Jersey Mike's Management- you really need to train your team to not touch money and the sandwiches. It is a health issue and needs to be corrected. Went back again and the kids behind the counter are still doing the same...guy at register has gloves on but cuts sandwiches and touches food while accepting cash and credit cards. Went to the Vienna location and they had a dedicated person working the register who never touched the food. Should be easy to fix! read more

I was typing up my first review earlier today, but never finished and it got me craving Jersey Mike's again. Picked it up tonight! I'll start with the first visit. It was around 2pm on a Saturday and the line was steady. The guy taking the hot sub orders was very friendly, but the cold sub guy was unenthusiastic and rude. I enjoyed my Jersey Mike's Famous Philly, but didn't think there was enough meat. Hub got the Italian - they slice the meat with each order, but again, not enough meat. Unsatisfying, when I order an Italian, I'm thinking strong flavors. My son got the ham & cheese kids' meal and wolfed the sammy, chips and cookie down. Tonight I ordered the Big Kahuna (without peppers). This time there was plenty of meat, it was actually coming out the sides! The extra cheese and jalapenos gave it a new layer of flavor! Next time I'll get extra jalapenos. The mushrooms were canned, so I could do without them. Hubby still wasn't a big fan of it. Oh well. read more

Great service. I came in at lunch right before it got really busy and the guy behind the counter (the manager?) was really helpful. I first ordered a cheesesteak and he told me it would take at least 6 minutes because there were already 4 sandwiches ahead me, but said he could get me a cold sub right away. The Subs at Jersey Mike's are awesome! I tried it for the first time after seeing it on Sandwich Paradise, and I have been back a few times since. I have tried both the hot and cold subs, and I liked the Ruben, but I have had better, still good though. Their cold subs is what its all about, I had the large super sub and it was filling enough for 2 big eaters to split! Also, you have to get the sub Mike's way (lettuce, tomato, oil & vinegars, and seasoning). The bread and veggies are fresh (except last time I went there the lettuce was a little wilted) and I prefer Mike's over subways, quiznos, potbelly's any day. Tried to support local business won't be going here again. Trying to rip off customers during this when we pay more for food. Ordered a sub turkey provalone. The cheese was so thin you could see though it. The meat was so thin it was like just eating bread. Stop taking advantage of the situation. read more

The subs are huge! The place can get pretty busy during lunchtime so plan ahead. Clean and fast service once you get up to the counter.. -1 star for no lettuce or tomato on the cheese steak. read more

My boyfriend and I visit this place all the time. We usually can share a Giant sub (and even that is ALOT of food!). The cheesesteak is delicious, but I am always down for an Italian sub with the oil and vinegar they use. Also - I have to mention the friendly employees they have at this location. This place is one of the better ones I have been to recently. The food I ordered was correct and had everything I had asked. The staff was quick polite and clean. Made you feel comfortable that the food coming out was good and "clean" as well, something you would not be afraid to eat. The selection is pretty good and have a variety of hot and cold subs. Went there at 5:00 on a Wednesday and only one other person getting food and it took a few minutes to get my sandwich which did not seem right. Looked like all the workers were teenagers and a little confused as to what to do. They were friendly however and nice. And the Philly cheesesteak I got was good. They only asked if I wanted onions and peppers but served it with lettuce and tomato. Good thing I wanted that too. They also did not cut the sandwich which would have been nice. Since it was just kids working I can cut them some slack but a manager should have trained them more. read more

I love this place! The staff is friendly, and the sandwiches are awesome! I prefer Jersey Mike's over Subway any day. Even when it's busy, they usually have enough people working to keep the line moving. I've only had one issue here, I got the oil and vinegar on my sandwich and by the time I got home the sandwich was all soggy. I called to complain, and they replaced it the next day. read more

Treated my management bench to lunch today. I decided to go with my personal goto since it is not too far from my warehouse. We received our sandwiches and they all had Miracle whip on them instead of the usual mayo. I called and spoke to a staff member who stated that this is the new mayo they will use moving forward. I inquired if this was company wide and she stated that she thought so but, she knows that all of their franchises are using it now! What a bummer! I loved and supported this business for years and now, I will not return. Yeah I know its just mayo but, This changes the whole taste of the sandwiches. Yes they slice the meats and cheeses in front of you. Just not enough of them. And yes, I find the cold cuts to be of very good quality. But I have had a number of the subs here and find all to be VERY light on the meat/cheese while heavy on the toppings -- as if more toppings would make up for the lack of meat. Just got a sub for the first time here in July. The "jersey shore's favorite" cold sub "mike's way" is very good. The ingredients seem to be fresh & high-quality (meats, cheeses, bread, and veggies). Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a good deli sub. They opened this Sterling store in May 2011. They only have Pepsi products in the soda fountain (sorry Coke fans). read more

Although I don't go to Sterling that often I enjoy going to Jersey Mike's since there isn't one in DC. Like most other locations, the sandwiches are great! I like the original Italian on white done Mike's Way (lettuce, tomato, onion with oil and vinegar). It's a great sandwich since the meat is cut fresh and the veggies are fresh as well! The store is clean and there is ample parking outside so if you're ever in the area I highly recommend you visit. Another plus, they sell gatorade! read more

Got carry out of their 14 in giant sub and it was delicious. They put some seasoning on their vegetarian sub and it tastes fresh. I would much rather pay the little more pricy $10 for this sub then subway any day. It's bigger, fresher an tastes much better. I grew up outside Philly and this is pretty darn close to the real deal. Make sure you get it Mike's Way - the only way a Philly/Jersey hoagie should be served! I also appreciate their Sub in a Tub - a layer of lettuce, all the fixings of whatever sub you want, plus the toppings and oil/vinegar/spice = no bread! While I love bread, my hips not so much.
