    Jessica's Bento

Jessica's in Kapolei is a newly opened location that took over the old Mad Bene space. The restaurant has a really nice, spacious layout, and despite the size of the restaurant and how busy they were, the service was actually pretty efficient. There were only two people serving when we went, but they were moving! They did a great job keeping up with everything and making sure things were getting taken of. That being said, you could tell they were a little overwhelmed and in a rush at times. When we told our server that one of the drinks we ordered tasted funny, she was quick to offer to replace it, which I appreciated, but she didn't really offer an alternative. It took a second try before we were able to get something different. As for the food, it was okay. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out to me either. Maybe I'm a little biased since I grew up eating Filipino food, but for the price, I just don't think the food was worth it. I ordered Jessica's Bento, and unfortunately, it just didn't hit for me. Personally, I'd rather get a Zip Pac from Zippy's for less money. Would I come back? Yeah, I would. They have a pretty big breakfast menu, and I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying some of their breakfast options. I think there's potential here, especially since this is a new location, so I'd give them another shot!

Wife and I came for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Arrived around 8am. Perfect timing cuz it got packed and really busy by 8:30am. It's their soft-opening, so you can expect the typical glitches. This time is the service. While it's friendly and professional, it's painfully slow. Obviously they need several more workers. You can't have ppl waiting at the front door for more than a few minutes without being acknowledged. Their food was good, though they only give one egg with their French toast combo. In terms of ambiance, it's pretty bland... no real decor to speak of. Just plain white walls, nothing to indicate you're in a Filipino restaurant. But, again, it's soft opening so it will get better. We'll be back for lunch or dinner after they are done with soft opening.

Decided to try Jessica's for brunch around 11:30am and waited about 30 minutes for a party of 2. I'd recommend going earlier if you want to avoid a wait. The inside is spacious, but there are only around 10-12 tables, with most able to seat up to 4 people. Larger parties may have a harder time finding a table together. We tried the Jessica Moco and the Lechon Kawali with eggs and adobo fried rice. Both were delicious, and I'd definitely recommend them! The prices were a little higher than I expected for a brunch spot, but other than that, I really enjoyed the food and would come back if I'm ever in the area.

Owner Jessica is so wonderful and full of Aloha! You can feel the love . Food was generously proportioned, flavorful, with a local flair. I want to come back again and again to try everything on the menu! They were packed with people and hella busy, so you need to be patient! Their wait staff are trying their best, so need to be understanding folks!

We were hungry for a late breakfast and decided to try this hidden gem after hearing good things. We went on a Sunday, and there was a ton of parking upstairs of Westridge Shopping Center where Jessica's is located. Many of the choices on the menu were very tempting, but we really came by with the hope of sampling their Prime Rib Loco Moco, which we'd heard about from friends. We ordered that to share, and each had the sweet bread French toast. The Prime Rib Loco Moco was awesome. The meat was perfectly cooked, and the gravy had just the right flavor to put everything together with the egg and fried rice. The French toast was the perfect sweet compliment to the savory loco moco dish. Service was fantastic, we were constantly attended to and everyone was very friendly. We really enjoyed our meal and will be coming back soon!

Congratulations Jessica with you and your staff opening and moving your business here at Kapolei Commons! You never disappoint and kudos to the chef!! Wishing you good luck and prosperity here. One added plus.. she serves breakfast all day. So if you're ever down on the Leeward side Jessica's is a must, they are located next to Regal Theater

Didn't realize there was a new restaurant in Kapolei where Mad Bene used to be, so we decided to try it out. Place was nice, clean and open. Super friendly staff. They just opened up, so not everything on the menu was available, but we got what we wanted. Wife got the adobo fried rice omelette with longanisa and she said it was very good. I got the lechon kawali and it was delicious also! The portion sizes were very good, where we took our food home, so you do get you money worth. I'll definitely be back to try other menu items! Highly recommended!

Amazing spot hidden in the upper level of a plaza, Jessica's was insanely good. We got the big local breakfast with fried rice, a nice "sampler" of stuff that's very filling. Bacon was okay; spam was great, Portuguese sausage was great. We also got the Jessica's Moco, the gravy on it was fire. Great portions overall and would definitely come back! Servers were all very nice to us as well. I suggest taking the streets up to the second floor in the back so you don't have to park in front and take the stairs!

Our first time here and we came for lunch! When we first walked in, we noticed how hottt it was inside. Not sure if their a/c was not working... But we almost walked out. :( Hopefully they can fix that. Thankfully there was an open booth for my family of 4. They sat us and we were able to get water quickly. We looked at the menu and noticed that all of their entrees were mostly $25+. A little on the pricier side if you are looking to spend. But, the portions are pretty big. So you would be able to share a plate depending on how hungry you are. Overall, we would come back on a Special occasion. Their chicken was amazing and the rest of our food that we order was pretty good as well. Their service was top notch and their servers were really attentive. We hope to be back soon!

Cute place in a kinda divvy strip mall. Inside the place is amazing. Very clean & ono food. We shared the lumpia & bento plate. Delish. Jessica welcomed & waited on us. With hubby helping out. Would eat here again if we were in the area.

I don't remember if I left a review for this lovely restaurant when my son & I stumbled upon this restaurant when they were having their soft opening. I remember the people & staff being very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Their menu had delicious items and I ordered the prime rib loco moco. It was delicious and I knew we needed to come back again. I want to bring my husband here one day. Did not have that chance yet. My mom recently posted pictures on FB from when she & my step-dad went to eat there. Form their two trips there combined, they've tried the fresh corned beef and cabbage, prime rib loco moco adobo fried rice, adobo fried rice omelette with lechon kawali & the breakfast fried adobo with spam & eggs. breakfast. Looks so yummy ! If you want good food, great service & a comfortable welcoming atmosphere, go to Jessica's and you won't be disappointed.

This place is definitely getting more and more popular! Food is delicious but a little bit on the higher side price wise for a breakfast/brunch place. I should come for lunch one day but we're always in the area during breakfast time lol. The adobo fried rice is sooooo good! I love their lechon as well, the sauce is perfect with the pork. Workers are very nice, especially Jessica herself she is so sweet!

A cute little hole in the wall across Pearlridge shopping center! Me and my husband went around 9am on a Friday so there was no wait at all. Granted, most people are working so I didn't expect it to be too busy. From reading reviews, it seems like it gets pretty hectic on the weekends. As a Filipina, I will always have a weakness for adobo fried rice and longanisa. My husband ordered the corned beef hash and devoured the whole thing so I couldn't take a picture. I have to say that the portion size is MASSIVE! This omelette was about the length of my forearm and I honestly expected probably half the size for the price. There was also a generous amount of pork throughout the rice and it was seasoned well without being overly salty. The longanisa was also juicy and had a nice char. The service was also friendly, quick, and efficient. She gave me a box right before I was about to ask so she anticipated our needs really well. She checked on us often so we were well taken care of. So tasty and well worth every penny! We both had a really memorable experience and definitely will add this to our list of brunch spots in the area!

The GOOD: unlimited steamed lobster, snow crab, fresh poke, oysters, decent service, and lovely live music. The BAD/AVERAGE: - We were told that some of their ceiling fans weren't working so it gets pretty hot if you're seated by the pool/live music area. Our table also rocked back and forth throughout the meal. It's starting to feel outdated. -There were flies around some of food -The prime rib was the driest/overcooked I've ever had at a buffet, and the lechon was mostly dry as well with some parts were hard crispy. -Compared to previous visits, there was no sashimi station or steamed dim sum, which was a huge disappointment, especially since they had already done away with the pan-grilled lobster. -For the cooked/hot dishes, there were egg foo yung, stir fried veggies, one chicken dish, one lamb dish, and noe pasta. Also were average taste, and just very limited options compared to other brunch/lunch buffets! -There was also a whole cooked fish sitting on the opposite side of the buffet, away from the seafood station, with no label at all. It was completely untouched the entire time we were there, which honestly said a lot. -The ramen bar is a cool concept, but the broths don't taste good and had odd topping choices. -The dessert selection felt limited, and the vanilla ice cream had a strange texture that fell apart instead of being creamy. What frustrates us the most is that the price continues to increase (3-4 times), yet nothing really stood out or added to justify it. If anything, it feels like there are fewer options than before. We've been coming here since the good old days too and it's apparent that it's not as amazing as before. The unlimited lobster is really the only thing that sets this buffet apart, and while I understand you won't find that at most other buffets, it's still hard to justify $135 per person for the overall experience we had. We won't be coming back.

Compliments to Chef Meghan for an exceptional dining experience. I ordered the Japanese breakfast, which featured misoyaki butterfish, steamed rice, tamagoyaki, and an assortment of sides. Every component was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. My guests ordered the French toast with breakfast sides. One of them chose it because it reminded her of the French toast she enjoyed at her wedding, which was held at this very restaurant this past February. It brought back wonderful memories and made the experience even more meaningful. Overall, everything--from the atmosphere and service to the outstanding cuisine--made for an exceptional brunch. We can't wait to return!

Siamin was maybe my favorite dish, smokey the noodles extra al dente and the pork was flavorful 9.5/10. Pesto Gnocchi was pillowy and soft and the pesto sauce was light and flavorful and was one of the few vegetarian options. I would get again 8/10. Side of broccoli was spicy and zesty 9/10. Cocktails were also very nice way to start. It's a tradition to always hit the minkeypod when in hawaii and will continue. Don't forget the pies! Overall, definitely a touristy vibe but pretty good quality overall.
