Went in there on a Saturday afternoon to pick up sandwiches to bring over to the grandparents and have lunch with them. The 3 people working when I went in were the most unfriendly, rude people I ever encountered when ordering food. They just didn't seem like wanted to work or serve anyone. They kept mumbling things under their breath. I wanted one sandwich with ham, turkey, and roast beef. The worker looked at me like I had ten heads. I went to Jersey Mike's to order a large Cali club. It comes with turkey and ham, cheese and bacon and then whatever you want to add, it also comes with avocado I paid extra for more avocado and my toppings were mayo and salt pepper, and also some oil & vinegar And that's it other than the extra avocado I paid for. I was the only customer in the store it took 15 minutes for them to make my sandwich and I never ordered oregano. I'm allergic to it but he dumped it all over the sandwich and then he took some of the meat off and the manager thought that he had forgot to put the meat on because apparently he's new and he moves like Pondwater but that's fine because he's new and he put more on it and then he went up and down the sandwich like four times with the red vinegar so it was a wet sandwich. The bread was soaking wet and when they put the avocado on, they smeared it down one piece of the bread and like ran the knife back and scraped off the top part of it and put it back so I asked him if I could get some avocado on the other side of the bread because I'd like to taste it at least and I know I was kind of being a smart butt but I was aggravated , so I get home and my talking that I had were pretty simple, but I get home and there's no bacon that bread is stopping wet and this is after I asked the guy if he could tip the sandwich and pour off the puddles of oil and vinegar cause there's so much and I had the same issue with the mayo. It was one wet, gooey, messy sandwich, so I tried calling their phone doesn't work Which I don't get when you own a business but and then they said if I had told him at the time they would've fixed it, but I didn't know that they left the bacon off and all the other stuff because I had stepped over to get some ice and I had to drive 8 miles back to have them fix it and it was still a sad sandwich. I know the manager & the other girl was trying to make it right but It normally has a bunch of bacon ,I got two pieces of bacon for a large sub and it looked like they were aggravated that I brought it back and so they were just gonna make the sandwich kind of wimpy , the manager was off the clock tonight I didn't expect him to take care of it, but I'll never go back to that Jersey Mike's and waste 20 bucks for nothing. It was sad it was the type of sandwich you couldn't hold because it was so wet and there's so much mayo and all that stuff but I do think when somebody tells you you're allergic to oregano, you shouldnt , just take some of meat and slaps more on there because they didn't take care of the oregano issue, but I know the guy was new but the other guy that was helping wasn't New # so I'm just not really thrilled and I think you have to drive back-and-forth and waste gas & time. We have repeatedly been having problems with our food orders. I am allergic to onions and have gotten onions on my sandwich the last two times. I brought my first sub back and the manager said "You already took them off so it's not like they are even on your sandwich anymore. I don't see the problem." When I ordered delivery today, an entire sub was not delivered. I called the store immediately and they said that it had been left at the store and I could come pick it up if I wanted to. I said it had been sitting there for like 15 minutes and the guy on the phone said "yeah at least that. But if you want it, you can come get it." I said that I couldn't which was why I ordered delivery in the first place and could delivery please deliver it. He said "it's third party. If you want that, you have to do it with them". I said "I didn't know it was third party. It was off the app." He repeated the last thing he said. I asked to speak to a manager and he said he was one. My wife spoke up and said that we had been having problems with the quality of food and the onion allergy at that location and it didn't seem acceptable that he refused to do anything other than hold a soggy sandwich for us to come pick up. He then said "well, we have other locations if you don't like ours, you should go to them". Which he repeated and I recorded with his name, Eddie. This is insane. No apology. No solution. Sandwiches here are fantastic! Definitely use the app it goes a lot quicker and you just pick it up. The bread is always fresh, the meats and cheeses are cut in front of you. My wife loves Jersey Mikes! While she was pregnant, she couldn't eat any lunch meats (possibility of listeria). Once she had our daughter, this was one of her first requests. I hadn't had Jersey Mikes in awhile, so I was down, too! We always get coupons in the mail so I decided to use one the other night. You get 2 regular subs, 2 chips, and 2 drinks for $14.99. Not bad! I drove down and went inside. I went with a #13, Italian sub and my wife went with a #8, the Club sub. Went with some Ms Vickes salt and vinegar chips and a wild cherry Pepsi to drink. Our sandwiches were good! I like how they slice the meat when you order it, and when you get it topped "Mikes Way" it comes with oil and vinegar, lettuce, tomato and onion. I added some of their hot pepper relish onto my sub, too. It was a pretty solid sandwich! We actually went here twice in 3 days! Jersey Mikes sandwiches always get about a 3/3.5 star rating from me. They are good, but they are never "great". What WAS great though, was the customer service here. There was a lady working (never got her name unfortunately) both Wednesday and Friday when I stopped in. I had on my bracelet from the hospital and she asked me if I had a baby recently. We started talking about kids and hospitals and all sorts of stuff. She was extremely friendly, personable and she also made a damn good sandwich! When I came back in on Friday, she recognized me right away and asked how the baby was doing etc. Great, great customer service! Even though Jersey Mikes isn't my favorite, I would come back in just because of her. As long as my wife loves and requests to eat at Jersey Mikes, I will continue to eat here. I have to be honest, when my wife and I walked into the restaurant that was completely empty except for three employees behind the counter, I would have expected a hello or welcome but instead we got nothing but agitated looks as if we were inconveniencing them that we were there. After we got our order and left I had to go back in to get some peppers, all the employees were in the back room laughing and goofing around, I had to stand at the register for several minutes before someone finally came out of the back to help me. Bunch of kids working here that are disrespectful and ignore you when you have an issue with a pick up order. Placed an order online and picked it up. I walked into the store and order my sub. It was fast but then the place was empty. After ordering it I got to see them make it. First they slice the cheese and then the different kinds of meat. I notice that they used the same slicer, but the blade wasn't wipe between the meat and cheese. So my question is What was slice before my meat and cheese slice? Walked in Jersey Mike's subs around 1:30pm on a Tuesday, was greeted as I entered the door. Restaurant was very clean, with plenty of friendly staff behind counter. No lines.. was able to order my 3 custom subs quickly. watched the experts do their magic and put nothing but love into our Mike's way subs.. My favorite #9 on rosemary parm, I add pickles, extra lettuce, yellow peppers and jalapeños with a bag of Miss Vickie's chips. The others were #3 and #10.. super delicious!! Convenient how this employee neglected to ring in my purchase under their name... because they were probably the most rude & arrogant I have ever encountered. 11/17/17 at 8:37pm your employee was helping ONE customer prior to myself, who had just walked in. Your employee then walked AWAY from the counter. Did not acknowledge me whatsoever. Did not say, "one moment please". No "hello". NOTHING. Another employee was mopping the floor. And another was standing in the back watching. For FIFTEEN MINUTES I stood there waiting for even ONE employee to acknowledge me! I walked in at 8pm.... the restaurant closes at 9pm. It took until 8:23 to even be acknowledged! No idea why I even bothered to sit & wait after that total disrespectful bs. ...big shock the order came out entirely wrong. And going back to ask it to be fixed is hopeless when it already took THIRTY MINUTES to get ONE sandwich out of THREE employees who all have 0 regard for customer service. It was obvious the one at the counter was "in charge". And was terrible. I pointed out (POLITELY, mind you, regardless of their demeanor) that cleaning should have been put aside for AFTER assisting customers & a simple acknowledgement of presence would have made ALL the difference between standing there being ignored for the majority of the experience. This location has only been open for a few weeks and after how I was treated I will NEVER eat there again and this has nothing to do with food! I was with my daughter and she stopped in to pick up an order, and I needed to take my medicine, for a medical condition, a HEART CONDITION! and asked the employee if I could have a drink to take my pill and he said NO. I said please, I just need a sip to swallow my medicine so I do not get sick, and I even had my own cup! and again was told NO. The employee stated it is "company policy" to not allow that? I said I literally just need a sip, he did not offer me to have a drink of water, or anything! The line was full and ALL the customers heard him tell me NO, one lady (who was older) was shocked and told me to just go get a drink, her mouth was wide open in dismay. As I was leaving this "employee" proceeded to tell ALL the customers about what just happened (my guess is because they were all shocked and disgusted at his smug behavior) as if he was mocking the situation. Sometimes medications need to be taken suddenly, such as mine for a HEART CONDITION! I understand that cups, lids and straws are a big cost for restaurants (BUT I HAD MY OWN CUP WITH ME!) but this is appalling, one sip of a drink is considerably less than what anyone "dumps out" while filling or refilling their drinks. I filled out the customer complaint form and contacted the Facebook page and was told to contact the franchise owner, which I did, almost 10 days ago and still have gotten NO response! This area of Surprise is by Prasada, and several of our elderly community live and shop in this neighborhood and I would urge everyone that may need to take a life saving medicine suddenly, or even an aspirin to NOT EAT HERE! the employees and obviously the management/owners do not care if nobody can bother to reply or call about this! read more
