ripped his gloves off and started shaking his head. I stood back as was confused and it got really awkward. The young man who was in charge of the vegetables was the only person who was positive working super hard. The girl at the register was super rude as well. I asked for a bag and she said "so you can't carry it?" I just shook my head in disappointment. $90+ dollars and this is the service there. This jersey mikes is conveniently located at a major intersection in Poway and let's you get a sandwich nearby while en route to your next destination or chore for the day. The parking can be very tight when crowded during busy lunch hours. The sandwiches are consistently made with Jersey Mike's standards and it's good to know your sandwich will still taste the same whether in Poway, Scripps Ranch or etc. We had the Chicken philly with grilled onions and peppers. The sandwich was good and the cheese was great. The bum was fresh. I would have preferred a bit more meat for the giant bun but overall this was a healthier option than a steak philly. There are other phillys in SD much better than here, but overall sandwiches here are well done consistently. read more

We had a birthday party at FIT club today and ordered two boxes of sandwiches from this JM's location. Pick up was easy and quick. The Subs by Box is basically four giants cut into small sandwiches. The presentation is pretty cool. The box lid folds up and in so that it displays what sandwiches are what (see pic). We tried a variety of sandwiches : cali, #6 (roast beef), #9 (club supreme), #10 (tuna). I forgot the numbers on the 2nd box ( I think it had the Italian, turkey, and two others). All the sandwich bites were wrapped wonderfully. The bread and contents stayed in place. We LOVED how they offered 'mike's way' in the to go squirt bottles. They bottled the vinegar and oil separately. They also gave us plenty of pickles and peppercinis on the side with a plastic tong. Oh - and also sliced white onions were put in a separate container! The bread tasted fresh and soft. My favorite was the club sandwich with smashed avocado. Friends loved the tuna sandwich as well. This was a great idea for a pool party. It was easy eats which tasted fresh and satisfying. The presentation and packaging were great. We would use this location again. read more

The worst. I came here to get lunch for a business account and I was embarrassed to give them their food. One of the gals got a tuna wrap and the girl who made it basically rolled it into a smushed little ball, it was in no way a wrap. The other sandwich was a turkey provolone grilled, can't really mess that up but the same girl who made the wrap sloppily wrapped it and threw it in the bag. $25 and change for 2 sandwiches and 2 chips is ridiculous for the mediocre food and presentation. I wanted to redeem my birthday reward for a FREE regular sub but was unaware that it doesn't cover a gluten free regular sub. Nowhere in the reward does it state that it doesn't cover gluten free bread. So.... The young lady who rung me up told me that because its gluten free I HAD TO PAY. I ended up paying $1.50 extra to cover charges. I was livid. I am a frequent buyer of Jersey Mikes but this might have done it for me. Terrible customer service and I will not be going here anymore. The least she could've done was let me off the hook this time around or use spare change. Please train these young kids on what good, quality customer service is, because that is not it. The staff here are super nice that I feel really inclined to tip theme every time because of their great attitude and great customer service! Parking here is easy because it's not at a busy part of the plaza. It is next to a lot of other shops and in the same general area as the Target. Not sure how ordering online should take longer to get your order started then walking in. But I walked in at 11:27 and by 11:48 I have watched 18 people go through the line and my order not even started. Knowing it was a grilled order I picked up other food and beverages first. Now the kids shakes are melted. At 11:50 a walk-in customer got his grilled sandwich made. So extremely disappointed! Six others have come in to pick their to go orders and still mine is not done. Today I called and placed an order with a young lady name Cheyenne at this location some of the items were from picky eaters aka co workers and I was extremely worried of errors. When I got there I was greeted by two girls at the front counter and Cheyenne quickly came to the counter to finish helping. What was the best I was worried about hot sub going cold and they actually were making them when I got there so they stayed hot. It's frustrating for me to leave 2 stars, due to my family eats here weekly. The issue is, if you go to other Jersey Mike's, they weight the cheese, then also weight the meat. I would say 3 out of 5 times they usually add more due to noticing it's under weight. Poway has new employees all the time and I feel half of the ones I buy are under weight. Poway NEVER weighs and if you ask, they say the scale is broken. It's been broken for over 6 months!! For the price of the sandwiches, they should be doing what every other jersey mikes does and weigh. Again, the food is great, but Poway needs to step it up! read more

I'm not sure if Jersey Mike's Subs is franchised or not, but I always get quality service when visiting any location. I visited this location last week and arrived about 20 minutes before closing. Normally, if teenagers are manning the restaurant, they groan and roll eyes, unhappy that people are walking in so close to closing time. But not these guys! I had the big kahuna cheese steak, it was really good. I never had jersey mike's before and I have to say it was pretty good. I had the regular, my friend had the giant philly cheese steak, it was too big! Prices were like any regular sub place. The energy of the workers was great, very friendly and nice. I love this place! I may be biased that it's right across the street from my house...but who cares. My husband and I have lunch here every Friday and the sandwich is always done correctly, sometimes earlier than I requested (we order ahead online) and the staff is so great. They are always upbeat and helpful and you can't leave without a smile on your face. Yes, I know, it's a chain....but it's delicious, the price is right, and the people make me want to keep coming back. It is a cramped space, especially if you're picking up an online order because you're in the way of the people getting their drinks and paying, but it's just an awkward minute or two.
