Diego was amazing! My BF had seen some viral video about the tuna sandwich but he's not a big fan of celery. Called other locations to ask about the tuna and they were all rude. Diego went out of his way to answer our questions and even told us the ratio of celery to tuna. We came in based on his customer service over the phone and when we ordered he remembered us from the phone conversation. Again he went out of his way to try and not add a lot of celery. For instance today my girl called over and asked for our usual Supreme Club Giant sub, with the oil + vinegar + onions on the side, and I drove over to pick it up, get all the way home to find out the sandwich is dry and the no condiments included that we clearly requested on the side. I ordered take-out via the app to redeem reward points for a free sub. I chose the Portabella Chicken Cheese Steak. It was an easy process. The sub was ready right when I arrived at the restaurant. When I got home, it was still piping out. It had a lot of filling inside and it was very cheesy. I got the rosemary parmesan bread for the sub, and it was so delicious! One guy came in and greeted them all by name and they did the same asking him if he wanted his usual. I thought that was pretty cool. We went during lunch, but they prepared our sandwiches quickly and we didn't have trouble finding somewhere to sit. I always get a #13 Mike's way without onions on the rosemary Parmesan bread and it always tastes great. My husband tried the #9 Club Supreme on the rosemary bread and loved it. Jersey Mike's is chain of franchised sandwich shops that primarily serve submarine sandwiches. I've found the Tustin location on Newport Avenue to be pretty good. The staff there are great. One person slices the roll and places the meat(s) and cheese(s), another places the toppings and dressings, and another rings up the order. It's very efficient. Jersey Mike's is definitely a step up from Subway. Rather than rely on pre-portioned meats and cheeses, the meats and cheeses are sliced fresh when you order. The quality of the ingredients is evident. You don't have to tell them what to put on your sandwich if you order "Mike's way," but be forewarned the dressing will be oil and vinegar with salt and pepper added. For some sandwiches, "Mike's way" is the way to go, for others "Mike's way" is less than ideal in my opinion. For instance, when I get the roast beef, I have them dress it with mayonnaise and mustard. Horseradish would be awesome, but they don't offer that. The "Giant" size sandwich clocks in 14" to 15" compared to Subway's footlong size. It's not cheap; a "Giant" size roast beef sandwich and a small bag of chips came to $18.35 at the register. Throw in a $2.00 tip, and you are north of $20.00. On the other hand, it's plenty big enough for two people or for two meals. read more

Today I came in because I always order a wrap. So the minute I come in the employee stares at me with an attitude asking me if I read the sign at the door, so I told him I just wanted a wrap. Without looking at me or saying anything back he turned around, so I asked him if it was ok to have a wrap. The time was 8:34pm. I had to ask him three times until he responded. I told him he looked very upset and he just asked me what type of wrap I wanted. l ordered because after a long time at work I really was craving for my wrap. He was sloppy and rude while making my sandwich. He actually put the wrap on the flat top grill that was so gross, he didn't even tried to clean it a little. It is so upsetting! I also wanted my rewards points for my order but I didn't want to say anything else because he was so rude and I was already so upset and about to cry of frustration after such a long day at work. His name on the receipt is Luis. I hope the manager of this location sees this and has a talk with him and all of his employees so they actually close and clean at 9:00pm, not half an hour earlier so the employees won't be in such a hurry to leave and get upset over having to bring everything out again. read more

Every single one of them was friendly with a positive attitude, even with the long line and all the mobile orders. This group should be rewarded. With that being said the sandwiches from this location have always been great, I've never had a problems. The bread is always fresh, they don't skimp on ingredients and if you order the same sandwich all the time it always taste the same - which some places haven't mastered. I came into this location this afternoon, and was pleasantly surprised by the man making my sandwich. He was personable, and made sure my sandwich was absolutely correct. I ordered gluten free, and he made sure I was being taken care of, and immediately made sure to ask if I had a dairy allergy too, when I said no cheese. Not only did he get everything 100% correct, but he went the extra mile to make sure if I had allergies, he was going to do his absolute best to accommodate me. It was my first time trying JMS. They were busy during lunch, obviously, because they offer good sandwiches to many. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't too happy with these sandwiches. 2 out of 3 sandwiches came with old or dry bread, and I really couldn't enjoy my meal. I'm sorry, but the old bread played a major issue for me. The meats seemed good quality, but I really couldn't taste anything memorable. I even used bread that I had at home to improve the sandwich. In the last 6 months, we have become loyal fans of Jersey Mike's. I actually got my husband hooked because he had one bad experience years ago and was hesitant to try it again. We always order the Giant Italian Sandwich and share it. White bread, Mike's Way with mayo and pickles. Today, Saturday, we took advantage of the free delivery promotion for the weekend. Placed an order on the app (super easy and fast), monitored the delivery via the link they texted me and it was delivered earlier and safely by Xiaogang, the driver from Door Dash. He was friendly and polite. We have ordered take out on other occasions from this restaurant and consistently, great sandwiches. Fresh ingredients, fresh bread and they have never made a mistake. The first and last time I had Jersey Mike's was when I was in high school (...eep!), when they first started opening up in the West Coast. I remember it being too greasy from the amount of olive oil they loaded up on the sub, and never went back. Fast forward ten-some years later, I'm back again and placed an online order (they didn't have this back then forsure!). Redeemed my birthday sub for a #5 Super Sub and asked for less olive oil this time. Still felt kind of like an oil slick after having the sub, but can't complain about free!
