Love this place cause it's so close and I'm a regular on a consistent basis. They know my name and my number. I called in for a food order and was kinda shocked that they didn't have any Rose Parm? It's 6:45 pm and they close at 9. I told the lady I spoke to that I can wait for the bread. She said it would take an hour. I said "that's fine I'll call back to place the order when the breads done." Then it became "oh well I have to bake it then proof it, that can take 2 hours." I said okay so you won't have any of the bread until closing? This lady gonna say "well it would take an additional 15 minutes to cool down." I totally understand running out of things, but it was sketchy how the time kept adding up instead of being straight forward with a customer. After being a shift lead and manager over the past 7 years, it shows a type of lack of communication AND preparation. Mind you, she only started acting rudely when I told her in a lighthearted tone, "I'm just pregnant so I'm looking for a specific craving." She said "there's a Carmichael store that might do you more justice." Oh... instead of walking the 5 minutes it would take to go, I will DEFINITELY start driving to the Carmichael location. I have always loved Jersey Mike's Big Kahuna Cheesesteak and it is 98% my go to. It is flavored so well that it is a for sure classic. DON'T sleep on their other sandwiches. DO not order online! The order is never ready when promised. Just go order in person. Order promised at 11:05am order not given until 11:22am. They prioritize customers in line, which is fine but don't offer online services if you cannot keep up. Note there were 4 employees working the counter. We had lunch here today. When I asked questions about the menu, the staff was very patient and helpful. They were knowledgeable about the menu items and took the time to explain. When I finally got ready to order they were there to take my order and were very patient with me as I explained how I wanted my sub. Over all, it was a great experience. Everyone was kind to us, and greeted us with smiles as we came in the door. When we were ready to leave, they thanked us for coming. I eat here a couple times a week and the sandwiches are great WHEN the employees are paying attention. It's like clockwork, they ask what I want, I tell them, 30 seconds later, they ask me again, I tell them again, I say no cheese, they put cheese, I tell them no cheese again, they remove the cheese, I tell them add bacon, they don't add bacon, I tell them NOT Mikes Way, they proceed to start doing Mike's Way, I tell them no oregano, they start shaking oregano. First couple times this happened, I thought maybe because it's busy but I've been coming here regularly for long time now and it's always the same regardless of whether they're busy or not. I wanted to like this place, especially since it's in such a convenient location, but unfortunately, the subs just don't live up to expectations. For a chain that advertises fresh ingredients and quality, I found the experience lacking in several areas. First off, the bread is a huge disappointment -- not fresh at all. I tried the Philly cheesesteak, and to my surprise, they refused to toast the bun, which is almost a necessity for a decent cheesesteak! The result was a sandwich that felt flat and uninspired, crumbling to pieces. On a previous visit, I ordered a chicken sub, and what I got was something that resembled a chicken salad filling, but with a texture and taste that left much to be desired. While I appreciate the staff being friendly and the location being convenient, the food itself just doesn't cut it. This store and its team work hand-in-hand, and is like a well-oiled machine.  No breaks or stops in the process...and it doesn't take long for your order to be there.  I stood back for a bit to observe the staff and quite happy to say that there is no idle soul in this group.  I was immediately seen to for my order, and not long after, out the door with my take-out. I've always been a Philly Cheese Steak person whenever it's available in a sandwich shop.  Meat!  We need meat!  And if it's here at Jersey Mike's, it always has been Number 17.  The infamous Famous!  Rosemary Parmesan, grilled steak, onions and cheese.  Giant!  There goes the diet... Stopped by this location for a quick lunch after having craving a good sandwich. We happened to be the first people in line and we were promptly greeted. After looking at the menu which had hot/ cold sandwich options and a whole menu for chicken favorites, I decided on The Big Kahuna while my boyfriend got the club supreme. I regularly heap praise upon Jersey Mike's. Probably far more than any person should for a chain sandwich shop. They either have excellent training and management or some kind of hypnosis program, or both, because the employees I've encountered at this or any location are nothing but professional, friendly, courteous and masters of what they do. This review comes during the time of coronavirus. On top of the usual standards of cleanliness they adhere to, they have done fine work of following safe guidelines for both employees and customers. There were stickers on the floor signifying how far apart guests should stand and employees were taking precautions in the form of gloves and masks. Of course, this all would be a big nothing if they didn't also make a great sandwich. They always deliver simple, fresh ingredients, from the bread to the incredibly thin sliced deli meats. Just wanna update this review. The issue related to the store closing before the hours they say they are open seems to have gone away. We do like Jersey Mikes and this is the best store of the two we go to most often. Much superior to the Town & Country one on Fulton near Maroni. Staff good and these guys get the order right. The location can be tough being at the corner of Fair Oaks and Watt, which has to be one of the busiest intersections in Sacramento. But beyond that cannot think of anything else I would change. read more

Two stars for the food quality only. Everytime I am here there are multiple annoyed people waiting for their online order. I ordered online on the way. I arrived early, stood in the ordering line and let them know I ordered online and was here. The girl confirmed my order was in the computer. I assumed they would start making it as if I was a walk in customer, since I was standing in line in front of them. 30 minutes later, they had already made sandwiches for multiple walk in customers after me and several online orders. Someone asked while I was waiting, and then said "no one told me you were here. I have to help this customer in line first, and then you." Totally broken system. No apologies from the staff. Complaints were sent to corporate while I sat there and watched other orders filled before mine. No more visits from me. Hands down this is the best sub sandwich in town. I think it's because getting it Mike's style makes it so delicious. That includes the yummy oil and vinegar to top off the sandwich. I was up this way and I have had a coupon for a free sub sandwich and soda for my birthday in my wallet for almost a year. Mike's isn't my favorite sandwich shop and if I have the choice I always go to Togo's. Mike's sandwiches are good, but Togo's are better. The playing field is switched when Mike's sandwich is free though. I order the roast beef and provolone and ask for it "Mike's Style" with added pickles. That's lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil & vinegar, plus spices. It was pretty good and I saved 1/2 of it for the next day. Maybe that wasn't the best idea as it was kind of soggy the next day. I'll be getting a new birthday coupon in a couple of weeks and another free sandwich! read more
