Normally, I'm very tolerant of minor incompetence, but I'm hopeful that someone will actually take action on these observations and others that have left you reviews of Jersey Mike's in the Spokane Valley location (Sullivan and Sprague). I will give credit where credit is due and will note that I've been to three Jersey Mike's locations in my general area and have had some great experiences. However, not this particular location, ever. The lack of competency is baffling, as the employees there almost seem like zombies that can only perform one action as if they were union members. They have not been trained to understand what quality or customer service is, nor how to provide consistency and quality but display that they really hate being there and don't give a crap about customer service or providing a reasonable experience. Most of them seem to have been hired within the hour, and never shown how to do anything to expedite, hell even try to respect that a customer's time is valuable. At different attempts to patronize this location, I've seen a cornucopia of food service no-no's including a gal that removed a prep glove, only the thumbs, to handle cash transactions and then continue with food preparation with the same gloves. What?? How?? Employees need to understand that the gloves are not to keep their hands from getting dirty! Cross contamination is a rampant, and I cringe as they are preparing my order and drop the order on a dirty counter wiped with the same dirty rag repeatedly. The tables are consistently not cleaned and end up just taking my order to go and await the further disappointments. Again, I get it... it's just fast food, minus the fast, but come on owners this location is a disaster, and I have yet to leave there with a good experience. I hire many folks for many different positions, including entry level and I get that it's hard to find competence. However, it would seem you've gone out of your way to fall short of acceptable performance and workplace behaviors and have resigned yourselves to mediocrity and worse. Where's the leadership? Please, tell me someone will take these reviews seriously as community reputation is crucial to long term success and repeat business.
