Old-School Pizza Hut with Surprisingly Great Pizza This Pizza Hut feels like it's running on a tight budget--think dim lighting, a tired dining room, and the occasional scramble for basics (one visit, they ran out of straws and the manager had to run out to buy more). The salad bar? Sad. Two bowls of iceberg lettuce, a few tired veggies, and mostly heavy, creamy dressings. There are two small bottles of oil and vinegar, but don't come here expecting a fresh, vibrant salad experience. Now for the good stuff: the pizza is legitimately better than you'd expect. It holds its own against many local spots, and the breadsticks are excellent. Pricing is more than fair--you're getting solid value here. Service is friendly and hardworking, even if the staff occasionally gets confused or has to double back to the kitchen. They're doing their best, and it shows. Sometimes nostalgia is fun. Eating Pizza Hut or Dominos pizza reminds me of college of my bygone days of a faster metabolism and a shitty business expense account. These days I seek out more the authentic Neopolitan pizzas ... but every now and again I will get a yearning to experience the 80,s, 90s and early 00s. First of all ... this is one of the last remaining ACTUAL restaurant Pizza Huts. Wonderful pleather booths, light wood paneling and plastic faux-stained glass light fixtures. Green carpeting and the fake brick. Pizza Hut closed 80 - 90% of these when acquired by a VC company, changing them from family-style eateries to cold, sterile pick-up only takeaway counters. Little league teams in Saratoga Springs can rejoice in the fact you can eat corporate style pizza in the same type of environment as your parents did after games. Though modern strip mall buildings have enveloped its surrounding area, a lone 1990's holdout stands strong. The pizza is not as I remembered it. Corners are being cut by corporate. Cheaper cheese, skimpier toppings, no more buffet (to my knowledge) and a much different crust. The crust is what made Pizza Hut stand out. Buttery, crisp but spongy with a slight oil infusion. Now ... its more oily, less handmade tasting and just a bit blah. An older Pizza Hut had a literal river of cheese on it and sauce that didn't taste like ketchup. Today ... not so much. Still, it is a bite of nostalgia. It's not as bad as many of the local frozen dough, greasy cheese and canned toppings. Everything is less impressive tasting than it used to be ... at twice the price ... but welcome to 2023 and big inflation. Coupons can be had online. A large pepperoni and green onion was around $16. Half was a good portion for even this big eater. Very dissapointed that they took the cheese sticks off the menu. That was the best item on the menu. The staff here was awesome. Grizzled, hard nosed but capable waitresses who look like they could have been working here since the Regan administration. They've seen some shit ... rude high schoolers, birthday parties, meth heads wandering in off the street, etc. They were kind and efficient and you could never tip them high enough. I do think that this place is a time warp that won't be around forever. See it while you can. If you are expecting a fantastic pizza, think again. However, for a blast from the past and a good/filling corporate pizza, it hits the spot. read more

A friend of mine just went to pizza hut Saratoga ballston ave. All prices were blacked out. When asked why the staff responded they changed all prices when track started. Pizza prices were all 10 dollars plus more. Unfortunately this type of business practice is not illegal and doesn't count as price gouging. Should the locals boycott this place after track season ? read more

We arrived on a Friday night here in Saratoga Pizza Hut at 7:30 to 4 people and only two working ? I feel really bad for the young girl with glasses .. she is literally doing all the food orders with no help and then one guy doing the dining room all by himself. While you got the two goons in the back talking about their personal lives instead of working as a team.. sad to see. Pizza Hut you need to hire better people ! This is another one of those 40 some odd year old Pizza Huts. It's in a strange location that's a bit difficult to navigate in and out of if you've never been there. I'm sure the summer tourists hate its funky get in and get out setup. I've been there tons of times and I don't like the set up at all. It's just weird with traffic lights and one ways and McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts all right there. Personally, I wouldn't eat in house as it is just really old. They need to blow it up and construct a new building. I've ordered from here at least 20 times over the years though the last couple years I always use the app on my phone. It's your basic chain pizza...its not gourmet by any stretch but what they do make in pizza is done the Pizza Hut way and done correctly. They've always gotten my order correct and my pizza is always waiting when I go to pick it up. People working are friendly enough too. They don't keep late night hours at all which is a drag for the Skidmore kids wanting that late night delivery. Oh well. Use the cell phone app to look for deals. My friends and I visited Saratoga and had an amazing experience at this location! It was one of the only spots open to eat late-night and we were so happy to be able to dine-in. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and kind. While the restaurant does have a vintage feel, it was sparklingly clean and a treat to experience a location that still looked like how it did when we were kids. read more

I wish I knew the owner of this franchise so I could describe the inappropriate rude tone and words this male voice used. Maybe I'm just not a fan of Pizza Hut in general. I was at the whim of a 12 year old choosing our dining experience, so I sucked it up and pretended to be excited about it. We shared a pizza and cheesy breadsticks. I had a small salad from the salad bar. Pizza is just too greasy for my taste (and I grew up eating NYC pizza...another caveat...). The breadsticks weren't bad...I do love my carbs. Salad was fine; I stayed away from any of the mayonnaise-based additions and any dressings....just threw red wine vinegar on some veggies. This location hasn't been updated in at least 20 years. I remember it looking the same as it does now when I was a kid. It's mostly clean but due to the age of everything it appears worn and definitely outdated. Recently I was here and I witnessed an employee preparing the pizzas without gloves or a hair net.
